Review: NEB Construction was contracted to build a new home. We moved in the middle of April 2013, despite multiple "punch list" items that the builder stated he would address. He was paid in full for his job per contract, yet we he has not fulfilled his contractual responsibilities and duties. We have been in contact with the builder, via email, text messaging and phone up until I write this complaint. He has told us time and time again, "to just bear with him: and :he didn't forget about us". However, now this is a huge leak in our living room ceiling and by our front entrance (despite a variety of other leaks throughout the house). We have sent him pictures and I am afraid for a mold issue and electrical issue as some of these leaks are coming down through electrical fixtures. My lawyer has even sent him a letter stating that all matters need to be addressed before the end of January. Yet, he still hasn't heeded our lawyer's plea. We feel that our builder has walked away with our money and hasn't fulfilled his contractual obligations. Now, I am live in fear for a potential mold issue and fear that one of the lights in my living room will burst with my 19 month old son sitting on the couch.Please advise how we can get him to finish his punch list and address these leak issues.Desired Settlement: We'd like our contract addressed as our builder walked away with $25,000 of our money. First, we would like that back. Then, we would like a third party to inspect the house and write a list of items that are "wrong" with the house. Then, we would like a third party to fix these mistakes and address our punch list, as well as items that were not complete or installed incorrectly per drawings (i.e. Azek trim stated on drawings, yet not installed correctly and everywhere) at builder's expense.
