Revdex.com of New MexicoRe: [redacted]The 1999 Ford Ranger which was brought to Ed Corley Ford for repair was incorrectly advised from [redacted].  Our certified technicians received the vehicle after it had been in two shops in Grants and I believe [redacted] said he had spent over 2,000 dollars and...

did not get the vehicle repaired.  I was not the adviser or service manager at the time that the vehicle was brought in.  I do however understand what repairs had been done and what we completed. This vehicle has the appearance as if it came out of the wrecking yard.  It needs a complete rebuilding through the vehicle.  Our technician had already put in over 15 hours of work time trying to figure out how to piece this vehicle together.  The recommendations given were ignored by [redacted] and being a computer technician and a certified vehicle technician are very different indeed. It would have required entirely more than the 15 hours spent on the vehicle but 4 hours and the parts that were put on the vehicle.  He was refunded money that placed as a deposit.  The parts were on the vehicle when he sent a tow truck to pick it up.  The wiring and harness and transceiver were installed.  His vehicle needs extreme overhaul in every area possible.  He was advised of that.Kaul C[redacted]Service Manger

When Ms. [redacted] came into the dealership on 12/12/17 for routine maintenance and during the multi-point inspection the recommendation were installation for rear brakes, she gave us the ok and we installed brakes. Ms. [redacted] then called the Service Manager Frank R[redacted] and told him the problem still...

existed.  So the Service Manager Frank requested that she bring the vehicle back into the dealership and he will redo the brakes at no charge to her.  On 1/6/2018 Ms. [redacted] took her vehicle to Don Chalmers and had the brakes replaced.  She then contacted Frank and wanted Ed Corley Ford to Reimburse her for the work that was done at Don Chalmers.  Frank, the service Manager responded that what he thought was fair was to reimburse Ms. [redacted] for the money she spent with Ed Corley Ford, but not to reimburse for work we did not do, because if she would have bought the vehicle back the correction would have taken place with no charge to Ms. [redacted]. So we feel, at Ed Corley Ford, the reimbursement was fair for the work that was done by us and that a reimbursement for work we did not complete would not be able to be Warrantied  by Ed Corley Ford.Thank you for your time in this matter.Carolyn E.
