paid these for the protection of the puppy. I am the sole owner of this litter that was sold. (see Reference "A" for Details) [redacted] contacted me August 20,2015 and asked if I could help re-home [redacted] as she has blown both of her knees and [redacted] was unable to pay for surgery. [redacted] stated that the surgery will cost $8000.00 for both. I had gotten a surgery estimate from my vet via phone, that both knee surgeries would cost around $1500.00 total. Also [redacted] in the NEW complaint she is requesting an additional $500.00 for [redacted] to be put down, which only cost $100.00. [redacted] states that [redacted] is perfect except for her eyes and her knees. (see Reference "B" for details). Through text message I replied I would help her re-home her and actually had an elderly man that may be interested. I requested some photos from [redacted] so I could show her to him. Obviously [redacted] does not care about the end outcome for [redacted] because she ignored my request for photos, and instantly she started approaching me about her refund. I was made aware of an eye issue that [redacted] was diagnosed with approximately March 2nd 2015, I had spoken to the attending Veterinarian Dr. [redacted], and she stated that [redacted] vision would not be affected by this matter, and that the ONLY reason this would be an issue is if [redacted] was going to be bred, as that is a breeding disqualification. [redacted] was sold as pet quality on spay agreement with no breeding. Based on Dr. [redacted]'s report, [redacted] would not be replaced for this condition as she can live a normal happy life. On the occasion I do have a litter of puppies I do sell them with contracts that way I have all information and expectations in writing, and I cannot be accused of "stating anything or offering special guarantees", how the contract states, any and all conditions need to be proved by a specialist in the field of genetics, that the condition was passed through the bloodlines of the parents. I do not have multiple litters, multiple dogs, or meet any state requirements to be a licensed kennel nor do I have a business. These are my pets and family and that is why they carry my last name! Both my husband and I are full time employees and our dogs are a part of
our family, we occasionally have a litter so we can enjoy the puppies and the kids can experience a life event. I hadn't spoken to [redacted] since I was made aware of [redacted] eyes, [redacted] blocked me on Facebook, my phone number, and I was also unable to send email. Back to the beginning, [redacted] was sold on Contract and had some specific information that the buyer was to comply with, (reference "A"), I require photos at 6 months and 12 months and yearly afterwards (reference "A" Page 2). To clarify I did not receive [redacted] 6 months or 12 month photos. You can tell a lot about a dog in a photo, examples are over-weight, under-weight, and or neglected, dirty, nails not clipped, etc! A person who loves their dog and makes them a part of their family will not have any issues providing some photos of them. As a family we are excited to see how our babies are being loved. But with [redacted] we have not had that opportunity. Also Reference "A" page 3, [redacted] was to provide me with a copy of her spay documentation before [redacted] Turned 7 months old, I still have not received proof of spay from a licensed veterinarian with her microchip number on it. Also stated in reference "A" page 3, [redacted] is responsible to pay and additional $2000.00 for providing the required documentation. I ask this because there are more dishonest people than honest people that will only pretend to purchase as pet, then tum around and breed every heat cycle without any documentation and giving this breed a worse reputation, let alone not caring for the health of such dog. Many do this because they cannot afford to pay full price to have the correct required documentation. Reference "A" page 4, The general genetic guarantee is only up to 1 year of age, and I will only replace a puppy that has a genetic issue that wasn't caused by anyone, can't be fixed nor be prevented, and must be accompanied by the DNA analysis of genetics, stating those facts. I do not offer refunds under any circumstance! I will offer a puppy replacement if the puppy develops a deadly non treatable disease or hip dysplasia by 24 months of age. That is why we have a contract and both parties mutually agree. In [redacted] case for hips she is rated as excellent on one side and nearly excellent on the other side per Veterinary Dr [redacted] 'reader'. Also the only statement that [redacted] provided to me about [redacted] knees was dated August 18, 2015, which is after 1 year of age. I am also concerned because the birthday of the puppy I sold [redacted] does not match the one on the report. (see reference "C" report & reference "A" both page 1) [redacted] did not follow the requirements as stated in the contract signed on 8-16- 2014, and I informed her of this via email. (reference "B" page 2). [redacted] contract
was voided right after [redacted] failed to follow the guidelines.(reference "A" page 5) When [redacted] purchased [redacted], not only did I read the contract to her and her husband in full I also asked for them both to read it individually and ask any question prior to signing it as well. At this time this was the second time she had been to our house, the first time was when the puppy was approximately 3 weeks old to visit the puppies. Each time [redacted] came she spent more than half of the day here visiting with us and my children taking about her personal life. So If she thought that I was doing something wrong or she didn't feel comfortable with what she saw why did she continue with her purchase. It is unfortunate that [redacted] has blown both of her knees at a young age, but I will not cover this condition as it is completely preventable and walking 5-6 miles daily is way too far for a dog who is under 15 months of age as their tendons are not developed completely. [redacted] stated her "other'' dog did not get issues until an old age was reached but she did not state that somebody else raised that dog for her and she got it when this dog was mature. Maybe the issue here is she didn't have the knowledge to raise a puppy. As [redacted] did not follow contract that was agreed upon, let alone [redacted] developing a knee issue after she was 1 year of age, I am only offering to help rehome her and or to help get other surgery prices. I am sorry that she feels cheated, but out of all of the puppy parents she is the only one who has prevented me from helping/verbally advising her to raise her puppy, I believe she originally blocked me as I was trying to advise her of what she was doing was wrong by with-holding water and food for her to make house] training easier without regards for [redacted], and withholding so much water that [redacted] had a constant bladder infection and put on antibiotics. When [redacted] went home she was one of the biggest in the litter and within the first 4 weeks at home with [redacted] (3 months of age), she became the runt of the litter caused by the with-holding of the water and only feeding her 1 cup of food at meal time. With Rottweiler's as a large breed dog they need enough food and nutrients to grow and thrive properly. I believe this is why she blocked me as I told her she was doing wrong. [redacted]'s dad is almost 8 years old and her mother is almost 5, both are doing excellent as well as all of her littermates! Both parents are health cleared for breeding. With all of this, I understand that everyone has their own personal issues in life, but that is not a reason for [redacted] to threaten me via text message that she was going to spend the rest of her days giving me a bad reputation and she was going to take me to court as well as accusing me of discriminating people with disabilities. [redacted] stated in message to me that she wanted a refund because she needed to purchase a healthy service dog as she is in despite need as [redacted] is not healthy. First I do not
know of any disability [redacted] may have, not am I interested in knowing, that is her personal business. Second several of my puppies are registered service dogs with all of their certifications, I am unaware of [redacted] being a certified service dog, and I do not believe she had any official training. My offer stands to help re-home [redacted] as well as assist with different pricing for knee surgeries, but I will not be replacing [redacted] nor will I be giving her a refund! [redacted] contract for [redacted] was voided for non-compliance. For what you have read you can understand that she has not only submitted one report to you she has submitted one with the Attorney General's Office, Both of which are to be mediators, therefore I have chosen to send you both the same packet and letter.
