I am rejecting this response because: the damage to my car door was done by the tow company. It is bent and scraped. I have an estimate of damages from a body shop and pictures. The tow company did not have the right to damage the car

Let me start by clarifying that we are a repossession company, not a tow company. With that said as you can imagine people are not happy to see us. We just happen to be the ones out their doing our jobs so many choose to blame us or try to get back at the bank or their situation by stating that something is our fault when in fact it is not.The complainant inspected her vehicle and signed releases stating that it was in the same condition as it was when we repossessed it. She had ample opportunity to bring anything to our attention while her vehicle was still on our property. Once the releases are signed and the vehicle leaves our property we cannot be held responsible for any damage. As to the "damage" to her driveway; it is a gravel driveway and their were some minor drag marks in the pictures. This is not damage.

I understand that not everyone will be happy with the response that they receive and/or the resolution. I believe that I clarified this before but I will state it again; we are a repossession company, not a tow company. We are NOT governed by and subject to the "tow laws" as regular tow companies are. If the complainant feels that they have a legal complaint or stance then they need to present it in the proper venue. I think that the complainant does not understand what the Revdex.com is for and definitely does not understand the law.

I am rejecting this response because:  I did not know that they had forced my locked door open and bent it.  I asked for a copy of the paperwork and was refused.  [redacted] said that they couldn't give me a copy of the paperwork for the "privacy of the bank."  I did receive the certified, registered letter from Mr. [redacted] threatening me to drop this claim.  So, I'll approach this from another aspect...what is the nomenclature of the Oregon law pertaining to tows?  Based upon my research, the law states that they cannot enter a locked vehicle and are supposed to inventory contents visually from outside.  This company breaks into cars, "inventories" the contents; puts it in bags and then sells back to the car owner for $50.00.  And just for the record, the credit union put my car payment in a savings account instead of putting it on my car loan.  Their fault and ordered the tow prematurely without contacting me.  A separate issue.   Does the tow company have video of their lot?  I think so.  They can identify that they broke into my car.  [redacted] and the guy who went out to my car with me (they wouldn't let my husband come back because of "insurance" issues) said that their drivers "have magic" tools that can break into vehicles.  I believe that this tow company has practices that are in violation of the law.  Can you please send me the nomenclature of the Oregon law pertaining to tows?  Thank you for your time.
