We appreciate R*** *** business .In regards to the repairs that need to be done there is miscommunication, C*** on his own time has gone out were the customers trailer is parked and taken some pictures to help speed along the process ,however the trailer has to come to the dealership for
repairs the manufacture forest river does not authorize payment to dealers to do service calls, also we are not set up to do service calls .So C*** has gone above and beyond by going out to the customer however it is the customers responsibility to bring their RV into the dealer for repairs to be done correctly and in a timely fashionAnd as we have told the customer our door is open please call C*** and let him know when she can bring her trailer into the dealership . Mr S***, First and foremost, we are sorry you are dissatisfied with your purchaseWe know that you found Pacific Coast RV, and a used Airstream Interstate motor home we had in stock with low miles, and traveled from the San Diego area to complete your purchaseWe were told that our price was the lowest price in the country on this motor home, with applicable milesWe pride ourselves in having the lowest prices! Our customers save thousands, as you did Unfortunately, because of our great pricing....unless prior to purchase negotiations call for it in writing, we cannot do work at no costThis used Rv was sold “as is,” and you declined purchasing an extended service contractMaking this a true “as is” saleThe documents you were provided will confirm this So, I apologize, but again we are unable to pay for fuel from your home to our dealership, trip time, oil changes or any other expense Several weeks after purchase on 2-1-you became upset that we would not reimburse you for these thingsSo even though it was after the fact, In the spirit of good customer relations we promised to order and provide you with batteries and a step lightThis was not part of the original deal or contract in any wayYou signed a form that day, that you were satisfiedWe were to ship these things to your home at our expense We did this, on 2-6-you received your batteries, and emailed us as suchBut, on 2-8-18, we received an email from youThe email stated “breach of contract”The breach you allege, was not receiving the step light that we are providing at no costOnly minutes later, our parts manger responded with the order number, which was placed already, and an estimated eta of 7-business daysEstimated because the part is coming from Airstream, We are at their mercyWe thought your email was a misunderstanding, as the tone changed so quicklyAnd because we have done everything and more than what was originally promised, and timelyBut, hours later this complaint was filed Pacific Coast RV is a licensed and bonded family company, allowed to do motor vehicle business in CaliforniaWe complete our transfers within the time frame mandated by the stateYour report of sale (temporary reg, in your windshield) was providedPer DMV, this is recognized for monthsBecause, there are many automobile and RV purchases every month in the state of CaliforniaRegistration takes timeAgain, you will have you registration and title once completed by DMV within the mandated time period, or soon. We feel that we have not only made good upon all our promises, but exceeded themYou will receive the light and DMV documents within the stated periods However, the customer is always right at Pacific Coast RvWe are always striving to improve our companyThis situation will be evaluated of how we can do a better job in the futureMoving ahead, I hope you make many good memories in your Airstream from Pacific Coast Rv Best Regards, S*** *** - General manager

5/17/ I was contacted by a lawyer representing Pacific Coast RV in regards to a review that I posted on Google I have since removed the original review and have contacted Google to delete any parts of that review that may come up in the future First let me start off by saying that I was contacted by the lawyer not because my review was fraudulent in any way, but because I called them "thieves or a thief." This is how I felt I was treated when the company did not handle the warranty work that was in my contract when I bought my fifth wheel from them I have since learned that I am not alone in this situation with this particular vendor I have contacted the manufacturer of the fifth wheel, and most of the authorizations where in place to have repairs done, unfortunately, the vendor chose not to respond to the requests or promises that were made by their employees for repairs and/or equipment to be added to my trailer I have spoken over the phone countless times to two different managers, shown up in person countless times at their facility and after months of not getting things completed, I finally gave up I'm sure that is what they were expecting me to doI have had to deal with the repairs needed on my own or have just dealt with the issues, because financially I am unable to deal with them at this timeI have looked into the "cease and desist" legal paperwork and as far as I'm concerned, this just warrants my opinion regarding this vendor I was born and raised in San Luis Obispo County I was raised to keep your word and if you shook someone's hand, you better stick by it, because that is how people judge you I have lived by that rule and I have taught my family the same thing I come from a family who collectively has owned very successful business's in the county, and have worked at most of them while growing up I can guarantee you that any customer of those business's would have never been treated as I was treated by Pacific Coast RV It's too bad that there are people who own businesses who only think of the money that go into their pockets and not of the people who are spending their hard earned moneyI would not refer this company to buy from

I am rejecting this response because:The company never told me they can't do the repairs at my home address. In fact if that is the case they had already had a couple men out to do the repairs which were not done correctly. So if they can't do the repairs at my home why did they attempt to repair it in my driveway? I have been waiting at home for appointments with C[redacted] and will get a call a day later saying sorry he has been really busy. What about a call while I am waiting to say "sorry I'm not going to make it"? I have still not got the trailer repaired, C[redacted] has not been back out to review the attempted repairs, and the trailer has been sitting not being used because of faulty repair attempt. I am Very UNHAPPY with Pacific Coast RV and Will NOT recommend them to anyone. I have been told by C[redacted] that he is too busy to keep up with all his work and if that is the case they need to get extra employees. At this point I would like them to buy the trailer back for purchase price and I will be done with their company and not have to deal with this stress anymore. It is making me ill to have to pay for a trailer and not be able to  enjoy it or get it fix properly.

I am rejecting this response because:Received your letter dated May 12. They must think I am stupid regarding 26E. I told them to measure the overall length. So when they said 26' I said ok. I knew the measure of 26 would fit. After getting it home in the shop I couldn't close the door. I measured it myself and came up with 28' 6" overall. They state 'when the motorhome originally left our Lompoc location everything was in working order other than the slide' When we left Lompoc, when the headlights were turned on and put on high beam, on the right side it was hitting the top of the power poles on the left side of the road. Got home noticed right bulb hanging out of the socket. I put it back and it would not tighten and could not reach it, so when we had it back in Atascadero to get the slide out motor replaced, I asked the mechanic to check it. He did. Turn light on coming back home and noticed they were out of adjustment. Took it to Hamilton's Auto Technicians, phone ###-###-####, in Porterville to get them adjusted. They said they couldn't because both light brackets were broken. t The first trip taken after Atascadero was to Goletta for Uncles Birthday we noticed that the AC was not cooling. Took it to the same mechanic at Hamilton's when we got home. He told me there was NO OIL or FREON in the system. They filled the system tested for leaks, and found none. The left clearance lights not working, battery was corroded and would not hold charge. Noticed we had lost propane, took it to the propane dealer, they said who ever filled it didn't tighten bleeder valve. There was NO operation manual for the vehicle and they stated they would get one for us. To date they have NOT.On the way home from Lompoc I stated to my wife that it sure drove wriggly in the rear. I took it to Ford in Bakersfield they said tire pressure was low, I will take blame for not checking the tires, as I figured the dealer would have check them before saying it was ready for us to pick it up. Took a trip recently, to Arizona, before coming home, checked the tires and the one that had been low, was flat. Took it to a tire shop and the reason for the low tire was a nail. The reason we never went back to Lompoc since Jan. 28 is I tried calling on 1-15-16 to Scott at 4:p.m. and he didn't return my call. Called again on 1-16-16, 9:45 a.m. he didn't return the call. Tried to talk to mechanic there on 1-16-16,11:30 a.m. didn't call back. Called 1-16-16, 1 p.m. got will call back too busy. Still on 1-18-16 didn't get a call as they said they would. They said that they would get (manual) or do something and never do. So this is why I never went back.Feb. 12, 2016 called [redacted] at Atascadero about a operation manual and he never did get one either.

To Whom it may concern
[redacted] & [redacted] purchased there 26E Flair from Pacific Coast RV December...

18th 2015. They took delivery on Jan 4th 2016 at the time of the walk thru
it became apparent that the bedroom slide was malfunctioning we diagnosed that it was a control box for the slide. We did not have that part in stock it needed to
be ordered. At that time we showed Mr L[redacted] how to override it to get slide in and out. To make it more convenient we arranged for them to set an appointment
at our Atascadero location once the part arrived. Upon them scheduling with our Atascadero store they were told that the work would be completed at the end of
the day. The part was installed as well as there cabinet door. The motorhome they purchased was a 26E that model number represents the interior length of the motorhome
does not take into account the bumpers and ladder. Mr and Mrs L[redacted] were previous RV owners and were aware of this. When the motorhome originally left our Lompoc
location everything was in working order other than the need for bedroom slide controller and a cabinet door. Unfortunately due to the nature of an RV once it is used a couple
times things need to be fined tuned it is a house on wheels. the other issues they have experienced are mostly chassis related. We do no chassis work and Mr and Mrs L[redacted]
were aware that they would have to take it to a Ford store for those. Mr and Mrs L[redacted] have not been back to our dealership since January 28th.
not sure how to address the rest give me a call

I am rejecting this response because:  It is false and misleading.  I am not going to pursue this matter further since I have finally obtained most of what was due to me as part of the contract.  The respondent never contacted me to get my side of the story and only used what he was told by the other parties involved.  I had all of the things mentioned in writing and verbal acknowledgement from the staff that what I was asking for was agreed to.  Yet, when it came time to deliver, it was delay after delay and then they tried to renege.   Maybe they do better on low end products for which they have a dealership relationship with the manufacturer but I doubt it.  Their operation seems to be promise everything and then wear down the customer until they walk away.  I read the reviews on Yelp and discounted some of the negative ones but it appears they were right on in terms of keeping their word.  They mislead me on the ownership of this coach by saying that the owner bought it for personal use.  This coach was NEVER registered in CA until I did it.  So this tells me that he was either cheating the state out of their rightful registration and taxes or they mislead me in thinking this as not a coach they obtained for some other means.  All in all a poor experience with this dealership.   Never again.
