Review: On December 20th, 2013 we signed a contract to replace all the kitchen cabinets in my home. Per our email conversation on December 16, 2013, [redacted] said that the entire project would take 5-6 weeks to build. In the same email he also mentioned that the base cabinets would only take a couple of weeks and could be installed first so we can use our kitchen but that was not the case. It took Mr. [redacted] 3 months to come back to my home after we signed the contract and install the base cabinets and the only reason he finally installed the base cabinets was because I had to threaten him about reporting his business for his delay. It has been over 4 months and Mr. [redacted] keeps giving us the run around. He gives us a date that he will come back to finish and never shows up, and to make matters worse he does not pick up our phone calls or return our calls. Just this past Sunday, May 04, 2014, he was suppose to come back and finish the work, he has not called us to explain why he did not show up for the 10th time. We are frustrated because this man has made every excuse in the book, from blaming his painter for the delay to saying he was in a car accident the day of installation. Let it be noted that he has not given any valid excuse for his excessive delay. In addition on March 18, 2014 I sent him an email, expressing my dissatifcation with his delay and unprofessionalism. I also warned him that I would be contacting DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS CONTRACTORS STATE LICENSE BOARD along with Revdex.com if he did not complete our kitchen cabinets. He requested that we give him 50% of the money upfront on the day of the contract signing so we did, and an additional $4500 after he installed the base cabinets and we did. We have met every payment he has requested, been available for him to come back and finish the work but he has taken our money and now is no where to be found.Desired Settlement: We would prefer if he finished the job once and for all, but at this point I don't know if he's even capable of doing that. I need him to call us to tell us if he wants us to find someone else to finish the our cabinets, because he does not return my husbands or my phone calls. If we do go with someone else to finish the work and the amount is estimated to be more than what we owe him, I want him to refund us for that so we can pay the next contracter.
