HI , I'M INCLUDING A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL WORK ORDER, ON THE SERVICE PROVIDED FOR THIS VEHICLE ON 3-27- THE CAR HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND WAS AWARE TO THE CUSTOMER , SHE THEN SAID THAT HER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT THAT IT HAD BEEN ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS SHE CAME IN THE NEXT DAY AND SAID THAT HER CAR WAS RUNNING RUFF WE THEN HAD OUR MECHANIC CHECK IT, AFTER THE CAR WAS PUT IN THE WORK AREA THE ENGINE TURNED OFFOUR MECHANIC CONCLUDED THAT THERE WAS NO COMPRESSION ON THE ENGINE, WE GAVE HER A ROUGH ESTIMATE ON WHAT THE CAR NEEDED, SHE THEN REFUSED SERVICE, AND SHE HAD THE CAR TOWED AWAY.BASED ON YOUR LETTER THAT THE CAR WAS DAMAGED DUE TOO MUCH OIL, ENGINES WILL NOT STOP WORKING WITH THIS MATTERWE HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE , YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL THAT IT HAS RECALLS TO THE ENGINEONE OF THE MAJOR PROBLEMS IS THE TIMING CHAIN, AT THIS POINT WE CANNOT SAY EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ENGINE UNLESS WE DO A FULL DIAGNOSTICIF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT ANY TIME [redacted] BUSINESS OR [redacted] CELL [redacted] ***
On October 27th 2018 I took my car to get serviced I got my alignment done and an oil change. When they did my oil change they did not put the oil filter on properly so all the oil leaked out. When my oil light went on it was already to late. Now I've got to get a new engine which is going to cost me couple of thousand dollars.
Hi, I’m *** from Pacific Tire & Wheel of Rosedale Inc, This is the response to the complaint done towards Pacific Tire & Wheel of Rosedale in regards to a 2003 Subaru Baja 2.5L vehicle ( LP#***). Complaint date was 02-14-19.We have in our records that Tristan came in our shop on 10-27-18 & requested an oil change & an alignment & was completed. With all due respect , we were never contacted by the customer to inform us about the issue. If the customer would of contacted us immediately we would of looked into the concern or the cause of the concern, to see if we were at fault & if so, we would of most definitely taken care of the matter 100%. But yet , we were never contacted , since the issue was resolved,Therefore ,there’s no way for us to determine if we were at fault.

I am rejecting this response because: How could I have taken my car back in right away my oil was leaking slowly because oil filter was put on loosely. it wasn't getting hot I didn't blow a tire out I also live 2 1/2 hours away. So I guess we go to the next step.
I brought my car in for an oil change and general check up. I was told by the mechanic at Pacific Tire & Wheel that my car was running well and all they needed to perform was an oil change. Within 12 hours my car was running rough and then stopped running completely. I was told that there was no compression and that I either needed Valve replacement ($3,500.00) or perhaps a new engine ($5,000.00). The cause is that too much oil was put in my car at the time of the oil change. Mike from Pacific Tire & Wheel told me that the cause of my vehicle no longer running was a coincidence and was no fault of their repair shop.

I am rejecting this response because:
Pacific Wheel and Tire used a diagnostic tool for my check engine light. They left the tool in my car which I returned to them after my car stopped running. I was told they performed the oil change and nothing came from the check engine light diagnostic tool. I have attached pictures of too much oil being added. VW instructions continually warn that overfilling oil will cause damage to the vehicle.
