I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintThe only thing that will solve the matter at hand is getting my down payment backBy law the car lot has to give me my down payment back if I return the car within days and I returned the car within a week of havingI'm only asking for my $back and that's not much that I am askingI am a single parent and I gave my last to get a car all I am asking is to get back what I gave.

On Friday, 8-12-16 [redacted] purchased a car from Uncle Joe's of Sc. We received a call on Monday 8-22-16 stating that the car had a few no starts since buying. She immediately wanted her down payment money back. The car was picked up and taken to M[redacted] on [redacted] in...

S[redacted] for diagnostic. On Tuesday afternoon, 8-23-16 I called [redacted] stating that the car had a battery disconnect code & a sensor needed to be replaced. The car was repaired with no cost to her.  Each car is professionally detailed before selling. If there were any issues with "bugs" that would certainly be taken care off. She stated that her dad had given her a car since purchasing the car from us, and no longer needed it. Our responsibility is to make sure cars are running properly and repairs done by certified mechanics. However, with a used or new car breakdowns will occur.  Attached is our 2 year/36000 mile coverage offered on all cars sold.

In selling any car at Uncle Joe's, a thorough test drive is done before selling any car. At the time of delivery, the car was fine. She stated that the no start problem occurred the next day and 2 to 3 more times in the following week. We were unaware of the problem until she called a week later. As I mentioned to [redacted] that we would have the car immediately checked for her. As stated the car needed a sensor per the repair shop. The car was repaired with no expense to her, and ready for her. However there is no refund of the down payment. The cars are serviced before being sold, but as with any used or new car we cannot predict or prevent any unseen mechanical problem.

On January 21, 2017 [redacted] purchased a 2005 Impala ss from Uncle Joe's Cars, LLC. On January 24th, she called stating their were no low beam headlights and the windshield wipers were not operating properly. An appointment was set with [redacted] Automotive. The repairs were made with no charge...

to the customer. On February 15, 2017 Ms. [redacted] called stating that she was having problem with low beam headlights again. Due to her work schedule, we set an appointment with [redacted] Auto on Saturday February 18th to check out. She did not show for the appointment. In talking with Randy, service advisor at Uncle Joe's, she wanted to go back to [redacted] Automotive. On March 1st [redacted] Auto repaired the light issue with no cost to the customer. On March 14th, 2017 there was a coolant hose leake. The hose was reaired the same day at [redacted] auto at a cost of $82.  On April 10, 2017 the customer talked with Randy stating they were having trouble steering the car. Later that day it was towed to [redacted] Auto. It was determined it was the rack and pinion steering. This item is covered by our 2 year/ 36000 mile warranty with a $100 deductable. The part was ordered and was suppose to be ready by Friday April 14th. [redacted] from [redacted] Automotive was sick Friday and unable to have the car ready as promised. The car was ready and picked up on Monday, April 17th. I understand Ms. [redacted] frustration with car repair issues, unfortunately no one can predict when a repair item may occur. We do have a 2 year/ 36000 mile warranty on our cars that cover a lot off items such as rack & pinion steering. This repair can cost $500 to $600. We make every effort to work with our customers on repair issues, especially after the sale.

On May 20, 2014 [redacted] purchased a 2003 Ford F150 Truck from Uncle Joe's of SC. On June 13, 2014 he came by for free oil change card. On June 30, 2014 customer was having issue with truck using excessive oil, and it was towed to [redacted] Garage in [redacted], SC. On July 1, 2014 it...

was determined it needed a motor. A motor was replaced, see attached document, with a cost of $2400 of which the customer only had to pay a $100 deductable. On August 12, 2014 the truck had a bad U Joint which was covered by the warranty also. Mr. [redacted] paid excellent from the beginning of his loan. However, December 22, 2014 the truck was dropped off stating they were having a child and needed more room. It was turned in as voluntary. We actually held truck for several weeks giving the customer time on his decision. Unfortunately when a car is voluntarily turned in, it still must be reported to the credit bureau.

On December 9, 2015 [redacted] purchased a Chevy Trail Blazer from us with $[redacted] down. On December 14th, he called and stated that the car was overheating. We had the car towed to [redacted] Automotive to get checked out, but he stated he wanted a refund. I offered to put him in another vehicle, but...

at no time stated that the Trailblazer "needed to much work." I offered him a 2007 Chevy Equinox in place of the trail blazer. He and the salesperson did a thorough test drive to make sure the customer was satisfied with this car. They resigned paper work on the 07 Equinox. We got a call on Monday, December the 28th that the Equinox was not running right and was overheating. They requested a rental car, but we stated that the car needed to be towed and get a diagnostic 1st. On Tuesday December 29th, [redacted] Automotive checked the car and stated it had a blown head gasket due to overheating. It would need to have the motor replaced. I called [redacted] stating that the car would be repaired with a replacement motor, and also offered a car rental. He refused stating he wanted the contract cancelled and a refund of his $[redacted] down payment. Since the purchase of the car, they had put 1128 miles on the Equinox. The car is being repaired with a replacement motor at no cost to them. and will be ready the 1st of next week. Our vehicles are inspected and serviced before being sold, however  these are used cars and it's impossible to predict future mechanical problems. We work to find solutions when there is a mechanical issue.Sincerely[redacted]Note: The Trailblazer only need a thermostat and was repaired
