I ordered 2' x 4' pre-made Ipe deck panels from Advantage in AprilBy June they were already splitting and cracking severelyAdvantage accused me of not allowing adequate acclimationThis was their first remark to meNot even an, "I'm sorry to hear that." Just a, "What was your acclimation process." Already clear that they were looking to shirk responsibilityThey then informed me that Ipe needs to be sealed the first year, which out of all the times I have used Advantage in the past no one has ever mentionedOut of my own paranoia I went back to the jobs I did over the last two years and hadn't sealedThey were all in good shapeAdvantage only sends out enough oil to seal the end cuts, if they only honor the products quality if it sealed once then they should be sending out a gallon or two of sealer rather then the quart they sendObviously this couldn't be anything more then their avoidanceI did not even ask for a refund or a stipend for the hours we now need to put in to
I have been lied to on three separate occasions on the delivery of the woodI am a contractor doing a commercial job where I have given the clients expected dates of completion that have not been fulfilled because of lies told by advantage lumberTheir bad business practices have directly and negatively affected my business
