Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

The [redacted] time guide is specific and listed in the places I previously mentioned on how it is to be quoted/broken down, there is no question on this The whole brake hydraulic system was tested to determine the issue being the brake caliper, not just that partThe diagnosis time is presented and authorized in advance of repairs and was authorized, then the repair estimate was presented and authorized in advance, so the repairs were doneThere is nothing further I can explain, this was a text book diagnosis and repair that was approved by the customer at each step within the estimated pricesThank you, [redacted]

Tell us whyThe phrase quoted is in regard to performing any other brake work which we were not To support this in the repair time for replacing both rear brake calipers is noted Includes: In which diagnosis is NOT listed Further, in the on line Q&A .pdf under Q-What operations are included, diagnoses is NOT on the list, & Q-What operations are not included, diagnosis IS on the list. The billing was correct as is.Thank you, [redacted] Service Director here

The transport driver arrived and he discovered a small scratch maybe an inch to two inches in length (picture http://tinypic.com/r/szifeq/). We contacted Mr*** to let him know about it to be right up-front. We asked for a picture of the damage and two estimates from local body
shopsWe informed him that the estimates seemed unusually high for the amount of damage. We fix minor damage every day in our business and most anybody can have a scratch fixed for about $to $Packey Webb sent him a check for $ We know we could get the work done here for $to $250.00. He informed us that he thought he was being treated unfairly, so we even called one of the body shops on his behalf in order to convince them to lower the price. The body shop agreed to reevaluate the estimate, and get back to us with a different number. We have left several messages since then and have yet to reach them

The [redacted] time guide is specific and listed in the 3 places I previously mentioned on how it is to be quoted/broken down, there is no question on this.  The whole brake hydraulic system was tested to determine the issue being the brake caliper, not just that part. The diagnosis time is presented and authorized in advance of repairs and was authorized, then the repair estimate was presented and authorized in advance, so the repairs were done. There is nothing further I can explain, this was a text book diagnosis and repair that was approved by the customer at each step within the estimated prices. Thank you,   [redacted]

All the proper paperwork was signed and disclosed.  We showed the customer all the paperwork when he came in and he did not have much to say after that. Packey Webb ALWAYS discloses buy back cars and trucks.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:                 Under Brake System Inspection, sub heading brake calipers, The [redacted] online manual states “Inspect the calipers for leaks, damage to seals, and piston corrosion or binding’.                 How does a brake caliper inspection occur? Remove the caliper from the disk. Remove the brake pad from the caliper to view the piston and the piston seal.                 How does a caliper replacement occur? Remove the caliper from the disk. Remove the brake pads from the disk. About the same labor procedures, yet charged duplicate labor. These labor procedures appear to be an asset for the dealer and a detriment to the customer. In retrospect, had the dealer labor procedures been explained to me thoroughly, I probably would have taken my business elsewhere.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
