Tell us why here..My Response I am shocked to receive this complaintAs a business, we try our best to make our customers happy, but in this case, one small complaint (which we fixed right away) escalated to you guys quickly. We are a very reputable company and this is the first time we received any formal complaint about our workWe had made mistakes on the past, but we always make it right immediately with our customersWe strive to make our jobs professional & with lots of customer satisfactionBelow, I will address point by point and I am going to try to do it in an organized way because, the original complaint goes back and forth.1) It is not dishonest advertising, however it hasn't been updatedWe were members of the Revdex.com for years and this is the 1st year we are not because we are expanding ur nursery and the cash flow is tightWe are planning on joining the Revdex.com next year again.2) The two young men helping us out are my own children, young and strong, & years old, neither one of them was forced to work, actually they love what we do and they are getting prepared to take over the family business one dayMost likely they both will help pay for their college by working here.3) Yes, it took a couple of extra days to finish due the following reasons: - 1st day we were attacked by wasps (really bad) - 2nd day because we were asked to do a lot of extra work (we re-did the entire front yard, not part of the original agreement, among some extra work requested)We were never informed about the client having to stay extra days home to watch us and missing workAlthough she mentioned she was on vacations from workIt was never our intentions to make her waste her time and we worked everyday, all day, until we finished the jobWe didn't start the job and left for days to come back and finish later like some contractors do.Now we are going to address alleged unprofessional behavior from my crew:A)Yes I agree there was one corner where my crew placed small pieces of fabric and when I showed up (as I did at least timer per day), I've brought it to my foreman's attention immediately and it was corrected right awayThis happened proactively and without the need of feedback from the customer. Then she saw me out there and came out to tell me about it and I explained to her that I had already taken action and the issue was getting fixed before we covered the beds with river rockThe issue was corrected and she inspected the entire bed and approved the work and gave us the OK to cover with rock.B)Yes, I had to buy some wasp spray after we used the one she gave usThe property was so out of shape and non-maintained and they were at least a dozen of wasp hives within the existing plantsI clearly remember how bad she felt about us (we all got stung at least once) and she gave us her bug killer canwe ran out of it immediately and due to the severity of the problem I was forced to leave and get some moreIts needless to say that she apologized to me and my crew in repeated occasions about the wasp infestation at her property.Yes, we sprayed the palms because that's where the hives wereThe bug spray is made to spray on vegetation, it is harmless to plants and pets, basically it is made by soap-water and propellentWe use it all the time we have toand believe me, we do!C)Yes, we planted some ice plants (shallow roots) and part of the roots were exposed, we already went back and added top soilWe did this right after we finished the job and way before this complaintThis particular type of plant can not be planted like the rest, which get buried and then the river rock is addedThis is a very delicate plant and it gets installed after the river rock has been placed, you make a clear spot, cut the weed mat and install the plantWe made the mistake of not adding enough potting soil to some of the plantsI need to be clear that this issue was just in a hand full of plants and we planted over of themnot to mention that the issue was resolved long ago. Also, the time we went back to add the extra soil the lady was gone for work and my office had to call and request for her to unlock the gate so we can go to the back and fix the issue, which she didat no time she requested us to go there while she was thereproof of that is that she unlocked the gate from the inside for us to go in while she was goneotherwise she wouldn't have D)The pony tail palm got resolved just like the item "A"when I showed up it got immediately corrected and approved by the customer right there.E)We have dozens of shovelsand we used themMaybe there was a shovel or two present that didn't belong to us and the possibility of us using those too is real, however, all of our shovels are marked and inventoried and we took back nothing but our stuffAfter the job she came by the shop asking if we took by mistake one of their buckets (we have lots of buckets and we use them all the time)I told her that I wasn't sure and I was going to check on thatneedles to say that since we don't have our buckets inventoried we decided to give her back one of our buckets just to make sure we didn't take anything wrongfully.F)I am sure that everyone used their phones, not just my son.....however we weren't charging by the hour or by the dayit there is any financial loss due to the use of phones, it is Padre Landscapes'G)We already expressed the reasons why it took extra time.H)When we finished the job and she approved all of the work, I went and met with the lady the next day and after she inspected the entire job (let me remind you hat she was there the entire time and she approved every single step of the process)we had to settle upafter all we did a lot more extra work than the one originally agreed upon (not just plants as she claims)i told her what the extra work was gonna cost and she said that she didn't have enough money!!!!!!!I was shocked that my client would ask for extra work done (not in the original agreement) and not be able to pay for the extra services requestedI asked her how much she had and we were paid far less of what the bill wasbut she was really happy that she was able to hard-negotiate with meshe happily paid me the entire balance for the original job plus what she "felt like" for all of the extra job (let me remind you that this extra work took a whole day to complete with a man crew plus myselfI don't remember but I think she paid me only $for all of the extras because that's all she had left..I think this complaint is a bit ridiculous and unreal.....How can you be there every step of the process and make changes on the go, which affected our scheduleapproved the job and happily paid.....never called our office to file a complaint with usrequested us to go back after a problem was detectedproblem gets promptly resolvedand now you want us to give you all of the money back????That's not her money anymore, that's our money, we earned it hard with blood, sweat and tears (literally)We got stung by hives, worked during the hottest part of summer, delivered a superb job, with the higher standardsmake all the changes she wanted without hesitation and without extra chargeswhat else we could've done? The only little thing I accept about the whole complaint is those plants that needed extra dirt and that was fixed over a week agoso I really don't know what's next, all I can't say is that we are going to defend what is ours and we always, always do the right thing with our customers, that's why we have the most solid reputation on Padre Island and it is unfair that this bogus claim is trying to tarnish it.Now we haven't update our business cards or ads about leaving the Revdex.com because we left for months only and it is very costly to do so, if this is a big deal please contact us so we can resolve it [redacted] Padre Landscapes
