Dear Representative Revdex.com,All students, especially the ones that start at years old, which Is our minimum starting age, go through atrial period of at least lessons to pre-qualify themselves if they are ready to start and can handle instructionIf a student If not ready we
suggest that they wait until the student has more of an attention span orincreased interestThey are then given an evaluation of how they performed throughout the trial periodand asked prequalification questions to make them fully aware of the commitment for the program, following the questions the prospective student and parent/s are clearly and completely shown all programoptions of continuationOur shortest program is a one year course which is payable through a monthlybudget plan or offered at a discount if paid in full within daysUpon the parents decision to continue, one way or another, a membership agreement, attendance record, which is a card the student pulls whenthey arrive for class and everything necessary to matriculate a student is then filled out and processedOurmembership agreements are in carbon copy triplicate so all parties receive oneIt is totally up to the parents which option they choose for continuationIf they can't afford the program we shake hands and leaveour doors open for them should their financial situation change in the future. The complainant's child took the trial period, did very well and met ail the qualifications to enroll in theprogram and chose to enroll paying in full to receive the most discount Because of her age she was put inour "Mighty Mite" class which is specifically designed 4,and younger year oldsThis class is minutesin length to accommodate a young child's attention span and behaviorThe class is geared to learn betterfocus, control, attention span and follow simple step directions and learn Taekwondo at a slightly slowerpace until they graduate to the next level class for -year oldsKids at this age are individuals withdifferent personalities, attention spans and behaviors that change from one day to the next therefore Is notunusual for a child look over at the child next to them or lose balanceWe redirect them and continue onwith the lessonComplainant Is not in a position to judge what other people choose to do with their children.According to the complainant, the student was not wanting to do class because she did not like the helpersin the class which are other higher ranking children that perform as role models for the others to follow anddid not like being looked atA private class was then scheduled to work with the studentComplainantcalled and had to reschedule so we then scheduled to come back the following weekThe student did fineand performed above average for her age so the next step was to enter to the group class againThe student arrived and would not participate so we had discussed with the student her possible reasons for notwanting to join the class to help resolve the situationComplainant stated that she has a difficult time dealing with her child as she Is very bold and has to have things either a certain way or her way i.e hair, clothing, etc and the student had previous difficulty following through with other activitiesThis was brought to ourattention about a month and a half after the student was enrolled when we were having a meeting/privatelesson It was clear the year old student was in the driver's seatWe then suggested that the complainanttake over the remaining training time because a refund was not an option as stated in our enrollment agreement and the training would be a good stress reducer for herThe complainant then stated that she didn tfeel like drivingWe then stated that we could put the lessons in escrow to be used by either by the studentor an immediate family member at a later dateThis was the last we had heard from the complainant.in summary the complainant was fully informed of her enrollment options in a non pressured environment:chose to enroll her defiant daughter, knowingly, in the programSigned a membership agreement that clearly stated all terms and conditions and if she didn't receive acopy, could have at any time asked for one and we would have been more than happy to give her oneAttendance cards are pulled by the student but marked by an instructor only after taking classPrivatelessons are also considered a class because they are being taught one on one and the attendance aretherefore marked accordinglyIf a student is absent they are not marked.• We do not have daily occurring feeswe would not be in business for over years if we used paper flashing and pressure tacticsCompetitions were not even an option for this age of student and yes we do charge an admission feewhich help cover expenses for the facility rental, maintenance staff, trophies etcwe do not enroll students who can not attend the classesStudents are only accepted when they canmeet the class per week minimum as Is asked by the qualification questions.• The company Quickbooks records show no refunds,• Lessons are being held in escrow to be used when readyThank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Sincerely,Sarah PaiPai'sTae Kwon DoManager/Instructor/Program Director

Hello, Regarding this matter, this family was always very supportive and receptive of our Taekwondo programThe child was attending the lessons, but without warning, stopped attending in FebruaryThey did not let us know about any personal, professional, or financial problems they were
having with our program or the payments that were due before the issue of this complaint.I had my assistant contact the family to offer a meeting to discuss the situation and what we could do to help them stay in our programIn the case that they wanted to cancel the contract altogether, I would still need to meet with them in order to discuss the reasons for cancellation since the billing company that controls the contract payments needs an appropriate justifications to cancel the contract paymentsHowever, they refused to meet us and instead directly sent a complaint letter to Revdex.com. From the beginning, we make sure to explain and answer questions regarding any of the contracts, help the families find the best fitting one, and answer any concerns after signing up as wellDuring the meeting to sign their child up, the family said they understood what the contracts entail and made the decision themselves which program was best for them personally and financially. We are very open to discuss with the family about cancelling their contract or any other way we could accommodate them.
