Home Lovers is horrible and I would never rent from them again. I know their priority is to protect the owners but without renters there business would not be successful. At first Home Lovers were wonderful very helpful in finding a home to rent. Once I moved in and out is a different story. I live in the house for two years I submitted work orders that were never completed or were lost. When I called to follow-up because I noticed on the Portal the work order had been removed. They told me they had no record of it being submitted or that the owners did not approve it. When I moved out they charge me for all kinds of crazy stuff: Cleaning, doorstops, light bulbs, dry wall repairs, shower heads, tightening paper/towel holder etc…. With all the repairs they are claiming you would think we were crack heads. I have to admit there was stuff that needed to be repair but in no way should have added up to $1500. They took my entire deposit of $1300 and requested an additional $200 in repairs. They were non-responsive when I was disputing items as many of them were on my move-in checklist. They automatically sent me to collection without any notice. When I called them to discuss their answer is always “we are waiting for the home owners to respond.” If that is truly the case then why send me to collection?
So beware when moving in and out. Your work orders will be lost/remove. They will never fix anything and they will leave you with the bill when you moved out.

When my family decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and keep our home in Mesa we chose Homelovers for their responsiveness and alleged "no surprises" approach. We liked their tenant screening process, professional services associated with the book keeping, and their attentiveness. There were issues with the tenant feeling as though they received insufficient service on repairs and eventually they decided it would be best if we let them out of the lease and talked us into allowing the tenant to break their lease, without penalty. The owner informed us of work that needed to be done on the home in the similar areas where the tenant complained. Now the tenant is out and we have not received any responses to our inquiries in their owner's web portal or to any phone calls. At this point, we have not spoken to anyone from homelovers in almost a month and have no idea where we stand with repairs to be completed or any time frame on when our home may be back on the market. The level of service and the timeliness of their responses is atrocious. We've actually found a prospective tenant on our own and they won't return my calls requesting them to screen them. I've actually done the leg work of finding someone for them and they can't even get back to me. We have a single income and two mortgages. We just want them to keep up their end.

I have a property with HomeLovers and I have been using them for several years. I have always referred my friends and family to them to manage properties or to rent a property. The feedback I receive from all of them has been extremely positive. HomeLovers communication is excellent and the experience with them has been very positive.

I have attached letter in response to Home Lovers response.  I am also including the list of witnesses with contact information.  Again thank U for your time in this matter.

a fan repair that I was charged $125.00 that as of the date this property management agency quit on September 1st 2015 still was non operative.  The tenants have brought to my attention that someone from their maintenance department came to the property sprayed WD-40 on it and although it didn't fix it I was billed the above amount.I am requesting reimbursement for landscaping that never took place, in the amount of $200.00 that I have been informed by tenants by the time they sent someone out to property the tenants had already completed the work.I am requesting reimbursement for a two piece desk I left in place in the property that was a $500.00 value that was removed, chopped up and left in the carport for all to see.  How I know this again the tenants have been extremley informative.I am requesting reimbursement for an inspection that not only should have been complimentory via the contract betwee HomeLovers and I but it was falsely reported that the property had no issue with the pool.  This was incorrect.  $150.00 Because of the incompetence of this so called property management agency I needed to empty, clean and treat pool, wich would not have needed to be done if they would have allowed my pool company access to the grounds.  This will be verified by B&L Pools.  $265.00I am also asking for half the fees  charged me for managing my property fo 7 months due to lack of management totalling $343.00Total monies I believe I am entitled to are $1,583.00Accompaning this letter is a list of witness's with contact info that will coloberate my information.  Thank you for your time in this manner.[redacted] [redacted] [redacted]  [redacted]

HomeLovers has no reason to falsify or overstate damages left by a tenant.  Any security deposit withheld goes to the owner.  We have nothing to gain by making false claims.  To assist with disputes we have implemented the...

practice of taking video of every Move Out Assessment. The videos help our clients (the owners of the homes) see the extent of the damage, or ideally, to see how perfect a house is left.  We find the videos to be much more useful than pictures or a written report.  The link to the video is [redacted] We are also attaching the MOA report and the tenant ledger so you can see the itemization of the costs the owner had to incur to get the property back in rent ready condition.  The damages left by the tenant are way beyond the security deposit held. There are three parties involved in this relationship: The tenant, the owner, and HomeLovers.  HomeLovers was damaged by tenant because of contractual charges we will likely never be able to recover from the tenant.  The owner was extremely damaged by repairs and lost rent that they will likely never be able to recover.  Ironically, the only one not damaged is the Tenant… who felt entitled to cause further damage to HomeLovers by creating this false complaint with the Revdex.com. It is our sincere hope that the Revdex.com will not allow this complaint to cause the additional damage intended by the tenant.  Please do not let this complaint be part of our public record.

I worked closely with [redacted] in finding a rental home. Although I decided on a home not listed in ARMLS or from their inventory, she continued assisting me with my questions and needs to make my transition easy and trouble free. The service provided by [redacted] as well as Home Lover's staff was a A+ experience and highly recommended.

HomeLovers is the Agent for the Owner, and in our role as Agent we hire outside vendors to complete work required for the properties. In this case, when the initial complaint was filed we credited the Tenant as requested. The vendor then expressed frustration that they were not being paid...

for sending a tech to the home. We are unable to determine whether the tenant’s account is accurate, or the vendors account is accurate. But HomeLovers ate the cost of the trip, paid the vendor for something that was certainly not our responsibility, and credited the tenant for the charge. That was the only way to keep a valued vendor happy while giving the tenant what they were asking for.The vendor still asserts that they didn’t have to do anything to make the gate work properly and that there was no need for them to be at the home. That is why the tenant was originally charged for the trip.We feel that we acted in good faith mediating between the conflicting claims of the vendor and the tenant. If a complaint is appropriate, we feel it should not be against HomeLovers, but against the vendor. We don’t want them to have a negative score either, but this complaint is truly against the wrong party.Regardless, HomeLovers paid for the trip to make the tenant whole.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

I would like to let everyone who maybe looking into renting a home or having homelovers manage their property to stay clear. We moved out here to AZ in january and was directed to homelovers because we were interested in a home they had for rent. Upon move in inspection there were a few minor issues with the house nothing to worry about but one thing that really turned me off is the first or second week we were in the house we submitted a repair order to fix the the upstairs drain stopper as it was missing and my 6 year old could not take a bath. Nobody responded to the work order so we called and they proceeded to say can't you just fix it yourselves. I wasn't to happy with that but I went ahead and did it anyway the part was $17. The second issue was in the advertisement they stated the neighborhood had 3 community pools in which we did not receive a key for. We called and called trying to get a pool and key and they kept telling us they couldn't get a hold of the landlord. I proceeded to tell them if you called him and told him house was on fire he would call you right back..not even 5 minutes later they called and told us we could get a key in which we had to pay 25 dollars and drive 25 min to pick up. We just dealt with it and went ahead and got the key. The third experience our ac went out we noticed one day after we got home from work the office was closed so we called the emergency line and the man that answered the phone was completely rude to my wife asking us why we didn't call earlier. That really fired me up we brushed it off. Then lastly we noticed our garbage disposal leaking water when we used it. This is still a current issue. We put a service request in which took almost a month to get back to us on. We finally got an appointment to have someone come out and fix it but then the morning they were to come fix it a guy called us and told us he no longer worked for homelovers and had to cancel the appt. Homelovers never called us back to reschedule. A week went by and we called them and told them they needed to get someone out to our house to fix it the sink was getting worse. We set the appt up for like 2 weeks out because we were busy and not going to be home until then. I waited around all day and nobody showed up. I waited a day and no call. I called on a Wednesday and asked what happened and they played stupid like they didn't know they were suppose to come out and we set up another appt for the next Saturday, wife waited around all day and still no one showed. So I call back Monday morning and had a few choice words with the lady we deal with. She plays stupid yet again and keeps saying that she didn't know why they didn't show up blah blah blah. She tells she will call me right back to set up another appt. She never called me back so now I am here doing everything I can to get this issue fixed that keeps getting worse and nothing is being done. I have called a d asked to speak to the manager but convienently he is at a meeting and away from his desk and will not respond to my voice mails. I have read numerous reviews with Same issues people are having with them and I feel like somthing needs to be done about it. They are a bunch of liars and they tell you what you want to hear just to get rid of the situation temporarily. The are incompetent and very rude. Their slogan on their website says we have great customer service. I laughed when I seen that on there. My wife and I am are now going to report them here and do what we can to now get out of our lease.
