Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I refuse to resolve my complaint until I receive my veil and lace needed for alterations for my wedding dressMy wedding is weeks away and I highly doubt she is going to follow through with our contract as she did not follow through with our previous contract for my wedding gownIt is very hard for me to believe that a manufacturer that makes wedding dresses is out of lace as well as veilsThese again are excuses, which further strengthen my point that she is not a legitimate businessThis is the first time I am hearing from her since purchasing the sample gown of my wedding dressShe has not responded to any of my texts since 1/30/regarding my veil and laceI also asked who her Essence of Australia representative is so I could figure out what when wrong with my order and how I could get reimbursed for the hundreds of dollars I will have to pay for alterationsBecause I didn't hear anything back from her, I started to get suspicious of the legitimacy of her business and if in fact it was her fault that my dress was never orderedI did call other boutiques and they were able to get a hold of the Essence of Australia representative for Southern California (***) and she said that Tour of Elegance is not a boutique they do business with and the owner of Tour of Elegance is definitely not getting gowns through themSince ordering my gown back in October, I've also noticed her business phone is now disconnected and her website (http://www.tourofelegance.com/) no longer existsI checked the Essence of Australia website and she is no longer listed as a retailer of Essence of Australia, but she is continuing to sell this company's dresses to girls and claiming she is working with this company and their representative. From all of this, it proves that she is not a legitimate businessUltimately, I do not want other women to go through what I went through and I would like others to be aware of the illegitimacy of this company
Regards,

Regarding Ms. [redacted] first paragraph: Items such as additional lace applique and fabric are often not kept in stock at a manufacturer’s United States headquarters. Since the factories are located in Asia, these items can take weeks to be received here in the United States and subsequently allocated to the receiving retailer. The manufacturer from whom I receive my veils makes them to order, and those can take 6-8 weeks. Nowhere on our amended contract did I give Ms. [redacted] a date on which these items would be received, but as a passionate business owner I made sure to only offer these items to her with the knowledge that they would be delivered to her within a reasonable amount of time before her wedding. Regarding Ms. [redacted] second paragraph: I discontinued my correspondence with her after 1/30/18 because our business transaction had been concluded, and as such, the last two messages she sent were not pertinent to our transaction. Her two messages to which I did not respond were Ms. [redacted] request on 1/30/18 for contact information for my sales representative for the manufacturer of the wedding gown Ms. [redacted] ordered. I was informed by the manufacturer that due to my contract with them I am not at liberty to disclose this information to a consumer, as it is proprietary information between the manufacturer (Essense Designs) and the retailer (myself, Tour of Elegance). I had told Ms. [redacted] previously that I was unable to give her this information, as the manufacturer will not speak directly with a consumer. The second message from Ms. [redacted] on 2/7/18 was full of inflammatory accusations regarding the legitimacy of my business, none of which held any basis in actual fact. Her conclusion that I must not be a legitimate business was drawn from false information gathered from competing retailers. I am indeed a legitimate business, and this very dispute through the Revdex.com disproves her initial claims that if I’m not listed on the Revdex.com that I must be an illegitimate business – claims which Ms. [redacted] made both via aforementioned text message and on her numerous libelous internet reviews. While I have indeed closed my account with Essense Designs over different reasons, the perceived legitimacy of my business cannot and should not be based on the mere fact that a competing bridal retailer, who does not know me or any of the details of my business or my account, tells a consumer that I am not an authorized retailer. While I continue to be sympathetic to Ms. [redacted] unfortunate experience, the false and libelous reviews posted on numerous websites by Ms. [redacted] and her friends are harming my business by perpetuating this incorrect information. I am currently fulfilling my remaining orders for brides from the aforementioned manufacturer, and in no way shape or form am I promising anything to a bride which I cannot provide, such as orders from a company from whom I do not have the ability to reorder. The status of my business phone and website are completely irrelevant to the fact that I did everything in my power to provide Ms.  [redacted] with a gown and a service that was the best I could provide in the given situation. I have Ms. [redacted] items (cathedral length veil and lace applique) ready to send to her, and I am mailing the items to her via USPS priority mail with a signature confirmation.

When I was first notified of the issue with Ms. [redacted] gown order, I came to her right away with multiple possible solutions for her to choose from in order to satisfy her as a bride and to comply with my end of our purchase contract. One of those options, the option she chose, was for Ms. [redacted] to...

take my sample gown of the gown she special ordered. As my compensation to her for not having her special order gown, I forgave her remaining balance of $995.18, which was the remaining 50% payment on her original purchase.  Because I wanted Ms. [redacted] to feel even more alleviated for her stress and inconvenience, I agreed to her request for a veil, valued at $200, for free, as well as extra lace applique, valued at $100, for free. Both of these items are still in transit, as they had to be ordered from manufacturers and were not in-stock and ready to ship at the time, but will nevertheless be delivered to Ms. [redacted] in time for her wedding. Ms. [redacted] signed the amended contract reflecting the fact that she was receiving the gown and these additional items, as well as her 2nd payment of $995.18 completely waived, as compensation for this issue. She was happy when she left my store on 1/28/18 with a beautiful gown in her hands, and showed relief when she learned that this $995.18 was going to stay in her pocket and go towards alterations for her gown. Ms. [redacted] claims regarding the legitimacy of my business are all based on hearsay, and have no factual evidence to corroborate her claims. I did not hear any complaints from her until she chose to conduct her own investigation into my company’s proprietary information. She procured this inaccurate information by asking competing bridal retailers for information about my private contracts with manufacturers. This occurred after she signed off on her contract with me on 1/28/18, the end date of our transaction, and therefore this false information is irrelevant to our contract and my obligations to Ms. [redacted]. Despite my numerous efforts to provide Ms. [redacted] with additional compensation for her unfortunate experience, such as continuing to try and organize a new gown for her after the end of our transaction, she has nevertheless published this libelous information on multiple websites in an effort to harm my business. This situation, while unfortunate and stressful, does occur often in this industry. Although I wish I had been able to give Ms. [redacted] her original special order gown, I was at the mercy of a manufacturer error, and I provided Ms. [redacted] with a product and a service that was the best I could offer in this situation. I feel Ms. [redacted] has been more than sufficiently compensated by having her balance of $995.18 waived, as well as additional items provided to her, making an equivalent amount of $1,295.18 compensated to her prior to this complaint being lodged. I was and continue to be apologetic to her plight, and wish her only the best.
