I am a tenant here at this apartment complex and was recently involved in a car accident. I was provided a rental car until my car is out of the body shop and my apartment complex hired a towing company to tow my car for not having the parking sticker. I went to the front office to explain that I have paperwork to show that I am in a rental car temporarily and asked if she could call the towing company to explain my car should not have been towed to have them release it. (This is what the towing company instructed me to do)I offered show proof that my car is a rental and show the incident report and date from the accident. She was unwilling to assist and as a result this costed me $300 out of pocket. I am a single mother of 3 kids and this is a huge set back for me especially around Christmas. The apartment switched management and just recently hired a towing company to come on private property at all times of the day to tow cars. My car was towed at night. I pay my rent so I have a right to park under covered parking.

Also the towing company (All Star Towing, Mesquite, TX) tried to price gauge me and kept telling me they do not have my car when Mesquite police said it was reported as a tow with their company. I called to inquire about my car and she told me $475 on the phone. I went there and was charged $300.
