This is in response to [redacted] When the customers son called us almost a month ago and told us about the vehicle in question We asked for written proof from the dealer that made the claim the transmission was bad and that Chrysler would not fix and cover claim because the transmission was not the original transmission If we would have received the written proof from the Chrysler Dealer proving the customers issue We offered to repair the transmission with the customer paying for parts and we would cover the labor We have heard nothing since we asked for these items from the customer Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Vehicle was sold under good faith that there was no issues with itIt's a Dodge journey that had under 6,milesAfter a month of ownership the transmission went out, took vehicle to Lampe Dodge in Visalia, Ca where after inspection it was found out the original transmission was replaced with a transmissionChrysler corrportaion would not honor the warranty due to the fact the transmission was not original in vehicleThe above information was not disclosed by the Hyundai dealer nor car fax report showed any recalls or repairs prior to purchase The above dealership was contacted about issue, they did not want to honor replacement of new transmission

On this customers last visit the battery showed to have a dead cell and was no longer under the factory warranty, if the customers is seeking reimbursement and has documentation supporting that the battery was dead while under the factory warranty he needs to contact Hyundai Motor America at *** *** *** Thanks *** ***

I have brought my Hyundai to the dealership in Palm Springs for regular service in order to keep my warranty upIn Novof 2016, I brought my Hyundai to a different dealership just once because I could not make the trip to Palm SpringsThis dealership advised me at the time of my car battery which was in need of replacementWithin a month's time, I showed this report to the Hyundai Dealership in Palm Springs, but they assured me that my battery was fine and that I did not need a new oneAt this time, my battery was still under warrantyI then asked them to keep an eye on the battery when I brought my car in for servicingThey assured me that they would do this, but did notMy battery failed and "died" on me days after the warrantyI had brought my car in for an oil change just before the warranty on my battery expiredAlthough I had told them about the problem with my battery before and requested that they keep me apprised of its condition, they still said nothing of it

I am rejecting this response because: This business is wrong in their answer because they did not check my battery when I brought in my car for any kind of maintenance and oil change was almost every month. They had also
pushed me to buy new brakes from them when the ones I had were just fine and they didn't even offer me the old brakes or show them to me that they were in need of a change. They also pushed me to buy new tires from them after two and a half years. I am also sending you an attachment of the other Hyundai Dealership that had told me in Novthat I needed a new battery. This document I showed to the dealership in Palm Springs because that is where I bought my car from and have been going there all the time for any repairs or oil change and driving from Pasadena to do soBecause in the past this dealership has always provided good service to me until now. Thanks in Regards*** ** ***

This is in response to [redacted].   When the customers son called us almost a month ago and told us about the vehicle in question.  We asked for written proof from the dealer that made the claim the transmission was bad and that Chrysler would not fix and cover claim because the...

transmission was not the original transmission.    If we would have received the written proof from the Chrysler Dealer proving the customers issue.  We offered to repair the transmission with the customer paying for parts and we would cover the labor.  We have heard nothing since we asked for these items from the customer     Sincerely,  [redacted]

Mr. [redacted],Per our conversation please find enclosed a check for $4420.73 to reimburse you for the replacement of the transmission in your Dodge Journey.I have still not worked out exactly what happened and I have chased it back through the auction with no firm result. As such, we didn't want you out there waiting for reimbursement any longer. I am sorry that this happened but mostly sorry for the inconvenience to you and your wife. I wish you the best of luck going forward and thank you for your patience.Kind Regards,[redacted] [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Such offer was given to my son, and I decided to not accept offer due to the fact that I purchased a 2016 complete vehicle that should have had all original parts in it.  I should not have to pay for anything. If vehicle would have had the original transmission then Chrysler corporation would have honored the factory warranty.  Bottom line is liability for the whole repair lies with Hyundai of Palm Springs.  Dodge Lampe service Manager spoke to Hyundai and they still would not acknowledge the problem.  The original problem is between Hyundai and Enterprise car Rental. The end result is I purchased a 2016 Dodge Journey under 6,ooo miles that had a clean car fax and was supposed to come with a 5 year 100,000 mile factory warranty.
