We are in receipt of the complaint form that was submitted by [redacted] on the home that was purchased by [redacted] .We have contacted the home manufacturer in regards to the work that is left to do on the homeThe factory told me their service man wasn't allowed to work on the homeThere reply was "service was refused" It sounds like the ceramic shower needs to be regrouted which we stand ready, willing and able to do We have to come to an agreement on the moldings in the homeI may need to schedule to come look at the putty on the moldings personally The workmen have all told me it is necessary as the brad nails/trim nails that hold the vinyl coated wood molding up, break the vinyl cover, so they use putty to hide the holes If you could let me know when we can get the factory or our man in the home to redo the cracked grout in the shower we would like to get that done right away If the manufacturer determines the moldings warrant replacing they or we will do that but we need to work togetherThe Patriot is the most value packed home available from any of our builders with the total finished drywall to the soaker tub and full ceramic shower to the granite countertop, but they did go with a basic molding package I was just at the factory show where another builder had copied the Patriot floorplan and yes it had nicer moldings and a cleaner finish on them but it didn't have granite countertop, the pocket door, the barn door or the beautiful curb appeal exterior and it was $12,more I look forward to resolving this amicably and hope to hear a time soon when we can get back in there and finish up.Thank you so muchLisa N***Manager Palmer Homes

To Whom It May Concern:The complaint from *** *** was turned over to *** *** who built Rhonda's homeThey had assured me they were taking care of everything and I had understood they were replying to the complaint as wellAccording to the letter
we just received they did not reply to Revdex.com. They are however working with Ms*** to take care of the issues in her homeI know they have been in contact with the *** and were sending a contractor out to take care of the leftover items that were not previously taken care of. Thank you Lisa N***Palmer Manufactured HomesWaverly, NY

In response to
the complaint on the used home sold to Mr***: Prior to offering the home for sale, we had a NYS certified engineer inspect the home for structural integrity and Mr*** was given the letter from the engineer, as we do with homes that do not have a HUD labelWe did not try to hide anything from Mr***. We also worked directly with the local code official to make sure the home was approved to be installed at the new location due to the age of the home and he did approve the homeWe did put larger windows in to meet the present day egress code requirementsThe home being nearly years old is not as well insulated as today's manufactured homes and only had 2xsidewalls whereas today's home have 2xI know from personal experience having lived in manufactured homes the last years and starting with a used home, then a new and presently a home built in that the energy efficiency of manufactured homes has increased dramaticallyThe older homes are very affordable but it has to be expected that they will cost more to heat-kind of a trade off. I did not know about the furnace stack, that would be covered under the day warranty on the plumbing, heating and electrical which is the only items we do warranty on used homes. That we would reimburse Mr *** forIf he would send me a copy of his bill on the furnace stack we will gladly reimburse him on that item. Thank youLisa *** Palmer Manufactured HomesPres

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,  [redacted]  Palmers says that trailers of this year were not required to have sheathing or air infiltration barrier. this one did originally. there were remnants at the top of the siding. I had relatives that were once in the mobile home business , so I have seen the construction of a few older trailers . never saw any like this.   I got the response I expected from them, and  this may be legal for the purposes of code, but it sure isn't right    I don't believe we are going to reach a mutually acceptable  compromise , so I will spend no more time trying to resolve it and just be dissatisfied.

Consumer confirmed that the manufacturer has been out to fix some stuff. They have to come back as parts have to be ordered.

I would like to have a response from Palmer's manufactured homes. If they could help me with the cost of the repairs, I might be satisfied. So far they haven't made any offers to settle this and I don't really expect them to. So I guess at this time I would like it to be a complaint.

We are in receipt of the complaint form that was submitted by [redacted] on the home that was purchased by [redacted].We have contacted the home manufacturer in regards to the work that is left to do on the home. The factory told me their service man wasn't allowed to work on the home. There...

reply was "service was refused".  It sounds like the ceramic shower needs to be regrouted which we stand ready, willing and able to do.  We have to come to an agreement on the moldings in the home. I may need to schedule to come look at the putty on the moldings personally.  The workmen have all told me it is necessary as the brad nails/trim nails that hold the vinyl coated wood molding up, break the vinyl cover, so they use putty to hide the holes If you could let me know when we can get the factory or our man in the home to redo the cracked grout in the shower we would like to get that done right away.  If the manufacturer determines the moldings warrant replacing they or we will do that but we need to work together. The Patriot is the most value packed home available from any of our builders with  the total finished drywall to the soaker tub and full ceramic shower to the granite countertop, but they did go with a basic molding package.  I was just at the factory show where another builder had copied the Patriot floorplan and yes it had nicer moldings and a cleaner finish on them but it didn't have granite countertop, the pocket door, the barn door or the beautiful curb appeal exterior and it was $12,000 more.  I look forward to resolving this amicably and hope to hear a time soon when we can get back in there and finish up.Thank you so muchLisa N[redacted]Manager Palmer Homes
