Sketchy and pushy
My encounter with these salesmen started overly friendly and ended with me feeling anxious for several hours. Two men knocked at my door and quickly talked their way into doing a demo by saying the younger guy is just getting started and gets paid just to show the product. Before I knew it, one of the men ran to the car, came back with a big box, and was in my house unpacking a Kirby vacuum and many accessories. They were asking personal questions and moving very quickly to keep me overwhelmed enough to go along with what they wanted to do. Then suddenly the first man was leaving and left his associate behind to do the demo. As he kept unpacking more from the box I realized this was way more involved than I was led to believe. I asked to wrap this up as I needed to get back to work, and the salesman's attitude immediately changed, mumbling about me wasting his time. He did leave when asked, but was sitting in my driveway for at least 15 minutes waiting for the car to come back.

These salesmen take advantage of people's kindness to get into their home, and as others have said it felt almost as if they were casing the place. I was given the same story as others that they were opening a new store in my area, though they are now using other names as they handed me a business card for "CLC" but the phone number and address on the card is Palmetto Rhino Solutions. My encounter with this company was not pleasant, and I'm glad I got them to leave as it sounds like they were trying to waste an hour or more of my time under false pretenses.
The company has been responding to reviews saying they don't train their salesmen this way - it's obvious from the consistent reviews that these tactics are taught to your salespeople.

good presentation, bad unit.
exactly same thing happened to me, and ALL reviews are pretty much dead on correct and how it happened to me. They promise a new unit, wrong it was another presentation unit. I have 3 business days to cancel. I sent preferred credit and the sale person the notice of cancellation and even called the number on the business card and still no returns or instruction to move forward with cancelation. Next step, which is my last day to return unit today, is to go to their office directly, which I wonder if it's even legit and if there are any people on site working.

These people are out of their minds.
Around 5pm some 20ish year old guy knocked on my door, handed me a bottle of soap, and started talking way too fast about this “Device” that could clean my whole entire house from the floors to the gutters. When I started asking questions he immediately sprinted down the street, grabbed a box from a white 2004 suburban, and sprinted back. He then insisted on coming inside to plug in the “device”. I was like “can you at least tell me what the “device is” and he just kept frantically saying “no, it’s easier to show you. can I come inside to plug it in and give you paperwork.” After I denied him entry, he returned to the suburban and was driven away an older looking couple. I did some research and turns out they’re selling $2500 vacuums cleaners.

I was trying to be nice to the girl who stated she was a college student trying to receive credit for a class. Then the man came in with a Large Kirby box and plug up a device.

Rude marketers coming to the door and pounding until you open door. When told not interested they become even more rude and loud. Mocking you as they
Walk away. Strange and scary behaviour for a company that wants to do business. Especially when they try to barge into your home.

Our door to door sales company has been in business since 1914. We are aware that some people hate sales people coming to their door but our intention is not to bother anyone. However, that is how our business has functions for over 100 years. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you, but please be aware that the world survives on sales. Every company sells things and even though you go to Walmart, it is still sales. Again, we apologize if anyone in our office was rude, as that is NOT how we conduct business. Thank you

Haven't heard from them and all numbers I have including the one on the contract and email no longer in service I like them to get there product and refund money

WE have received her notice of cancellation and her salesperson has been notified. We will be contacting her when we are back in that area, usually within a few weeks, and will be there to pick up our machine and finalize her cancellation.

This girl named Niki walked into my garage while my husband and I were grilling dinner at 7:00p.m. She came out of nowhere and us lucky she didn't get a gun pulled on her! We told her we were interested but the next thing you know she followed me into the house. She had a guy with her and he started unloading boxes without any explanation. Then Niki disappeared! She left the guy there! I finally saw the name Kirby on the side of the box and told him we were not interested in buying this product. I had one 25 years ago and honestly was not satisfied with it. Next thing you know he was vacuuming all of my furniture and wanted to go in my bedroom, I said absolutely not! I finally told him to leave and he said if I don't get mire samples of dirt I will not get paid. I had to tell him twice to leave and my husband finally had to get very firm with him about leaving. I thought I was going to have to call the police to get these people out of my house! It was 8:30 by the time he left and he had to wait on the front porch for niki to pick him up. We didn't eat dinner until 9:00�️ . Don't even talk to these people.

These people make you feel unsafe in your own home. Leave you feeling like you are going to be robbed.
I am a single female by myself and EVERYTHING about the way these two women tried to sell me this vacuum left me feeling so scared that I had my family come and stay the night with me and set up ring cameras THAT NIGHT, called a security company the next day to set up my home security system. This is NOT OK the way this company literally entered my closed gate & WALKED INTO MY HOME uninvited. Asked me over and over if I was the only person living here and if anyone else was coming home. asked me about my work schedule and wanted to see every room in the house.. the scariest part was how quickly they fast talked and sidestepped their way into my house and before I even knew it... the other lady DROVE OFF in her car LEAVING this girl in my house... I remember feeling very trapped and unsafe, I was so glad my big dog was growling from my room. I kept telling the lady I had to be somewhere. FINALLY she called the other lady to come pick her up but after she left I couldnt shake the feeling they were casing my home to rob me. I looked at the card they gave me to try and call the number, the number doesnt seem real at all. I called the police and reported the incident. I will leave these reviews everywhere as making someone feel unsafe in their own home is horrible and no woman should be left feeling too scared to go to sleep at night. Do not ever come back to my house, or anyone else's for that matter... next time I wont call the police if you catch my drift.

I want these people to not do this to ANYONE else. No woman should have to feel too scared to go to sleep at night from someones sales tactics. Whether they are a real business or not the questions they asked me, the way the fast talked their way into my home uninvited left me with so much anxiety i felt the need to call the police. After looking up other reviews of the company i am one of HUNDREDS they have done this too... im not sure who ever thinks its ok to do this to a woman on her own but it's never going to be ok. I want them to be out of business.

I Can add to her our no call list but that will not stop other offices from coming to your door. Judging by the hundreds of other similar reviews just like mine... I dont think any of us have "over-stated" feeling unsafe. It's also very clear that you all TRAIN your employees TO be pushy and aggressive and to just walk into people's homes so I definitely don't believe you. If you guys come to my home again I'll definitely be calling the police for trespassing or I'll let my dog out.

I have already answered this ladies complaint. We apologized for any inconvenience but I assure you we do not attempt to make anyone feel unsafe. We sell vacuums for a living and we do it door to door as we have for over 100 years, and probably will for 100 more. I will speak to my salespersons but they are ultimately independent contractors.

To whom this may concern, 10-23-19
I had sales girl Nikki come to my house 10-05-19. I let her come in to show me the new Kirby vacuum. I had one over 25 years ago so I was interested in seeing how it changed. I went through the over 1 hour presentation, and then she had a guy whose name I don't know come in for the sale. I asked how much and it started at 1600.00, then a lot of talking form him, I asked about payment plans. I asked if I could try it for a day, then decide. Next I see my receipt, not the short one, but the purchase agreement, where I was charged the full amount to my AMX. Since this happened on Saturday, Immediately on Monday, I sent out the return form to Grand Prairie that was on the stub. So I called the number on the card they gave me so I could set a date for them to pick it up. It was the Garland office, and they said they don't have anyone in the area; I would have to drop it off. This is now after the 3 days. I called back and spoke to the gentleman that came to my house, he said as long as I mailed the stub, I could drop it off they were open until 5pm. I could not come to Garland by 5 pm. I work in Rockwall, and the accounting job I had requires me to be every day until 5. SO I called the Garland office back, very angry at this point, and spoke to the woman who answered the phone, she was rude and told me that I should have sent it certified, and it was past the three days. I told her the address that was on the stub was Grand Prairie that is where I sent it. I asked to speak to the manager, she had someone else get on the phone, and I explained the situation again. I got the same rude response, they did not receive the return stub and it was past the three days. I was so mad I asked who I was talking to and she said she was an associate, not a manger. I was totally mad by know and demanded to talk to a MANAGER, a lady came on the phone and said she was the wife of the own err, and that I could bring it back to the office the next day 10-22-19 to her husband between the hours of 9 am -11 am. I could not be there so I sent my 17 year old daughter to drop it off, and they gave her such a hard time, that I got on the phone. She did not leave it as the owner _- THREATENED MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HE WAS GOING TO CALL THE POLICE FOR ABANDONMENT... She was so scared she left and went to work. Later that evening she was so upset and had such bad anxiety she had me take her to urgent care. She had never had such a bad experience, and never had any problems with the law. So today is the next day, 10-23-19. I am writing this letter as I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. I need to have someone pick this up, or a SAFE place to drop it off. This has given Kirby a bad name.

No answer at phone on business card, other number disconnected, website shutdown - No way to contact them!
I purchased a Kirby Avalir 2 on 9/27 from a nice salesman named Jalen Slater from Palmetto Rhino Solutions. On the afternoon of Wednesday, 9/28, I used the vacuum for the first time and though it cleaned nicely, I decided that it was not the product for me due to the number of parts and heaviness of carrying it up and down stairs in my home. Starting on Wednesday, I tried the number listed on the business card 3-4 times but no one ever picked up and it did not go to voicemail - rang and rang and rang. On Thursday, I continued to call, calling both the number on the business card (no less than 15 times) and the number I found online, which I discovered was disconnected. The website listed on the internet was also not a working link any longer. By Friday morning, I was in full panic mode -- we knew that we only had 3 days to return the Kirby! We had paid over $3200 for this vacuum and did not have any interest in keeping it. When I called both numbers again on Friday morning (10 times), I still received no response. Around 8:45am, I called the credit card company to see if they had accurate contact information for the company. When I spoke with the agent, she gave me the same disconnected number that I had already tried. She then did an internet search to see if there was another number posted. When the page opened, her response was "oh my! They have terrible reviews!" She told me that she would put the payment in dispute and that they would begin an investigation. I asked her if I needed to do anything further and she said "no, do not call anymore. Do not do anything! If they show up to pick up the vacuum, make sure that you get a written statement with signature that they are picking up the vacuum." I followed all of her instructions - I got all of the paperwork and vacuum parts together and stored them in a safe location and waited. I had not heard anything (besides a few emails stating that they were still investigating) until this afternoon - 10/15/2019. My credit card company called back and said that Palmetto Rhino Solutions were not going to refund/pick up the vacuum because the contract I signed stated that the "Notice of Cancellation" had to be hand written on the cancellation form within 3 days (8/30/19 would have been my deadline). Unfortunately, because its 2019 I assumed that we would be able to do business over the phone or website. Another "knock" against my ability to cancel this purchase was that I followed the directions of my credit card company to literally do nothing.

I am so frustrated on so many levels. I am now stuck with a Kirby Avalir 2 that I neither want nor will use. I have no way to get any money back from a purchase that has been used once for 30 minutes. I am frustrated that a company like Kirby would put up with Independent Contractors who do bad business. Surely you have a vetting process for who is allowed to sell your vacuum? Someone with a website that doesn't go anywhere and disconnected company phones should not be representing your business. I urge you to review the reviews on a variety of websites and the Revdex.com about this company. I am so angry.

I want a full refund of $3242.09 - and return of the Vacuum that was used one time.

We are very sorry to have an unhappy customer, but it clearly states on our contract just above where you sign, to MAIL IN your notice of cancellation within the 3 business days, and nowhere does it say to call the office. Our phones are answered when calls come in so it is hard to believe someone called in 30 times and no one answered as those are also our recruiting lines. If we never answered the incoming calls we would have no one working here. That being said, if Ms. would have mailed in her notice of cancellation as it plainly states on the contract, we would have had no problem picking up the machine. However, after we have paid all the workers for there work, we would lose to much money, which is why we offer the 3 day cancellation policy. We simply can not refund money to her after we have paid our workers and I feel certain you can understand how that could cause any company to go out of business. Again, we do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused her, and will be willing to help her in any other way with any matters she needs help with. Thank you

Tried to push their way into my house without my consent. NOT OKAY! I would give them NO stars if I could but giving a star is required. The spokesperson at my door was friendly and out going but a fast talker. Before I knew it, when it was time to ask to demo their product, his helper slipped up from behind him and tried to push his large boxed product through my front door-without my consent. They didn't tell me what they were selling, other than "cleaning products" and told me they were starting up a store in the area. The guy with the box put his foot on the threshold of my door with the box pushing against the door. If I had not had the majority of my body behind the door with just a little crack open to see/hear them they would have been inside my house before I knew it...again, without my permission. NOT NOT NOT okay! When I told my husband who was in the other room, he was livid. It was good they were already gone by that point. And, they asked for their "free" gift back. Spic n Span. Not a good idea to offer the cheapest store bought product when you are selling "cleaning products." There is a difference between cleaning products and a cleaning device, like a vacuum. Seriously, a bad sales approach all around. Wouldn't trust these men or their company with a ten foot pole.

We do not teach our representatives to be pushy or disrespectful toward the customer's property, or space in anyway. As a sales company customer service is extremely important to us and we apologize for your experience. Even though we don't know who the spokesperson was we will address it to the company as a whole. These people were trespassing and did not want to leave the property
Two women showed up well after 8 p.m. banging on our front door. I informed them that they had to leave because we were dealing with a medical issue. A medical vehicle was in the driveway. We have no trespassing signs all over our front fence line at our entrance gate. I told them they needed to leave and they responded with "it's okay because we're here to tell you about our new company". when I informed them they were trespassing once more, they told me that they were in fact not trespassing because the gate was open. I asked them to leave again and they became crass. This is absolutely unacceptable. They were blatantly trespassing we had a medical vehicle in the driveway and they were trying to interfere in that emergency. The business card they left us has absolutely no information about the company other than an address. It's very uncomfortable, and very nerve-wracking that such a company has people that are willing to trespass just to try to get into a home.

I just want the public to be made aware of the practices of this company. It's frightening

I assure you that our salespersons are trained not to act in such a way which leads me to believe they do not work with us. That being said, if someone from our company did do as you say, then we sincerely apologize and assure you that is not how we do business. If we do find out who it was and they are from here, I promise they will be dealt with severely. I have found several complaints about this company that are very similar to mine on other business sites where someone from rhino has tried to barge into someone else's house. there are also reviews on the glass door where former employees state that they were told they had to behave this way. None of this is satisfactory

I sent a notice of cancellation 2 days before the deadline. They will not pick up the merchandise or issue a refund or answer the phone
I bought a Kirby vacuum, was told by the salesman that I could cancel the contract within 3 days and it would be null and void. I sent a signed and dated copy of the cancellation notice to them the next day. I included with that a note letting them know they can pick up the equipment any day after 1:30 pm. I called the finance company and let them know as well. No one has picked up the vacuum, I have called the business several times, no one ever answers. I want a refund of the deposit I gave them, and for someone to pick up the vacuum.

I want a refund of the deposit I made, I want them to come get the vacuum, and then I want no further contact with them.

This is the second time these kids pull up in a truck to announce they are putting a store in our area and want to give us their business card.

While I do apologize for any inconvenience, we are only one of hundreds of Kirby companies in Texas. That being said it is impossible for us to promise no one will ever knock her door again but we will do all we can to make sure our office doesn't. I would also like to say that while we appreciate she does not like our product, millions of other people do and our workers are only trying to earn a living for their families. So if Kirby does come to your door, just say no thank you and shut the door.

Two salesmen jumped out of a suburban and came to our door. They knocked, but since I was holding a sleeping baby and talking to guests we did not answer the door. These man proceeded to open my front door until I yelled at them to stop! This is ridiculous!! They then said 'this is how we advertise and don't have a website? and pushed a product in my hand. They wouldn't stop talking and when I finally got it out that I wasn't interested, they pulled the product out of my hand stating 'we have to take our gift back? and went to the neighbors. This is ridiculous. Men should not just be opening people's doors!

Other (requires explanation) To never see them at my door again. And to not have someone else scared that strange men are walking into her house.

The Kirby representative came into my home and sold me an A unit. I did purchase it. The three different women that spent over three hours in my home ended the sale by falsifying my credit application. They did NOT leave me with a copy of the credit application either. When the application was signed by me, it did not have the information the credit company obtained. I contacted this distributor within the three days, and I was not contacted, conveniently, until after the 72 hour "return the item" deadline. I then contacted Kirby as well, and I still did not recieve an answer until after my husband contacted the distributor. THEN they decided to send a letter stating that their employee admitted to "no wrongdoing" and I am at fault. I have proof of the dates I contacted everyone, and do not appreciate the situation I have been placed. I will be filing a complaint with Kirby as well. My mother was present during the finance application and can attest to the above statement.

for me to answer this complaint without being able to ask the so offenders. Our practice
is not now or has ever been to take back a promotion gift or enter a home without invitation,
but again I can't ask my people ifthis happened without knowing or having a description
of them.
I can tell you that if this did happen, we very deeply apologize and will immediately
dismiss anyone caught using those described methods. We strive to hold our workers and
our company to the highest standards and will never allow such actions.
