Our personal "Thanks" to Hennessy and the entire Palmetto State Solar staff. They delivered on every step of the process as promised - exceeding our expectations. Everyone was very knowledgable, professional and willing to take time to explain in detail answers to all our questions. I personally spent a good amount of time with each member of the Team that participated in the installation of our Solar system. Ms. Hennessy, the sales/marketing rep., was super helpful and knowledgable about the system. She set clear expectation about what we should, and should not, expect out of a solar system. She went into great detail on every step of the process; The purchase, the financing, installation, rebates, the expected energy efficiencies & system performance.
The scheduling and installation process was delivered on-time as promised. The Lead Project technician met with me for a extensive review of the system design, layout and installation process. The Install Team was very professional and they too took time to demonstrate the system operations, how to trouble shoot and explained how the system would operate and co-mingle with ***'s system.
We as Homeowners could not have had a better experience. Palmetto Solar was exceptionally professional. Each individual that we interacted with was very knowledgable of their products, each products performance capabilities and helped make us feel comfortable about the decision that we ultimately made.
Since the system was installed an operational, Palmetto State Solar has followed up to inquire of our level of satisfaction and asked if we had any questions or concerns. I would rate the entire Palmetto State Solar Team an A+ and would recommend them over all other solar installation contractors we had talked to. I spent a good many hours talking with several solar contractors before selecti Palmetto State Solar as our contractor. JOB WELL DONE!

Hi Mr. and Mrs.! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a glowing review! We are always delighted to get this kind of feedback and so happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. Please do let us know if there is anything we can do for you in the future.

As I shared on Facebook and Google just now, our entire experience with Palmetto was first rate. From the initial encounter, to planning, prep needed, working with *** energy, installation and rebate application, Mr. David E was so attentive. Thanks to all of you !

Excellent company that cares and is efficient and nice. We are so glad they installed our solar panels. We love the panels and this company.

Great communication during entire install process. The system was installed professionally and is functioning as expected. Highly recomendef

This company came out to my home and gave me an estimate for a solar system. I sign an agreement based on some plan designs but asked for extended right to cancel the order due to my tax returns not being completed and I had no way of moving forward with the financing of the system until those were completed. The company agreed and on day two of talking to my CPA, I was told my returns were going to take longer than I expected so I sent in the request to cancel the order with this company. The owner for months kept calling me asking if I was interested and I said my returns are not done and for now I would wait. He stated the program with Duke was going away and he didn't want me to lose the deal so he keep the offer open even though I sent the request in to cancel.

Final after months of being called I sent this guy Aaron the cancellation letter and he denied ever receiving it and asked me to pay a $950 bill on his behalf for work done by his people. Now I still being contacted like I had a contract and even by email he has stated that if I would remove my bad review from *** who would go away. I did not and yet he continues to harass me. This needs to stop.

The claims above are almost entirely false. The customer did indeed express intent to cancel, but not under the specific terms of the agreement. When offered more time to get his affairs in order, he gratefully accepted, and we have several months of correspondence showing that we were still very much working under our original agreement. During this time, my company incurred some expenses. When the customer eventually ceased all communications, we continued to try for several months to reach out, and gave plenty of notice that if he was choosing to cancel at this point, we would need to recover our expenses. Eventually, after he continued to ignore all attempts to reach him, we sent him an invoice. Please note that at any time from his original breach of contract, we would have been well within our legal rights to hold him liable for the full contract amount. But, this is not how we choose to treat people, or to conduct business. The $950 bill simply covered the cost that we had put in, and no more. Please also note, we do have customers cancel their contract from time to time for various reasons. We always to our best to make things work out with them, but we understand that sometimes life happens, and we need to let it go. However, we have never once had a bad review or a complaint with Revdex.com, until this customer. And for the first time in our company history, we have had to get legal council. I hope our online reviews across multiple review sites will attest to the fact that we are not the ones in the wrong in this situation. This is not be resolved in the manner in which the customer has demanded.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

The owner is lying about the cancellation time and the continuation of the order at the fact. My wife was present at the meeting when the order was discussed. Second, the information he has after the fact states my returns were still not done. Not one email said I was moving forward with the order. In fact the fiancé company told me I could not get financing becuase I did not have my returns done. This owner greed is why we are here not becuase he incurred cost. He wanted the deal to stay alive while I cancelled it within the time I was given and I have a witness to verify my entire claim.

None of the things we have claimed are lies, and we have a signed and dated contract and addendum, as well as numerous emails and text messages spanning several months. If there was ever any misunderstanding, the customer was given 8 months of communication and opportunity to get on the same page with us and find an agreeable resolution, before this action was ever taken. He refused. He was even given further opportunity to to resolve this in his favor after the invoice was sent, simply by removing his slanderous online review, and still he refused.

Below is a detailed log of the activities and correspondence around this agreement. Documents to support this log are uploaded. Customer's and name and contact details have been redacted per Revdex.com policy.

7/25/18 - Contract signed, with a legal 3 business day right-to-cancel. (Uploaded)

7/25/18 - Addendum signed extending right-to-cancel to 7/31/18 "SHOULD FUNDING NOT WORK OUT". (Uploaded)

7/26/18 - Customer sent required documents to process interconnection with the utility.

7/31/18 - Filed interconnection with *** on customer's behalf.

7/31/18 - Customer email request to cancel.

Reason customer wished to cancel is because the lending company we had applied with required proof of income, and customer needed to file taxes for the previous two years to provide this information. His extended right-to-cancel was never contingent on him filing taxes. It was solely contingent on us being able to get him financed through one of our lenders.

7/31/18 - Upon receiving his intent to cancel, we called customer and explained that we have other lenders with less stringent approval criterion, and we should try one of them to be able to move his project forward. Customer did not want to do this (which would already put him in breach of contract), and instead elected for more time to file his taxes and go with the original lender. This was agreeable and favorable to both us and the customer, and that is how we agreed to move forward.

You will see from the language in the following communication, that we will still discussing getting this project done through late November 2018

8/10/18 - Customer signed interconnection documents with ***.

8/23/18 - [Email, in response to our following up on his progress with his taxes] Customer - "We are almost finished... As soon as she [CPA] gets that info to me I will be in a better position to move forward..." (Document uploaded)

8/17/18 - 10/16/16 Text conversation indicating we are still moving forward with project. (See uploaded document.)

11/19/18 - [Email, in response to our following up] "Give me a call Wednesday..." (Document uploaded.)

11/27/18 - Interconnection application with *** voided by customer.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

[Interconnect was never signed by me for ***. This guy was pressuring me from the time the sales guy was at my home and would not stop. That is one reason I asked for the extended cancellation period. I did in fact look into financing but quickly found out from a phone call with my CPA that my returns would not be done in time. This type of sale presentation was high pressure from the beginning with the guy Trying to get me to buy even thoug I was sure on the cost or financing. My girlfriend at the time that is now my wife can attest to the entire deal because she was there. She also works for *** which is why the form he claims I signed I did not and the window to get the deal for his service my wife can attest that was incorrect. No person should ever feel pressure in their home to sign up for service without doing your due diligence. I didn’t call this company directly for a quote anyway. They were given to me by a referral site and insisted on coming out to give me some information. They knew they were not the only company I had to choose from if I was moving forward with this service. I also don’t why this cancellation was not go enough for this company to accept and go away. Alternative financing was his idea to try and keep me interested not mine. I said no then and I continue too. If he provide *** with a application on my behalf that is fraud. Another reason why this guy and his company cannot be trusted.

Regards

Thank you Pametto State Solar! What a great group of people to work with for our solar panels. From our call with Jessica to Aaron and James coming out to our home and explaining the process, through installation and beyond, every question we had was kindly answered. Customer service continued as we had a few more questions. The installation team was tidy and concerned about each step. We love the solar panels and the very minimal electric bill. Thanks team!
