Honest, Trustworthy, and managed expectations extremely well! We are grateful we chose this Company!

We have been trying to work with the company. Their product does not work as stated. They have been out several times to trying fix the issues but the product still does not preform as advertised. We are still missing equipment that we are paying for. The telling us they are going to fix our solar, reimburse of money for down time and for panels that are to working. They also stated that we would get the equipment that we paid for. This has been ongoing for months to no resolution. Please help. I believe they are ignoring us. They have also admitted that their equipment has major problems. Their phone message now even states an option for removing solar panels and then reroofing.

Palmetto currently has a ticket open for this customer and is reviewing the concerns to ensure we resolve it in a satisfactory way. The Removal option is related to removal and reinstall of solar panels, however, we will work with the customer to come to the best possible resolution.

EMAILED: This company has not reach out to us to the solve the issue. This has been going on for two years off and on. Please see my last email. We would like the panels removed and the roof repaired and the loan taken care of. Their product does not work and they have not given us the equipment we paid for. They have no follow through with any of their promises.

Palmetto has spoken to the homeowner resolved the issue of lost production and missing equipment.

Honest company and follows through on every detail. Our Palmetto consultation was very informative. Rep Tony explained ALL of the pros and cons of going solar with my wife and I, and we wouldn't have known a lot of that info (such as the difference between "25 Year Warranties" - they're not all the same!) without him because the first two solar companies we met with just tried to get us to buy in 15-20 minutes! Tony was very thorough with us in explaining the tax credits and batteries and was honest about what would be the best situation for us (skipped the batteries for now). and the office maintained contact with us throughout each stage of the process until our system was running! I don't like salespeople but Palmetto reps seems to care about what's the best situation for people and not just making money. Very happy!

I was supposed to receive information to enable me to register my system with the state of New Jersey Palmetto solar did not do this costing money
Palmetto did not register or send me the required information to register my solar system they installed. I have called them and only get voice mail. This has caused me money. I contacted the state of New Jersey and was informed that this information is provided by Palmetto Solar. This information includes the contract, drawings, specs, and other data.

Desired Outcome

I want a copy of my contract and all drawing and specifications. A copy of my entire file is what I want. I want my system registered to pay all SREC credits to myself. I have not received any payments because of the failure of Palmetto.

Residential Solar contract / delivery service and installation issues.
We signed contract with Palmetto Solar in December 2018 for end to end Solar energy installation for our house. Its been almost 10 months and till now the project has not been completed.After the solar panels were installed, we noticed water dripping from our roof during a rainy day on Aug 7, and we reported it to Palmetto Solar. The third party vendor responsible for the installation came in after two days and assured that the roof was fixed. Palmetto agreed to take care of the ceiling repair costs.

The final inspection was finally successful on Nov 22nd after numerous rejections and delays in rescheduling, starting from May 2019 for almost 6 months. On the same day, we had incessant rains, and again this time I noticed a new water patch on the ceiling. I reported the new leak to Palmetto, and since then haven't heard back regarding the leak inspection / repair.

As of today we have non operational Solar installation, and a leaking roof. We started paying the Solar financial company in August, though Palmetto has agreed to reimburse the payments per contract. We still haven't started getting the SRECs (that guarantees $96 every month) as our Solar is not operational. For all the delays, our agent, who highly recommended Palmetto to us, has managed to get us a $300 for the delays, but if you do the math for nearly 10 months of delay, and the stress that we have gone through, its hardly anything.

The process has been painful and extremely slow. I would recommend homeowners to find other solar companies that are more reliable, are more committed to clients and have a good reputation in NJ.

Desired Outcome

All I want Palmetto Solar now is to do the following fast. 1. Finish the job, by ensuring Solar is operational. 2. Ensure that we get SRECs. 3. Inspect and repair our roof and ceiling, and provide necessary compensation. Also, I would encourage Palmetto Solar to ensure they have the vendors and infrastructure in place before they could take up clients in NJ. They have been extremely slow in responding and taking necessary action. The whole process has required numerous follow-ups making it a very stressful experience.

Its been more than a week, and Palmetto Solar hasn't gotten back to me regarding the next steps to fix the roof and ceiling, and completing the project. Very frustrating. Please reopen the case. I am considering getting out of the project. This has been a very frustrating experience.

Thanks for following up. Palmetto has been in touch with me, and I have been assured that all issues would be resolved soon. However, I will close the complaint only after the project has completed successfully and all issues highlighted in my complaint have been addressed. Also, the "proposed solution" was proposed by me and accepted by Palmetto. It includes:
1. Have the roof ceiling damage assessed by third party inspector, and subsequently repairing the roof and ceiling.
2. Reimburse all expenses related to repairs. Palmetto has reimbursed me the solar financial payments due till Nov, as per contract, and may have to reimburse December and possibly future payments, till the solar is not operational.
3. Complete the project on time. It will be one whole year this December.
4. Complete paper work for receiving SRECS.
Additionally Palmetto offered me incentives which have not been discussed so far. After experiencing all the delays and issues, I am more concerned about the future quality of service, support, quality of the solar panels and installation.

Palmetto has not paid subcontractors.
On May 21 I signed a contract with Palmetto to have a Solar System installed. There subcontractor Dvinci salesman contacted us about the sale. Dvinci also had another subcontractor (a roofing company) to install a new roof on our house. The whole contract amount was $55,904. That would include the solar system and a new roof. The new roof was installed July 15 and the solar system was installed July 22. Final payment was made on August 19 (total sum $55,904). Today, September 4, the roofer contacted me and said he had not been paid by Dvinci and he was contacting an attorney to put a lien on our house. We have a signed contract that states the roofing project is to be paid by Dvinci Solar. Dvinci Solar has not received payment from Palmetto! Dvinci had also stated their contract would included Eco B system, but that has not be installed.

Desired Outcome

For Palmetto to pay their subcontractors and for us to receive our Eco B that was promised by Dvinci. We have paid for the completion of this job.

This company sold us solar panels. The panels are not working and they don't know why and aren't trying to find out why.
This company heavily pursued us to purchase solar panels. Ensured us that in a years time out electric bill would be cut in half. A year later, 15+ solar panels are only producing 17.5 watts of energy per day. I've called and left messages for *** several times. Still haven't gotten a reply. I went on the company's website and left a message stating that I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com and low and behold *** calls me right away. He stated that he was unsure why the panels aren't producing energy. Had me go outside of my home and check the system. System is working fine. *** then stated it may be a design issue. Well, the design and placement of the panels were specifically done to optimize the amount of sunlight the panels would receive. *** stated that it may take several weeks for someone to contact me to rectify this. I emphatically stated that is unacceptable seeing as though our electric bill remains the same on top of us paying the monthly fees for the panels. He was not very helpful. He also stated that the average watt production for the panels was missing from our account so he could not tell what the projected amount of energy the panels were supposed to producing. *** then suggested maybe there was an issue with the electric company. I told him that I had spoken with my electric company and that they said this was common practice for this company and they've had many complaints from customers whose panels were not producing what the company promised. My electric company stated that they make customers believe that they would eventually have enough energy stored to sell back to the electric company but it never happens because its simply not true. When we were in the process of deciding to get the panels, we received phone calls, emails and even visits to our home. After the panels are placed I can't get anyone on the phone without threatening a complaint. The loan through Mosaic also has daily interest, so we've been paying on our panels for over a year and our balanced owed hasn't decreased. I feel like we were taken advantage and told a bunch of lies to agree to get a product that isn't working and only costing us more money. The company has not tried to resolve this matter at all. I contacted Mosaic regarding the billing and balance of the balance and the customer service rep laughed and stated we should've had someone read our contract for us. He also stated that if we wanted to see our balance decrease we should pay a little extra every month. Mosaic wants us to pay extra money monthly for a product that does not work. This company is a fraud and uses predatory sales and lending practices to get customers. Once the customers commit and they get their money the customers are left with a product that doesn't produce and horrible customer service. When you contact them to voice issues and concerns they make excuses and try to make you feel like its your fault. I have reached out to the media and the Senator from my state to launch complaints regarding this ordeal.

Desired Outcome

We would like the panels removed from our home and no further charges incurred. We don't want anything from this awful experience to reflect on out credit reports. We also want the company to stop targeting military families and adopt better business practices. Using predatory sales tricks and awful lending practices should cease also. As people that have served and are still serving this country we deserve better and so does our community.

I have spoken to both *** and *** several times. *** is requesting copies of my electric bills for the last year to evaluate if our usage has changed. Apparently the system wasn't designed to handle usage changes per ***. I explained to her that I feel like the company is going to put the system not functioning properly on usage changes. I never received the email that *** was supposed to send so I could send her the copies of the bills. I've checked my spam mail just in case it went there. *** also spoke about the design of the panels and if trees were taken into account. Again, the panels were place for optimal production and the trees that are there were the same trees that were there when the panel were placed. Nothing has been done except for multiple phone calls asking questions.

Thank you for your response. It is imperative we receive the utility bills because if consumption of electricity has increased this would absolutely impact savings. The solar system is built on usage at the time of sale. If a customer increases consumption by adding members to the household, a new appliance, pool , ect. the company is unable to account for that after install. Utility bills have been sent. No additional people have been added to the home, in fact, our daughter left for college. No new appliances have been added to the home either. I have not hear anything from anyone at the company since the bills were sent. I will resend the bills today just in case they state that they haven't received them. Still very unsatisfied with the company and the way the situation is being handled. As I stated before, the company in going to try and place the blame of lack of production from panels on increases consumption. It doesn't matter what the consumption of energy is if the panels are only producing 17 watts of energy. I would like to keep this complaint open so tat the company does not get away with providing subpar products while over charging for them. STILL VERY UNHAPPY with the company and the solar panels.

The company installed damaged solar panels on the roof and damaged the existing roof and the basement door to my home.
The company has installed substandard solar panels on my roof and damaged the roof of the house and the basement door with no resolution to replace or repair the damaged area of the house I have been waiting for weeks to get a resolution to the problem. The company has not even made attempts to contact me for the repairs.

Desired Outcome

I want the damaged panels replaced with new panels and the door replaced with the roof shingles that are damaged replaced.

Palmetto solar has had more than enough time to get the situation resolved. They make contact with me and then make a promise to contact me in a few days and then disappear again. This has been a horrible experience from day one with palmetto solar. I don't know if I believe that they are even trying to resolve the issues at this point in time. No progress is being made on their part.

It's been 4 months and my system is not working. The last tech said they would have to send a repairman out because the system needs to be rewired.

I have contacted Palmetto Solar and still no tech has come out. Now I am getting bills, the promised me before we got the solar panels. I was told they would pay the bill until everything is fixed. Now *** is saying she will try to get a payment to me for February but we haven't received anything. This company has lied and broke their promise! I trusted them, but now I see it was a mistake. Now I have a loan to payback but the product I bought from Palmetto Solar is not working! They promised me that my system would be working by January it's February and it's still not working. I was also told up front that Palmetto Solar will pay the bill until the system is working now they don't want to do that. I keep getting empty promises.

Desired Outcome

I would like for my solar system to be completed. The system rewired corrected and working as promised and pay the loan until the system is working correctly like I was promised. Or Palmetto Solar can come and get the solar panels and pay off the loan.
