billing from physicians for the care provided at the hospitalThe patient stated they should not be responsible for any billings other than that of the hospitalI have been in contact with the patient and his wife several times over the past couple of months providing explanation of the billings they are receivingIn additional, Palomar Health contacted physicians on the patient’s behalf to arrange payment arrangements.When a patient is admitted to our facility, as with most other hospitals, they will receive billing for the hospital services, and also separate billing for each of the physicians who provided careThis often includes anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, and emergency room physiciansPatients are informed of the separate billing at the time of admission via the consent form, which is initialed and signed by the patient.If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at ***Sincerely, *** *** *** ***Director Patient Financial Services***
