Motel 6 Moscow, Idaho advertises a "sparkling" pool. However, when you arrive, you will see that it is anything but "sparkling". There are brown stains all over the bottom as well as dead flies all over the top. We complained about the pool as soon as we saw it. The front desk told us that the pool was clean. They said the marks were just "stains". I specifically chose this hotel for my visit to be able to bring my nephew swimming. It would have been against my better judgement to put a child in that pool.
Furthermore, as soon as we arrived, we requested that we did not wish to have any form of housekeeping services during our stay. The front desk agent ensured us that no one would enter our room. However, on the second day when we returned to our room we found someone had been there as there were fresh towels in the bathroom.
Lastly, the shower was practically unusable. The water was either extremely hot or cold. No happy medium.
Upon check out, we informed the front desk of the issues (again) and they said that there was nothing they would do. They blamed the fact that the housekeeping came into our room on having new employees. This is unacceptable.
This company is falsely advertising. They are charging $105.00 a night which is far too much for the service they are providing.
The guest didn’t complain until after they fully stayed here. The pool was clean, it’s an older outdoor pool that needs to be repainted. New ownership was made on 08.01.2019 after reservation was made. A refund won’t be made. The guest should have told us about the issue immediately upon arrival.
The pool itself was clean, it was just stained. I am sorry that the housekeepers came in your room, I will speak to my staff about making sure they relay the messages to the housekeepers better. I won't be refunding your stay.. I was told that you notified us at the end of your stay. I can offer a 10% refund and a 10% discount on a future stay. I won't be applying any other discounts. Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because:
According to Idaho state law the following is declared to be unlawful:
Engaging in any act or practice which is otherwise misleading, false, or deceptive to the consumer
Representing that goods or services are of a particular standard, quality, or grade, or that goods are of a particular style or model, if they are of another
Motel 6 in Moscow Idaho did not follow their state laws in regards to advertising. Attached you can see that since my stay they have changed their advert. It no longer says "sparkling unheated outdoor pool". This is further proof that they know they should not have advertised the pool as such. They were deceiving their customers by representing their product as as being of a higher quality than it really is. A 10% refund is not sufficient.
