We had a very negative experience with Panhandle GetawaysThe room we rented was not cleaned on time at check in time (4PM), and we were not informed about any delays in getting the room ready Despite being promised that I will be notified through a phone call if there are any changes on check in time when I called the day before our check in, I got no information from them, including any information about parking passes, which I asked about, too Panhandle Getaways has very rude and disrespectful customer representatives (at least the I have spoken/ emailed with) Their representatives did not handle our family's concerns professionally, and treated us like we were not important Contrary to what they claim on their mobile app, that they have customer representatives 24/via email or phone call ready to assist us, I received two very disrespectful and unprofessional comments from them, They ruined our family vacation mode, we were very frustrated and disappointed

I'll start by saying me and my family loved Destin, the Pelican Resort, and our condo but unfortunately our chevia Panhandle Getaways was a chaotic unorganized poorly accommodated messUpon arriving at our 4pm check in it was brought to our attention the previous renters failed to stop their activities and check outWe were aware that in our contract it states they reserve the right for a check in up until and just our luck we were the lucky recipients or suppose to beI'll save everyone of the hostile details but long story short we lost half an afternoon and evening that we paid $dollars for! Upon finally getting our belongings into our room and having to clean the kitchen and refrigerator one more time prior to going to buy my family of groceries for our stay it was bed time and trust me we were mentally exhaustedOur washing machine was full of wet towels and I had to wash the dishwasher that was full of disgusting dishes more times before unloading myselfAnyways that wasn't even the frustrating part, what confuses me is the fact that Panhandle never offered once to comp or even recognized we lost time from our stay that we paid for! I realize it was out of thier control but seriously we all know customer service and a company of this size could surely have attempted something to show us they were truly sorryOnce again we loved Destin and our first floor condo but disappointed in Panhandles Getaways attempt at nothing

The management company for this unit has been completely unacceptableDo not book this room because they make ZERO exceptions We have a baby and arrived a few hours early and they said we would have to pay another day to check inSo now we are driving around waiting until laterWe've ALWAYS stayed in calypso units and always been accommodated in these types of situations Not to mention we booked just a few days before our planned trip and they offered us travel insurance which was not even able to be used in the event it was needed because it had to be purchased days prior to arrival- so why offer it?? Just Another way for them to make easy moneyWe even considered canceling our trip the day after we booked because our son was ill but of course since we had paid in full we could not get anything back so we asked our optionsThey kept Telling me they would call back and no one ever didAfter timesThe manager Stacy of Panhandle getaways should have handled this situationWe stay on calypso 4-times a year and will never choose this unit again because of management and we haven't even gotten to the roomI sure hope we don't need anything during our stayI hope the owner is aware this is how her guests that pay to stay in her unit are treated!

Panhandle Getaways has gone above and beyond the service one usually receives from a management company There was a problem with the original condo at Sterling Breeze, the management there is flat out rude! They act as if you're an annoying imposition Too many things were wrong to go intoPanhandle went out of their way to help us find another place to stay We looked at several other properties and finally chose Sunrise Beach unit The management here is outstanding, quite a contrast to Sterling Breeze I will definitely use Panhandle again

We had made reservations through Panhandle Getaways for October -@ Shores of PanamaUpon arrival to the condo unit we had rented, we discovered the unit had been broken into and all the TV's had been stolenWe contacted Panhandle and they called maintenance and they called the policeAfter the officer came and took an initial report he said he would have to turn it over to investigators because it was a felonyMaintenance said we would have to move units because they would need to be in and outPanhandle told us they didn't have anymore units therePanhandle was not very helpful at allWe will not be traveling with this company again!!

BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH!, We booked a property through Panhandle Getaways, paid the deposit and received a confirmation e-mail only to receive an "updated confirmation" the next day. Didn't think much of it at first because there was no mention of any significant changes until I looked closer and realized that the property had been changed (downgraded). I have requested a full refund still awaiting an updated confirmation on that.

Room was filthy. Stairs and bedrooms carpets full of dog pee stains not clean. Smells like pee. Tiled floors dirty sticky. Bought mop to clean floors. Furniture stained had to cover with sheets brought from home. Utensils dirty.

Throw rugs was filled with pee stains.


Windows dirty with broken seals. Blinds, closet doors, light fixtures dirty. Lights out. Deadbolt lock not work.

Only resolution was to change rooms which was fully carpeted throughout. Being pet friendly not a smart resolution.

When requesting pet friendly accommodations you have to clean ...using steam clean with tile and not using carpet .

Over priced for this filthy unit.

Would not recommend this company.

I'll save everyone of the hostile details but long story short we lost half an afternoon and evening that we paid $199 dollars for! Upon finally getting our belongings into our room and having to clean the kitchen and refrigerator one more time prior to going to buy my family of 5 groceries for our stay it was bed time and trust me we were mentally exhausted. Our washing machine was full of wet towels and I had to wash the dishwasher that was full of disgusting dishes 3 more times before unloading myself. Anyways that wasn't even the frustrating part, what confuses me is the fact that Panhandle never offered once to comp or even recognized we lost time from our stay that we paid for!
