Good Afternoon *** ***,*** *** *** contacted Marran in July There was an existing wireless alarm system in his home and he was interested in having Marran perform a system inspection and switchoverOn 7/**/our alarm technician performed a complete inspection of the existing
alarm system, installed a pet motion detector, window transmitter and alarm sirenThe technician was there three hoursThe work and materials were part of a 5-year monitoring contract (copy available upon request) that *** *** entered into with Marran in which he agreed to pay $per monthThe alarm monitoring contract is not a service contract as stated by *** *** in his complaint and does not cover parts and labor on repairs.This was only a switchover on an older alarm systemOur technician recommended replacing/upgrading the system, but *** *** chose to make repairs to the existing systemMarran is not responsible for the condition or failure of the alarm components on *** ***’s system that we did not install. We never received a written cancellation for monitoring services, as per the monitoring contract he signedWe continued to monitor the alarm thru the end of the contract period. Marran honored our agreement with *** *** who did not pay his contract in fullWe have filed in Commercial Claims Court and are seeking damages under the contract
