Customer purchased said vehicle 10/24/on 1/18/complained there was no thermostat in the vehicleThe car was sold "as is" disclosures we signed at time of sale due to negotiation of reduced price we still offered a warranty to purchase for an additional costWe put in thermostat as per customers request no chargeUpon doing so it was noted damage to the undercarriage, muffler and 0-sensor wires were ripped and broken off as if the vehicle ran over some object and tore same also the muffler pipe welds were broken from so sort of impactPhotos were taken and reported to the customerEven a warranty would not cover driver operator errorHad there been no damage when she brought the vehicle we would have possibly given her some sort of reimbursementAfter all! It has been 1/months latter from time of sale and circumstances of what transpired and occurred during owners possession of the vehicle what is the responsibility of both parties? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I am disputing the fact that the car was sold to me with a vital missing engine partIt is my understanding that the thermostat controls the temperature of the engineThe fact that the car had no thermostat indicated to me there were problems that were being hidden by the fact that they sold the car without this vital engine partAs the temperatures reached the single digits I realized the car was not warming on the inside of the vehicle, which made for hazardous conditions for me as the driver, because of the fact now the windows were icing up as I was driving the carThe dates indicated are wrong the car was purchased on 10/29/The car was brought to them on 1/15/It took them days to call me when the vehicle was ready and the phone calls were initiated by meUpon finally picking up the vehicle I drove half way home and the engine hit extremely hotWhat is being described under the car is after the fact that I was complaining about the lack of heat in the carNow that has been brought to my attention, how would I as the consumer have had the ability to know what was going on underneath the vehicleI did bring the car for an oil change on 12/9/I was notified of the fact that the oil was very dirty and that the oil pans and transmission pans were very rustedI mentioned this because there is more going on with this car that they were aware ofThis was my second vehicle purchase from this dealer, I thought that they were reasonable sales peopleThe fact that they never called me back to try to come to some agreement to rectify this situation, is showing bad business practices in my opinionMessages were left with dealer on1/22/18; 1/23/18; & 1/24/Which at this time I felt I needed some help from this organizationThank you kindly Regards, [redacted]

Upon doing so it was noted damage to the undercarriage, muffler and 0-2 sensor wires were ripped and broken off as if the vehicle ran over some object and tore same also the muffler pipe welds were broken from so sort of impact. Photos were taken and reported to the customer. Even a warranty would not cover driver operator error. Had there been no damage when she brought the vehicle we would have possibly given her some sort of reimbursement. After all! I mentioned this because there is more going on with this car that they were aware of. This was my second vehicle purchase from this dealer, I thought that they were reasonable sales people. Messages were left with dealer on1/22/18; 1/23/18; & 1/24/18. Which at this time I felt I needed some help from this organization. Thank you kindly.
