Pantili Hyundai Reviews (4)

Dear Sir or Madam: Please consider the following regarding this complaintI have attached the repair orders from Pantili Hyundai for easy reference on this experiencePantili Hyundai did perform the Hyundai Campaign as per the instructions from the ManufacturerUpon receipt of said vehicle it
was discovered that the brakes making a noticeable grinding noise anytime the vehicle was in motionWhile performing the recall on the front coil springs (which had nothing to do with the brakes) the technician did visually inspect the brakes and found the left front inside brake pad worn into the metal backing of the brake pad and the rotor worn so thin it would have to be replaced as wellAn estimate was established and a phone call made to the customer which declined the repairTo no surprise, the brake pad fell out while the customer continued to drive the vehicle after picking it up from our dealership with the brakes in such bad shapeWhen the customer returned to the dealership he was informed we would investigate and determine what caused the certain brake pad to wear faster than the others (which were quite a bit less than half the thickness of a new pad themselves)The technician discovered that a slide pin was seized and caused that specific pad to wear at an escalated rate and eventually wore so thin and wore the rotor so thin that it fell through the gap between the brake caliper bracket and rotorIt is an unfortunate situation that we have ZERO fault inHowever; as a goodwill gesture to the customer we offered to install a new set of front brake pads and correct the seized slide pins at no cost but he would have to pay for the rotor and caliperThe customer stated to only install the new brake pads even though he had been informed what needed to be done as well as why, and tremendous safety issues associated with this decisionThe customer also mentioned he had been dealing with a leaking fuel tank for some time*** *** the service manager was able to get the fuel leak covered by Hyundai under a Goodwill repair at no cost to the customer even though it was out of warrantyThere were multiple conditions associated with this repair that were also discovered that needed to be repaired, they were also communicated to the customerThe customer declined every repair to the vehicle that wasn't able to be performed at no chargeIn summary, as a token of Goodwill and customer appreciation, Pantili Hyundai installed a set of brake pads on this vehicle to at least make it stop for nowThere are other major brake safety issues that have not been repaired including, but not limited to, rotors worn below WV State Inspection specificationsIn addition, Pantili Hyundai requested the manufacturer to replace the fuel tank, and that was done at no charge as wellThis customer should be extremely happy we were able to complete two Goodwill repairs on the car, as well as being educated on the list of critical safety items that needs to be addressed before this vehicle is driven.Sincerely,*** ** *** ***sident
