Papa Murphys Take n Bake Pizza Reviews (2)

On 5/31 (Memorial Day) I phoned Papa Murphy's Take & Bake Pizza located on S. Virginia St. I spoke w/ Ron to place my order, only to be told he had a huge order of 40 pizzas ahead of me, I could pick ours up around 11:30 (store opens at 11:00). My Granddaughter got to Papa Murphys at 11:20 and the door was locked, she could see someone in there but no one would open the door. I called and spoke w/ Ron for a 2nd time, he was INCREDIBLY RUDE AND ANNOYED w/ my call, he did let my Granddaughter in to pick up the purchases after I had to call him. When I placed the order I as told $15.00 for both, I didn't questions just put them on my debit card and made sure BOTH pizzas were made with garlic sauce verses tomatoes as one of the children is highly allergic to tomatoes. When she got to my house one of them was was smothered in Tomato sauce, the other was correct w/ garlic white sauce. This could have been soooooooooooooo serious if my Grandchild had taken a piece of the tomato coated one. In addition to the incredibly rude man named Ron, my credit card was charged $18.00, not the $15.00 I was quoted. If he'd quoted me $18.00 we would not have questioned it but he did not have carte blanche to charge over and above the quoted price. We have spent countless hours enjoying Papa Murpy's Pizza from this location over many, many years. I would like an apology for this whole incident, rudeness, wrong pizzas, doors locked, over charging that I was quoted, and thank goodness our little Grandchild didn't take a bite of the Tomato pasted pizza. This could have been so serious!!! I was very specific about NO TOMATO SAUCE, NONE!!!Product_Or_Service: PizzaDesired SettlementI would like an apology for the way we were treated, this was our holiday together w/ family. In addition to the traditional bar-b-q, the kids wanted Pizza, hence the call to Papa Murphy's. This was a nasty experience from the very first phone contact made to Papa Murphy's on this day.Business Response June 30, 2016[redacted]:I would like to apologize to you for my less than professional behavior on your visit to our store on Memorial day this past June.I had just taken a 40 pizza order from one of our business partners when you placed your order for 2 pizzas. I had estimated a completion time for the 40 pizzas and your 2 pizzas at 11:45. I do not remember what your order was or what exceptions were placed on it but if you asked for creamy garlic sauce and we put red sauce on your pizza that was our fault.I apologize again and would like to extend to you an offer of 2 free pizzas of your choice on your next visit. Please let your order taker know that there is someone highly allergic to tomatoes and we will make every effort to insure that there is no cross contamination with tomatoes. If you request, we will even change our glover prior to making your pizzas to insure that the employee has not handled any tomato products prior to making your pizza.Just let the cashier know that there is a note up that you should receive 2 free pizzas and they will take care of it.Thank you for your understanding.[redacted]8175 S. Virginia St. Reno, Nevada 89511 Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. To the best of my knowledge, it has been resolved amicably. Cordially, [redacted]

I went to Papa Murphy's and tried to use my gift card, with over $40.00 remaining on it, and the cashier told me that their gift card reader had been down for a month and was unable to honor the gift card until corporate came and fixed the problem, this also happened at another Papa Murphy's about a year and a half ago. Don't you think this is a bit ridiculous? Is it because they already have their money and don't want to honor their obligations?Product_Or_Service: N/AOrder_Number: N/AAccount_Number: N/ADesired SettlementRequire Papa Murphy's to honor their gift cards, or is it that they already have their money and think that they can get away with not honoring their obligations?Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]I August I had our CC provider ad [redacted] to our Credit Card Machine. The first go around it did not work so I had him come out again. He had problems so he uploaded a new program. In the process he erased my Gift Card Program. We do not take many Gift cards so we were not aware of it for a little bit after when we went to take a gift card. I contacted my CC provider to reinstall the program and he was unable to. On August 17 I contacted [redacted] for the phone number to contact to fix the problem. I got a number and proceeded to call and I was transferred to another number then another then another... at the end the cc provided I reached said that I was not even on the list of people they support. I called [redacted] and got no answer. He called back about a week later and I apologized for the mix up and told him he could come in and we would honor it even if it was not fixed. I told the kids to give him a free pizza and we would ring up the gift card on the gift card machine at the other store. I tried again later in the month to find a resolution to the problem and ran into the same issues. I just could not get to the right department in the gift card providers phone numbers to fix my problem. I think I was being sent on to the wrong Gift Card Company and that is why there was no record of either of my stores being part of a gift card program.I tried again to get my system fixed but ran into the same problems that I encountered the first time. Lots of phone calls and transfers but no resolution. Then on Aug 18th [redacted] ([redacted]) sent an E-Mail to [redacted] of [redacted] and she gave me the number of the department to call to get my system up and going. Sometime later that week I called her and was able to get the proper number and I was able to get our system up and running. I will call [redacted] today to let him know that we are up and going. I will also send him an additional car with $40.00 on it for him to use whenever or where ever he chooses. I did not neglect this situation I just had a very difficult time finding the right number/person to call to resolve this issue for me.
