We were pleased with our recent experience with Young's Paving. The personnel were friendly and professional, the work well done, and the price reasonable.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with [redacted]'s Paving. After coming to a reasonable agreement for our driveway and walkway project things did not go well at all.

The owner proved rather difficult to deal with, hard to reach and condescending. They set up a schedule that was convenient for them and inconsiderate of us. When they arrived, they did not provide the service they quoted. I was quoted to have the grade set with a laser level, for up to 12 inches of base material brought in, and three inches total asphalt to be applied. Instead they never used any sort of grade device, at best they put in 4" of base material and the finished project pre-asphalt application was not a consistent grade. Worse yet the finish grade in our walkway would have created a puddle at the base of our stairs which was the whole reason we were doing the walkway in the first place.

When I attempted to speak with the owner, Mr. William Y[redacted], via email and express my concerns and try to educate myself on what I was seeing and the process, I was met with sarcasm and contempt. I then asked that the project be delayed slightly so that the owner and I could meet face to face and we could walk through the project together and come up with a plan so that the project could have a successful outcome for both of us. Mr. Y[redacted] wanted nothing to do with it. Instead he broke his contract with us, returned the 50% deposit we put down, and told me to find another paving company. His reason for his decision was that we had called and emailed him too many times with too many questions and it was apparent that "I knew more about paving than he did".

In the end I was left with a poorly executed gravel driveway, that was once paved, at the end of the paving season. This was a disgusting way to treat a customer and this company should absolutely never see another shred of business from anyone.
