Patient *** *** was advised that our Papastavros locations were PAR with UHC Empire Plan so she continue with having her services performed at this location. RadNet billed the members Medicare as primary, Medicare processed and sent the claim directly on to the Empire Plan where they
processed the claim out of network. Although PAMI is par with UHC and Empire is administered under UHC it is considered a separate carve out product which would require an additional contract.In this instance the patient was misinformed and should not be held liable for any out of network costRadNet attempted to contact the patient on 12/13/to advise that they can disregard the bill pertaining to her 1/6/date of service. There was no answer, so a voicemail was left for the patient to return a call to the billing department.The patients account will be resolved to a zero balance per her request

We have adjusted off the charge of $for the Tomosynthesis that was performed on April 14, 2016. Your account balance is zero. I will send a statement to you for your records
I am sorry for any misinformation that was given to you during your Mammogram
appointmentThe information that was provided to us at the time of your service from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield was that they paid for the Breast Tomosynthesis studiesUpon further investigation we uncovered that Highmark BCBS is paying or not paying on an employer basis

Hello this information is incorrect I never called to set up the appointment my wife called and setup the appointment and gave the rep all the infirnationMy wife call because she works for Aetna and knew that if an authoration wasn't done this would be a problemI don't understand why they are lieing about thisMy wife makes sure she call because she sees this happen to a lot of peopleAlso they call and told us everything was approved before I wentThey never told me my workers comp deniedThey said everthing was approvedI have several test done at paps and they have contacted my Aetna in the past because they told my wife every time she calls they will use Aetna as a backup if workers comp deniesThey forget to do it and is now holding me responsible for their mistake I wouldnt never had this MRI done knowing it was not approvedThis is unfair
