Review: My family planned a vacation to New York City.Our vacation center suggested the Paper Factory Hotel, they stated it was in a prime location with exceptional service which made it the ideal place for a vacation. On their website they stated it was a 4 star hotel. So we booked a two night stay, for April ** to April ** 2015.When we arrived there the hotel was in a dark alley, which I didn't feel safe with my family .When we checked in and went to our room I couldn't believe the condition of the room. The floors were cement and dirty , they had metal chairs it had a foul smell in the room. The beds were low to the ground with no box springs , also the bedding had stains on them ,it felt like a college dorm room not a 4 star hotel and I have pictures to prove it. So we went down stairs to complain about the room to see if they could give us another room, the only room she had available was a honeymoon suite , she stated it could not accommodate 4 people so she was sorry there was nothing else she could do. So we called and made reservations at another hotel. So she checked us out of the hotel ,so we thought we would receive a refund since we did not stay there and they couldn't accommodate us . When we returned home we called to see about our refund they said they would not give us one .We paid Four Hundred ten dollars for somewhere we didn't stay .We have tried for a week trying to get a refund, talking to different people ,but nobody will help us. The lady that helped us at the front desk refuses to return our calls or come to the phone. It feels like we have been taken advantage of , because we have lost Four Hundred ten dollars.Desired Settlement: To receive our Four Hundred ten dollars back ,because we have the right to not stay at a hotel that was unsatisfactory to my family.
