On 01/15/two customers entered the restaurant and requested serviceTwo servers then approached me (***-Manager) to tell me that they did not want to provide service to the table because they never leave gratuity for the service that they receiveI spoke to the server that was next in rotation and asked her to go ahead and service them and that I would observe to ensure that they get good serviceThey didn’t raise any complaints about food, drinks, or service during their stayThe server then proceeded to give them their ticketsOnce they had their tickets, Ms[redacted] requested that she wanted to add strawberry flavor to her margaritaWe normally charge $cents extra for flavor, but since they already had their ticket, I decided to do it at no extra charge in hopes that they would be appreciative towards the server with their gratuityAfterwards they started to whisper amongst themselves and started to rush out the doorAt that point I looked at the table and saw that they did not leave gratuity for the serverAs they were walking out I approached them and asked if everything had gone well with their serviceThey both answered “YES!”At that moment I told them that I couldn’t understand why they didn’t leave gratuity if they received good serviceShe proceeded to tell me that it was because of an incident that happened last time that they where hereI told her that whenever there is a problem that she should let us know right away so that we may solve itAnd I told her that regardless of the issue from her last visit (that was an issue regarding two staff members, it did not affect any customers directly) it should not affect the server that provided great service for them this particular nightThen I proceeded to tell them that I was not going to make them leave a gratuity if they didn’t want to but that I could not guarantee that they would receive service in the futureI told them that my servers remember a lot of the customers that don’t leave gratuity and that they are not obligated to provide service if they do not want toAt that moment Ms [redacted] started jumping up and down and walking back and forth saying that if she were white I would not of approached her, that I was being racist, that that was why Trump was going to build a wall and kick us out of the country, amongst other thingsMr [redacted] then asked me, “How do you know what my personal situation is?, How do you know I can afford to leave a tip?”, to which I answered, “If I where in that position I would not be going out to restaurants where people work to provide service for others in exchange for gratuity, let alone spend money on margaritasI would rather stay home.”After that they started to threaten us and I asked them to leave because they were causing a sceneThey started to leave but then Ms [redacted] came back towards the door saying that she was going to run me over, that she was going to destroy our building, and that she had people that where going to take care of this for herSince then, I have spoken to her uncle, Mr[redacted] , who called us and requested to hear our side of the storyI told him everything and he stated that he understood and that he was going to speak with Ms[redacted] As far as the lights go, they were not turned off, we only turn off the music and t.v.s at closing time but we leave the lights on so that the staff can continue cleaning Unfortunately this subject is kinda like taboo, and I can only apologize if I made you guys feel uncomfortable by bringing this gratuity issue to your attention but unfortunately it is something the we have to address to all of the known customers that come to our establishment and expect to receive service from our servers with out leaving gratuityOn behalf of all the managers everywhere I ask that if your service is bad enough to the point you don’t want to leave a tip, please let us know so that the issue can be fixed upon that visit

On 01/15/2018 two customers entered the restaurant and requested service. Two servers then approached me ([redacted]-Manager) to tell me that they did not want to provide service to the table because they never leave gratuity for the service that they receive. rotation and asked her to go ahead and service them and that I would observe to ensure that they get good service. They didn’t raise any complaints about food, drinks, or service during their stay. The server then proceeded to give them their tickets. Once they had their tickets, Ms.[redacted] requested that she wanted to add strawberry flavor to her margarita. We normally charge $0.50 cents extra for flavor, but since they already had their ticket, I decided to do it at no extra charge in hopes that they would be appreciative towards the server with their gratuity. Afterwards they started to whisper amongst themselves and started to rush out the door. At that point I looked at the table and saw that they did not leave gratuity for the server. As they were walking out I approached them and asked if everything had gone well with their service. They both answered “YES!”. At that moment I told them that I couldn’t understand why they didn’t leave gratuity if they received good service. She proceeded to tell me that it was because of an incident that happened last time that they where here. Then I proceeded to tell them that I was not going to make them leave a gratuity if they didn’t want to but that I could not guarantee that they would receive service in the future. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Ms.[redacted] is not telling the full truth. I've been to that papitos 4 times and my and I've always had the same waiter and I've only not tipped there once and Ms.[redacted] has been there twice and she has only not tipped once and when I said they cut the lights off [redacted] said yeah cause we're closed furthermore if [redacted] is going to be a liar about the situation then I don't want her apology anymore I have a [redacted] page full of comments from the video taken that say [redacted] is rude to them as well so if she's going to lie then that's fine but I know what really happened and [redacted] does too.
Regards,
[redacted]
