Pappa's Pizza II

This is my FIRST time ever posting on line about a bad experience at a restaurant, but I felt after what I went through that I needed to make others aware. I will NEVER EVER go to Pappa’s Pizza located on 306 Hope Street on the corner of Colonial Road in Stamford, CT AGAIN. I have been going to Pappa’s for quite a while because I really liked their pizza, but as much as I like there pizza, no pizza is good enough to put up with the owner’s abuse.
I went to Pappa’s on Friday, September 16, 2016 around 8:00 pm. I called in two small pizzas for pickup and I was told they would be ready in 20 minutes. My boyfriend parked on the corner of Colonial Road while I went in to pick up our pizzas. The old lady who I normally see there was sitting in a chair near the register. She always has a scowl on her face and is never friendly. She usually barley acknowledges me when I go in for my order, but this time she wasn't behind the counter so I didn't have to deal with her. There was a gal probably in her mid to late 30’s with brown hair who I’ve never seen before behind the counter. I give the gal my name and she tells me my order will be ready in a few minutes. I ask her if it’s only going to be a few or will it be longer since I have someone parked out front waiting in the car for me. She tells me in a nasty tone that it will be a few minutes. I only asked because every time we go there I always end up waiting 10 to 15 minutes after they said the order would be ready.
The restaurant was empty as it always is no matter when I go. There was only one family sitting there having dinner. There was one guy (customer) sitting in a chair near the cash register where the older lady was. I start to chat with the guy and he tells me he has been waiting 20 mins for his pizza. I inquire if he came in and ordered it or if he called it in. He tells me he phone in his order and he’s been waiting a total of 40 minutes for one cheese pie. He says to me if his pie is not out in the next 5 minutes he’s walking out of the restaurant. Luckily for him his pizza comes out and he’s on his way. I realize after he leaves that I have been waiting at least 10 minutes and I ask the gal behind the counter if she can tell me how much longer it will be. What I got back from this woman was so unexpected and so over the top that again I almost feel like I dreamt it, but I know I didn’t. She says in a very nasty tone “Stop asking me every two minutes when your order will be ready. It will be ready when it’s ready you just have to wait. Can’t you see that we are busy?” I look around the restaurant and I see only the one family eating. I have worked in the restaurant business myself and NO ONE is running around they’re all just standing there doing nothing and no one but me is there to pick up on order. There phone isn’t even ringing with people calling orders in. I turn to her and say, “No, you don’t look busy and we order pizza from you all the time and you always tell us 20 minutes but it’s never ready when we come to pick it up and we always have to wait and additional 15 to 20 minutes after we arrive to receive our order. I’m sorry but that is no way to run a business.” She says, “I will not have you disrespect me get the BLANK (the F WORD) out of my restaurant. “ I have never been asked to leave a restaurant and I am in shock that she is kicking me out. I tell her to just give me my pizza and I will leave, but again she tells me to get the BLANK out of her restaurant and now she is waving her finger in my face. I tell her to go blank herself and turn to leave and as I do that she is screaming at the TOP OF HER LUNGS “get out of here you fat ugly cow.” She continues to scream this line over and over while I’m walking out. Talk about unprofessional.
OMG I have never been treated this badly ANYWHERE!!! You might have good pizza there, however you’re in Stamford, CT and guess what one of many, MANY pizzerias. My GOD HOPE STREET PIZZA is right next store and they are jammed packed and noted as having the best pizza in Stamford and I decide to come to you and you have the GALL to be nasty to me. You should be kissing my you know what for even giving you my business. I will never ever come back to this Pappa’s or go to the Original Pappa’s Pizza in downtown Stamford because I was told its owned by the same family. I only hope and pray that this business goes under because NO CUSTOMER deserves to be treated this way. I hope others will read this and not even give this restaurant a chance because why would anyone want to go somewhere where they don’t give a flying blank about you as a customer. For the gal behind the counter you need HELP. Obviously you’re in need of serious medication. Please go take an angry management seminar. You’re a very angry, sick individual who shouldn’t be running a business.
