Revdex.com: I have read business response and much of the response is untrueI did make a reservation through choice hotels and due to an unclear description of the room choices via the Internet I was given a balcony room and not a patio roomI viewed the room once on the property and explained I have an issue with small places and could not be in the room as it was a very small enclosed roomI contacted choice hotels who assisted me by locating and nearby hotel for a nightI was given a $voucher to accommodate the extra costThrough choice I was to return to the property for the remainder of my stayI have before and since with all hotels I reserve request early check in and late check outI always call first to confirm a room is available as I did on this stayI was told a room was availableDue to my explanation of the poor room description to choice hotels a change was made on the Internets description as there are types of Queen room choicesOn the Internet if you chose queen room you were just placed in either a queen with balcony or a patioThe rooms are very differnt in size and location at the hotelI was upset on that day as I had friends flying in from another state and had nowhere to stayI was offered an upgrade for more dollars a night which I did declineI was on the property the whole time and never left as choice hotels worked to clarify my reservationThe whole point to my complaint was that I made a complaint and was punished almost years later by the hotel canceling my reservation with a rude phone callI do have a witness who was with me on said day of my original complaintI did receive a letter from the hotel taking my name off the ban listI am appalled that for making a complaint against the hotel is was banned from the propertyI would have not had any issue if I could have canceled the reservation due to the poor room description and the no cancel policy the front had initially refused to waiveI have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted]

I am writing to you in response to the letter that I received regarding a complaint to Rodeway Inn in Oceanside CaMs*** has filed a complaint involving Customer Service Issues and I would like to provide you with details regarding this matter.First and foremost, we gladly accept feedback from
our customers to help enhance their future stays and we truly do our best to correct any inconveniences that the customer may have encountered during their stay.Ms*** stayed at our property in June and after her stay she filed a complaint with Choice HotelsShe was awarded with a $voucher to be used during a future stay.She made a reservation through Choice Hotels directly with this voucher for a stay on October The reservation that we received was for a room with a balconyUpon arrival at 1pm she requested an early check In and a room with a patio not a balcony.Our chepolicy states that the chetime for customers is 3pmWe advised that her room is not ready at the time but we would try to get the room ready for her as soon as possibleWe also did not have a room with a patio available at the time so we offered her the opportunity to upgrade to an Ocean view room for a Small fee but she declined-The customer then left and returned at 3pm where she then requested to cancel her reservation since a room with a patio was not availableOur cancellation policy states that a reservation must be cancelled prior to hours of arrival time or night's stay will be charged to the customerSince the customer was unhappy with h reservation we offered to cancel her reservation and waved her cancellation feeShe accepted and left the property.The following day the customer returned to the property with another reservation, also made through Choice Hotels, for a room with a patio in which we did have available for her and she was able to check In to the requested room-The customer filed another complaint at this time regarding the confusion around the room type that was booked for the previous day's reservationShe stated that the front office staff had made an error in her , reservation however the reservation was completed by Choice Hotels and not the front desk staff at the property- -A note was made in her account that she had unwarranted complaints and that the front office personnel tried to accommodate her requests but she had become very loud and rude towards the employees even when they tried to assist her.Since then, she had stayed at our property and her stay has been enjoyableTherefore we will be removing her name from the list and will be more than happy to welcome her back to our property.We are sending her the attached letter to apologize for the confusion and hope to see her soon.General Manager
