Is Paradise Auto Selling Cars on Prince?

I visited this business at the Prince location, saw a vehicle I was very much interested, a 2004 Jaguar, it's still there, been there for months.. So I call and talk with ** about this vehicle it's priced at $7,800, it has155+ thousand miles, I looked in KBB to get an idea of the price...it was overpriced according to what I saw. None the less, I talk to ** about making a deal on the vehicle, 1. Coming down on the price a bit. 2. In house financing for a bit till my military back pay comes in (already awarded just waiting on deposit to account) .
** sounds as if the car is more important for him to keep than sell. He went on to say how he drove it from Riverside, CA without any problems, plus the bells and whistles, and how really nice of a car it is, the interior, and again, that it was one of the best he'd driven. I acknowledged all this, and again asked if he would come down on the price? Again, while he said a little, he would not say how much, he went into the story of how it drove when he was in it.
I asked him, is it for sale? During the whole conversation all I could get out of him was how the car performed when he drove it, and how nice of a car it was. I again said hey you have a car that I am interested in, I'm asking your lowest price, and I can't seem to get that out of you. I'd like to buy the car, he then goes into asking about my credit, I told him it was not too good, but I could do $1500 down now, and more after the 1st of September, he told me he could not let the car go for that small down payment, and I would need at least $3000. All I could do is nod my head, as I finally asked if I paid cash how much of the price would he go... this time he said not much because it was such a nice car.. So I left this one alone, as even with a cash deal he was not budging. I eventually bought a 07 Jag from another used car dealer in the area, with a inhouse warranty and extended warranty... Sad though as ** truly made it sound like the car was gonna be his..... and not for sale..

Quaint dealership. Beautiful cars and trucks. Acquaintance started very friendly until I wanted to have the vehicle checked by independent mechanic. Dealer quoted their Revdex.com so I came here only to find no reviews and am so bold as to apply my name to this unfortunate and negative review.

Dealer's "sales manager" said the price they quoted was too low and I was questioning their "honor and honesty" and was "insulting" to them (from a used car dealer!) by wanting an independent inspection of vehicle. After 3 days and arranging my own financing, dealer told me to go elsewhere that they "didn't need my money", which was never mentioned previously as an issue.

After careful thought and consideration, I felt compelled to warn potential customers of certain ethical compromises that I experienced. I truly hope this is an anomaly and not modus operando of this dealership. If this review effects change in attitude, then their customers will benefit by my experience.
