Review: On Thursday, May **, 2013, I purchased a 2003 Volkswagen Passet from Paradise Auto Repairs from [redacted] which is the owner. During my visit, we tested the car out and noticed the engine light came on after 10 minutes of driving the car. I knew the car was still good enough to purchase so I told [redacted] to check out the car and determine why this occurred. He then told me he would look into the matter and that it could be a million reasons why it would occurred. And, that he would service the car, get it inspected, register it and detail it so I can pick it up before I leave out of town. The next day, I was to pick up the car and it was not ready and he claimed the car was being repaired. The Saturday before I left town, I went to get the car with a friend and he was not present to secure the deal. The car was not detailed cleaned which it what I first notice. Then, as soon as I moved off the block my friend told me to be careful because the brake lights were not working. The car was also dragging from the engine but I had to leave town for business so I decided to park it by my family until I returned. After having the car, I had driven it on three occasions and during the last occasion the engine light came on. So, I had it taken to a mechanic and he troubleshoot the vehicle to see the issue which then became ISSUES. First, the car engine did not have any engine oil, the gasket had to be repaired, wires were burnt out and a pump had to be replaced. And, the brake lights plus more that I have documented. I contacted [redacted] and he was not to be found and then one day finally returned my call. He asked me to send him the paperwork so he can reviewed the details and I did. Then, we had a little dispute because I could not believe people in this day in age could be so greedy and just disloyal. I paid him right on the spot and he sold me a car that he knew had all these issues so we had a dispute and ended with him repairing the car. He texted me that he needed to send the car to a location with a smoke machine. He told me that would be done on Wednesday, June **, 2013. Before the Wednesday, I called to confirm so I could have someone take the car to the location and he never picked up as of today. The mechanic asked me, how could he not pick up all of these issues if the car was supposed to have been inspected on his site. More so, I have a silver sticker stating that my car has passed its inspection which would have been false from the documents that were provided from the troubleshoot.Desired Settlement: Last week Friday, with documents provided, I paid close to 1,800 for repair and I would like it refunded. When you sell a vehicle to someone you assume full responsibility to make sure it is in good conditions. My car was going to be destroyed if I was to continue to drive it and had not requested a mechanic to check it out.
