Review: I ordered my wedding dress 11 months before my wedding. I was told it was going to be in the end of August. When the end of August rolled around I called and no one knew where my dress was. I kept calling into the middle of September and received non specific answers and deferred to different people. My dress came in 1 month before my wedding. When I called for my fitting, they told me they were completely booked and they couldn't fit me in. Finally at my first fitting I saw that my dress was too long despite the fact that I paid to have the dress cut at the manufacturer. The staff was extremely short with me and made it seem like I needed to hurry up because they had other appointments. Because of all their scheduling conflicts, I was not fit in to have my 2nd fitting until 6 days before my wedding. The top of the dress was done but the length still needed to be worked on. I went for my 3rd fitting 4 days before my wedding. It needed to be pressed but they would not let me wait for it to take it home. They made me make another appointment for the day before my wedding to pick it up. I was told the dress would be ready at 12. I got a call 12:15 that day to say the steamer is running late and my dress was not done. I was already in the car and on my way to pick up the dress. I waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes for my dress. On my wedding day, all 3 buttons sown for the bustle fell off half way through the wedding. After the wedding I received 3 phone calls from a [redacted] at Paradise Bridal. She called me about the review I gave her and the place online. She started yelling at me calling me a liar, threatening to sue me for slander, she told me I better take it down, etc. She took my private information from my file at the business and used it to gain access to yell and threaten me.

Sent from my iPadDesired Settlement: I want a check as a refund for the bustle I paid for that fell off. I also would like an apology from the business for how they handled matters and for letting an employee have access to my personal information for her own personal use.

In response to [redacted]'s claim, we'd like to state a few things. When a bridal gown is ordered, the delivery date is typically scheduled to arrive 6 weeks before the wedding date. In this case, the manufacturer was running a little behind schedule and it arrived 4 weeks before. That gave us plenty of time for fittings. Since many women fluctuate in size, we like to fit our brides as close to the wedding as possible, so her gown fits well. We have a set schedule for fittings to be done on certain days. When [redacted] missed her appointment, the [redacted] made a special arrangement for her to come in on a day we didn't have regular fittings scheduled. It is typical for a bride to pick up her gown the day before her wedding so it is freshly steamed and ready to go for her big day. Our staff was never rude and always professional towards [redacted]. When we read the review [redacted] posted online about us, the [redacted] called to speak with her to see if she could resolve the issues. [redacted] was doing her job in following up with an unsatisfied customer. [redacted] called to address the fact that there were false statements in [redacted]'s review she posted online. Of course she would have access to [redacted]'s information since [redacted] was our customer. [redacted] spoke with [redacted] only once in regards to her review and was always professional. Never did she call her a liar, yell at her, and most importantly, never threaten her!

As a courtesy, we are willing to refund [redacted] $30 for the bustle if she has a picture proving it broke.

On January [redacted], 2015 I went to Paradise Bridal & Tuxedos, Inc. in [redacted] with a bridal party to pick out bridesmaid dresses. The bride picked out $260 Bridesmaid "Lazaro" dresses, we all agreed with that price knowing that they are designer we got such a great deal on them. The place told us our dresses would be ready in May...we received our dresses the end of July and to our surprise NONE of our dresses fit, besides our dresses not fitting there was no way that those were Lazaro dresses, it was not the dress we initially tried on. The material was so cheap looking and the lining was all messed up, it looked like they ordered it from a website in China!!! We all went back in a panic only to get scolded by the sales person who said to me "it's not her fault I gained weight". How unprofessional!! I can understand if it was just my dress that didn't fit but it was 8 girls' dresses that didn't fit, making the issue their problem, not ours. The manager apologized and told me they would fix my dress by letting it out and that would fix the problem so I believed her. They called me to tell me my dress was ready so I went from Staten Island AGAIN to Patchogue only to find out my dress still wont even zip, they didn't even touch it! So again I was very patient with them and told them maybe if they made the back of the dress a corset it would work. So again for my 4th time there I went and they made the back a corset but it looked horrible!! They were a horror to deal with and I see we aren't the only people to complain about them they have horrible reviews and should not be in business! The end result is we all had to purchase new bridesmaid dresses a week before the wedding and our $260 went down the drain.

Don't EVER go to this place. Ordered our bridesmaid dresses ELEVEN MONTHS in advance and they didn't order it until 3 MONTHS after our try-ons. In doing so, our dresses were discontinued and now we have A WEEK to pick new dresses. I am COMPLETELY dissatisfied and frankly utterly [redacted] off. DON'T USE PARADISE BRIDAL.

Review: My friend ordered her bridesmaids dresses here in December 2013. The dresses didn't come in until the first week of August and her wedding was August **, 2014. There was a lot of miscommunication. When I made my first fitting appointment they called to cancel it because they said the dress wasn't in. They had called the bride the day before to tell her it was in. I got my appointment back and went in for the fitting, two weeks before the wedding. When I went to pick my dress up on August **, 2014, the dress was NOT ready and did not have the alterations done. First they told me they could not find the dress. Then they found it and it was never worked on! I was there for 45 minutes until [redacted] spoke to me and said she would take money off the dress and to come back in an hour. I came back and the dress did not fit it was too tight so they said give them ten minutes and they would fix it. I was therefor another two hours, and had an anxiety attack. I told them I was not paying the 85.00 for the alterations. They gave me an attitude and ignored me afterwards. They were very unprofessional and offered to take only 40.00 off the dress. In conclusion after spending almost an entire day there they only gave me 40.00 off. They were very rude and unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone to go there!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like this place to give me somewhat of a refund, shape up In their customer service skills and their attitude towards customers who are spending so much money there. They should, also get a very bad rating with the Revdex.com!!!!!

Response:

We always appreciate feedback from our customers which help us to run our business better.

We feel we already handled this issue in person when the customer was here. We apologized for her waiting so we offered her $40 off of her alteration charges for her inconvenience, which was almost half the charge. We feel that was fair for the situation. We were never once rude and handled this with professionalism.
