DEAR BETIER BUSINESS BUREAU OF HAWAII,We have been in the pawn business for years in Hawaii, helping many low-income families survive day-to-day costs by pawning their jewelry with usWe have never had any Revdex.com complaints in the past years, as of good recordWe have thoroughly read Mr***'s complaint and we would first say of his last statement of calling our good manager "a thief , THIS IS UNTRUE AND HE IS COMMITTING AN ILLEGAL ACT OF"DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER." which we will pursue in court unless he faces us, and takes care of his demands in person with usWe do not understand why he has not come into the shop and face us cordially, instead of hiding behind the Revdex.com and Yelp. This is in response to your letters dated Feb& 26th, We have just received your letters today, in the mail, so we are not aware if they were mailed timely to us through the post officeWe reacted as quickly as possible, being that this was just in our hands today. We have proof with voicemail and testimony of workers in the shop that [redacted] is not telling the whole truth about his encounter which started on Feb.5th In any case, we tried to work out the complaint with him, by being accommodating for him, answering questions and sending him offers which only escalated to him being vindictive because he didn't get his wife's pawned items for freeWhich we believe is his intention. The customer who we were (only) in touch with from the beginning was his wife [redacted] ***We have enclosed her original pawn form with this letter ...As you will see, her original loan was extended times and then an additional times (in which case we over extended her loan at their request) We are normally only allowed to to extend a loan times.WE HELD THEIR PAWNED ITEMS SINCE JULY 7TH, 2015, AND WE ARE STILL HOLDING THEM, IF THEY WOULD PAY THE FAIROFFER WE HAD GIVEN THEMMr [redacted] called our shop at 3:53pm (SAn Feb.6th, only saying that he wanted to extend his pawn ticket (again); I am rejecting this response.Thank you for your reply. I am still not able to log in. I read all of the attachments that were sent.First of all, I'd like to say that my husband was not rude to her. She started yelling on the phone first and wouldn't let him to even talk. When he tried to talk she hung up the phone. Just because she has been in business for 20 years does not give her a right to treat us like this. Her sign in front of the store was posted and the hours listed on there were until 4 pm Monday thru Saturday. We arrived before 4 pm and she was already closed. Even on her voicemail, those were the hours listed, but she already changed her voicemail to different hours. On Sunday, she advertises as "by appointment only", however, she did not answer the phone on Sunday or return my calls until Monday which was the forfeiture date. She is also contradicting herself when she says that my husband wants to get back the pawned jewelry for free, yet then quotes that my husband and myself requested to pay the correct amount of $420. We/I am not trying to get my jewelry back for free, I am only trying to pay for the amount agreed on. She told me that I could extend the loan and that is why I kept paying the interest to her monthly. If she would have told me it would be a forfeit then I wouldn't have paid those amounts every month. Since she let me extend my loan I only want to pay off my loan and get back my jewelry. My friend was also there with me when I tried to pick up my jewelry. She was witness that the owner was very rude to me and that is why I yelled back to her and then left. The owner of this pawn shop has been very rude to me and my husband, and I feel she is bullying us into paying a higher amount when it's her fault. She is in the wrong by closing her store early and not returning our phone calls until Monday. She has been leaving voicemails on my husbands phone telling him to take down his review on Yelp and also remove the post on Revdex.com. I extended the loan but I paid the interest on time, every time. The agreed amount to get back my jewelry is $420 and she should not have the right to change that amount.Thank you very much.Respectfully,[redacted]
