Let me give you some background on this reservation Allison called on July 7, to make a reservation to hike into the lodge on August 2, Our policy is full payment at the time of reservation She paid with a credit card the full amount of $ I emailed her a receipt, maps on how to get to the trailhead and a confirmation which clearly states our cancellation policy PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made or more days prior to your date of stay will result in a Fifty Dollar ($50.00) per person handling chargeCancellations made after days prior to your date of stay will result in the forfeiture of all Reservation Fees.On July 28, Allison called to cancel because she said, “it was too hot to hike” I informed her at that time that it was too late to get a refund but I would go ahead this one time and give her a rain check to be used this season only I sent her an email stating this and she emailed me back and was very grateful to get a raincheck We do not give rainchecks within our cancellation period unless the reason is an act of God I told her to let me know when she wanted to rebook On August 18, she sent me an email and indicated that she would like to come on September I emailed her back and said we had space on September and that it was a very nice time to hike into the lodge She confirmed the date with an email response At that time, she stated she would be hiking in with a dog.Fast forward to September I received a couple of calls from Allison reconfirming the date and asking for maps again I sent her the maps the second time with clear directions on how to get to the Marial trailhead At no time did she mention she would be using a GPS I do remember telling her that it took about or hours of driving from the Grants Pass area to get to the trailhead I do not remember her asking if the roads were open If she had asked, I would have referred her to the BLM office All roads were open using the directions I gave her I have never had anyone state that they would be using a GPS
