The complainant was told that we do not know why or when the ladder had been placed in the wrong display slotHe was told that we did not know if another customer had put it in the wrong slot, or if an employee had put it in the wrong slot, or it the complainant also said that we don't know if a customer had moved the $price tag, an employee had moved the $tag, or the complainant moved the $tagAt this point, the customer accused us of calling him a thief. The customer was NEVER called a thief.
In the end, the complainant was asked to leave the store and not to ever come back on to the property again, with him purposely attempting to make an unreasonable ultimatum, in our opinion, even after being sow that the rice price was clearly marked on the ladder and in plain view of the customerWe would have likely worked with the customer on a cheaper price for the 10' ladder, but when he started to throw around threats and slander in an uncivil manner, that ended working out a discounted price with him
In our opinion, the complainant's actions were unacceptable as he gave us an ultimatum to follow, basically saying: "do what I say, or else"We can not just give away $to someone who feel was disrespecting the owners and employees of this hardware store by slandering them in front of other customers, or an item being misplaced in the wrong location with the correct price sticker attached, whether it be the store's fault or notItems in the wrong location do occasionally occur in retail environmentWe will have to leave that for the courts to decide, if it goes to litigation

First, When the hardware store stated that the 10' ladder was in the wrong rack. They didn't mention there was a 20' extension latter in a slot for 89.99. Also they addmitted the ladder was in a slot listed for 89.99. I had been in the market for a tall ladder for months. So for several months I had been checking the prices. Those prices for 89.95 were there for several months. The store did have a price labble on the ladder but if I remember I didn't see it till I got to the front and laid the ladder down (horizontal), Now if standing like they had the ladders on display. The price tag is the size of a postage stamp on an aluminum ladder that was not eye level 6 1/2 - 7 The price tag is a light yellow. The 89/99 labble on the rails was also yellow but brighter. This labble was approximately 1"x 3 1/2 " r
My neighbor was in the store for a few days ago, and said the price tag is visible now. As for as me being loud? I don't have to be loud. I know the law and anyone in retail should also. As the guy was telling me to get my as out of his store, I just replyed no problem. I would just turn the matter over to the B.B.B.

Review: I am sending you this complaint against Paradise Pines True Value Hardware store. Located at 14086 Skyway, Magalia CA. 95954 Phone No. ###-###-####

My problem was on Sat 8-9-2014 at around 11:00am. I went to buy a ladder. These ladder were put in rows, with a hand rail deviding the sizes of ladders. On the rail handle they had large numbers on the tags between the ladder. These tags look like price tags on the tag was 89.98. I go up to pay for it and the price is $189.00. I told the guy that was working there, that's not the way the price is marked. He instantly accused me of changing the price of the tag. Now these ladders have been stacked and labeled that way for months. The people there couldn't tell me what those other numbers were but they can call me a thief, and telling me to never come back because I caught them at an illeagle business actions.Desired Settlement: What do I want. 1) I want the ladder for 89.98. as listed. I want the guys job. Now if they get rid of the person I won't file charges against the store for defamation of character for calling me a thief in the store. Bottom line I want the ladder and the guys job or I will go all the way to court. They have alot of parts, No price.
