Paradise Tanning

Review: Last summer I purchased a three month tanning package with Paradise Tanning in [redacted] PA. After the three months were completed I called the tanning salon requesting my package to be cancelled. The employee over the phone said that it was not a problem she asked for my name and number and said the package was cancelled. On April 11th I just was going over purchases I had made, that is when I noticed a Paradise Tanning charge on my card. I was very upset considering I cancelled my package, or so I thought, back in September. I called the salon and explained to her my situation. The employee told me that the owner was currently in a spray tan and would call me back immediately. A couple of hours later I still had not received a phone call, so I called back, the employee said the owner was still in a spray tan appointment but assured me she would call back. The owner however never called me back. I waited over a week and finally decided to call back. As soon as the owner got on the line I asked if she had received my message last week since she was supposed to call back, instead of apologizing so said "Well it's prom season I'm very busy". I decided to explain to her the situation, however she kept interrupting me with reasons as to why I am to blame for this. She said I must have called the wrong number and that I am at fault. She was extremely rude and did not take responsibility for the mistake her employee made. I said to her that if the contract says you must come in to cancel, then the employee should have confirmed that with me. After three months you do not remember every single detail in a contract. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and over $400 the business charged me she began to laugh at me. When I asked her questions like "I'm sorry what is your name?", she responded with "NONE YA BUSINESS". I have worked in customer service since I was 17. I have never experienced an owner behave in this manner to any customer whether they were at fault or not. This was a major error on her employees part and she took no responsibility for this. I am even more appalled at the way I was treated. I cannot believe a grown adult and owner of a company could act so adolescent. To push my case aside because of her busy spray tan season, laugh at me, and say NONE YA BUSINESS multiple times to me. The majority of me wanted to just go in cancel my package and be done with this, but her actions are unforgiveable and someone needs to be aware of how she is treating customers. I also filed a complaint on Paradise Tannings website and have not yet heard back.Desired Settlement: I experienced roughly $423.00 loss due to her employee. I paid for a service that was not being used. As far as I am concerned Paradise Tanning in [redacted] has an excess of $423.00, I did not use their beds or services since July (The employee who I initially called checked my records". I feel that since the services were not used, the salon itself did not have to pay for anything I used, therefore a refund should not be an issue.

Attached is a copy of my phone records, I thought I called in September but it turns out it was October. I was able to take a screen shot of the number on my Verizon phone records and a screen shot of Paradise Tanning in [redacted] phone number on their website. I also attached all of the charged made on my account since 10/31 when I called to cancel. When I called on 10/31 it was the employees responsibility to tell me I had to come in and cancel instead of telling me it was okay to do it over the phone and that my package was cancelled. The owner accused me of calling the wrong number in which I clearly did not.
