Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this response because: I do expect maintenance on an older vehicle as far as replacing bearings, pulleys, or belts however I have went to 2 different mechanics and have been told that the motor is shot and needs to be replaced and I would not be able to drive the vehicle. It is  going to cost me almost the same amount as what I purchased the vehicle for to replace the motor. I do not expect the car to be as new but to have it run! I handed over a $7000 check for a vehicle I can not drive and the dealership did not care nor wanted to help me in any way. It happened less than 2 weeks after purchasing vehicle and I have drove it a handful of times. The dealer was driving the car for his personal use up until I purchased it and he is not on the car fax and I do not know what happened to the vehicle during those 9 months he used it. I have also researched Paramount Motors NW and they have a history of selling cars that break down within the first couple of weeks of someone purchasing them. He keeps mentioning that he is losing $1500  on the deal because it is below kelly blue book but I have lost $7000 buying a lemon.

[redacted] purchased a 12 year old, 140k mile BMW X5 from us on August 27.  The vehicle was in our possession for approximately 9 months, during which it was driven about 1500 miles, including 2 trips from Seattle to Portland and back.  The Carfax for the BMW is attached, showing extensive...

and regular service history throughout its life.  I have also attached the service records for the inspection conducted on the vehicle and subsequent repairs that Paramount Motors made to ensure that it was mechanically sound.  [redacted] was given every opportunity to inspect the vehicle and review any documentation we had.  All known issue with the vehicle were disclosed by Paramount Motors.  The engine was making no unusual noises and no warning lights were present on the instrument cluster.  It is our intention, especially with older, high mileage vehicles, to ensure they are mechanically sound and roadworthy, but not to return them to as-new mechanical condition. A reasonable buyer should expect wear to belts, pulleys, suspension components, etc on a vehicle with 140k miles.  The sale price of the vehicle was $6070 plus tax and license, which is $1573 below the Kelley Blue Book retail value, as shown on the attachment.  We believe we made every effort to provide a transparent and honest transaction for [redacted] and cannot be held responsible for the future reliability of the vehicle.
