The worst scam I've ever encountered. This company should have its licence revoked and its, owner thrown into the street

Review: November,*, 2014.

May **, 2014; I took out a contract with this company for them to fix my computer when it needed. Every time I called them for work on my computer, they were Never able to fix my computer. In October 2014, I called and talk to [redacted], a rep. about getting my refund of $260.00, and he said that within 48 hours, they would give me my refund since they couldn't fix my computer, never got it. On November *, 2014, I called back and talked to [redacted] and told him about not getting my refund as their company NEVER DID FIX MY COMPUTER, AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD. [redacted], told me that [redacted] worked on my refund, but never sent in to the right people. He told me that within 48 hours I would have my refund, which would be credited to my credit card, as that was the way I paid for their work as it was supposed to be done by a professionally trained person. November * I called again and was put on hold for over 30 minutes and never got to talk to anyone

Today it is over 48 hours and still no credit on my credit card.Desired Settlement: Just want my refund that was promised by two different people at the company

Review: I went online looking for HP's (Hewlett Packart) Website When it came up I clicked on it and tried to call whom I at the time thought was and HP representatve. Instead I had clicked on Paramount wireless Phising site and spoke to a Mack F[redacted] (at least thats the name I was given). He told me that my network wasnt protected and coned me into purchasing this so called security for 249.99. He than switched my call to who he says was an authorized microfsoft technician who never was able to resolve my initial problem with the printer by the way. I grew suspicious because some things just didn't add up. for one they didnt record my call which is usually done in such cases. So I checked online and my suspicions were confirmed it seems that this is Paramounts MO. They Phish you in and con you into purshasing protection that you dont need. previously made complaint ID # [redacted] I didnt mention that I had spoken to Paramount Wireless 3-4 times over the next two days after I was misled into ordering their product. They kept telling me that they would refund my money they never did. The original order was placed 10/*/15 I had the charges reversed on my credit card on 10/*/15. They had the charges readded to my credit card on 12/*/15. I contacted the credit card company and was told that it wasn't fraud because I gave them my credit card number, I further explained that Paramount wireless had misrepresented theselves as HP and was told that there was nothing that could be done from their end. I contacted Paramount again on 12/* and 12/** and both times was told that someone would return my call the same day. I never heard back from them.Desired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution: RefundselectDesired Outcome: Desired Settlement: I Would like to have my money refunded because if I have to take them to small claims (which I will if necessary) I have to be inconvienienced.

Review: After giving my credit card information I was immediately charged 404$'s for a 4 year subscription for technical service and mcafee antivirus for 4 years none of which I asked for. I then asked did you all ready charge my card because I do not want this offer and the sales rep said yes I did and I said that's not what I wanted I called you for tech support not software products and my printer was not working and you said you could fix it. he said it was too late and that I could be without the software and the money if I didn't allow him to complete the download process using his widget program. I called back the next morning when the business office for this company was open they dropped my call once they even refused to help me get a refund and remove their software it was a nightmare so I called my bank and had a 3 way call initiated by my bank I gained some ground and got the company to promise a refund in full on recording with my banks claims department. But I have yet to receive my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the full amount of $ 404.00

Review: In early April of 2015, I was persuaded my Paramount Wireless to pay $500.00 for a service contract for two years for my Dell laptop computer. I had just bought a new HP copier, and was put though to Paramount Wireless Inc, by their operator.

This laptop is no longer operational due to old age and I wished to terminate the contract and get a refund, since I now have an Apple laptop and do not need a service contract. I have telephoned their number ###-###-#### and ###-###-#### repeatedly and either the phone keeps ringing and ringing, or today I was told the mail box is full. I have e-mailed them at "[redacted]", three times and get an automated e-mail reply each time.

Incidentally on their correspondence they claim to be a Revdex.com ACCREDITED BUSINESS.

As I was going through the Revdex.com website I discovered that the technical support is not mentioned for their business.

They have my credit card number.IDesired Settlement: To be able to talk to them and get a refund at least for April 2016 to April 2017, and to be sure they will not use my credit card for "[redacted]".

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Paramount Wireless, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

After several e-mails, each one questioning their purported service, I received a call back. I asked for my refund for 2016, the second year of the contract. The operator (very poor English) told me he would have to speak to someone about this and would get back to me, that was at least three weeks ago. I have had no call back. I sent another e-mail yesterday, I will let you know whether there is any response.Thank you for following up.[redacted]

Review: On October **, 2015 I had a problem with my printer, it would not print wireless. ABI was the tech I spoke with I explained my problem and he said the charge would be 89.99 dollars and I gave him my credit card number. I received a email receipt from Tech Support for $89.99.He looked into the matter and discovered he was unable to fix it, so he said my money would be refunded back to my card. Later I received another email from Paramount Wireless a receipt for $89.00. They charged me twice for service I didn't recieve. I have called them on numbers of times and they promise to refund both payment back too my credit card, this hasn't happen yet. They have promised me week after week that it would be back in my account within five to seven days or so many hours. Paramount Wireless and Tech Support are the same company as stated by Veronica just different departments.Desired Settlement: I expect Tech Support and Paramount Wireless to refund my money back to my charge card.

Review: I called HP tech support to help me connect my HP printer with my HP computer which I had set up the day before. The tech said I had a Trojan horse and I was unprotected. He said I had no protection and he recommended a firewall. He spent two hours telling me about my dangers and then proposed a security system for $199.99 and then they could fix my computer problem. I said ok and they next person recommended a $499.99 package, then showed me that [redacted] would charge $800 for the same thing. When I said no, he then proposed $200 + 50 for tech support. I said no, and he agreed after great resistance to only $200. I thought all along that is was HP but instead it was this company, Paramount Wireless. I put in on my charge card and then some entity fixed my computer and printer. I, had misgivings, and cancelled my credit card because Paramount had my credit card number. I called Paramount yesterday and today to cancel this subscription and the rep wouldn't listen, talked over me, got nasty. His name is [redacted]. He refused to cancel and had not interest in listening to me. I will dispute this charge and have contacted HP about their participation in this strongarm sale tactics. I just called HP to help me with my printer and I have been routed to another company,Paramount Wireless, which I knew nothing about and relied on HP's reputation. I even checked Revdex.com's and saw that this company wasn't accredited even tho their rep, [redacted], said they were accredited. I was scammed.Desired Settlement: I would like my $200 back.

I am very unhappy with Paramount Wireless. I recently bought a new laptop computer and tried to hook it up with my HP printer. I wanted to get the driver needed for my new computer so I tried to "Google" HP on the web. I thought I was going to HP and called a number in the list for "printer drivers". I apparently got Paramount Wireless and they said they were working with HP and could take care of me. I turned my computer over to them and they immediately said I had a "worm" in my network but that they could fix it. They continued to "fix" it and then set up the printer driver. They then charged me $299.99 for this service and wanted to sell me a package for additional protection. I was upset by this and then called HP and they said it was very unlikely that I had a "worm" and they told me they could have given me the directions to download the driver without any cost to me.

Review: I had bought a new HP printer and was having a problem scaning. I went to the web site and there name came up as HP technicians. Before I new it a fast talking technician had me beleiving that my computor was about to crash as it had a bad vires that was causing the problem and he would have to clean it up befor the printer would work. After being talked into signing a $399 US dollar, (over $500 dollar Canadian) contract with them, I found out that his was not the case at all. I had no vires and the problem was with my printer and not my computer which was fixed by a HP factory technician for free.

I am not interested in their service contract as I beleive I was totally mislead.Desired Settlement: There technician spent about 30 min. working on a problem he didn't fix. I do not want to continue with there service contract, that in my opinion was totaly misleading from the begining, so how could I trust them in the future.

Review: When my new computer would not interact w/the scanner on my multi function printer (printer worked just fine), I searched HP online and called the number shown ... I assumed that I was calling HP. I much later learned that I was not. As the process of trouble shooting unfolded I learned that the number I called was Paramount and was told HP contracted with them for such services.

The trouble shooting involved remoting into my computer to which I agreed again still understanding I was talking with HP. in the trouble shooting process, I was told that I had viruses and malware, etc. and needed a total security package to protect against these. While being reticent since my computer was only weeks old, I'd has issues w/a prior computer and did not want to take chances. I asked if I could get a refund if I learned it was NOT needed (I had purchased from Microsoft and would check with them); YES.

In checking w/Microsoft, I learned that they had no idea what the documentation I was given by Paramount meant and assured me this supposed security package was not needed. I proceeded to pursue a refund. Spoke with them at least 3-4 times and was assured I would see it on my statement. Each time I did not, I called again (all times to the 800 number I had, and was reassured - no refund. After 2 calls, I questioned their process and was told there had been an oversight; Adrian assured me I;d see the refund on my statement in 10 days. When that did not happen, I spoke with Rosa the next call; she assured I'd see the refund in 3 days. When that did not happen I called my CC company and learned that the time has expired to see any help from them.

Today (12/**), I checked your Revdex.com site and saw similar reviews by others re this company. I found a non 800 number on your site, called it and got a strange - what seemed like a one word message followed by a strange busy type tone. Strangely, I was told the cost was $199.99; the bill showed $200.00 in my first call requesting a refund when I noted that difference, an apology was made by Marud who assured me I'd see the refund of $200.00.

I;m writing in hope you can assist with a refund of $200.00Desired Settlement: Refund my $200.00

I called [redacted] asking for help for a fax machine not automatically picking up faxes and was told I had 8 viruses networking on my company site. I told them I Needed to wait for approval to accept the 199.00 charge and they were to call me back at 4pm/ after I hung up I could not access anything on my computer it went into safe mode. I could not access anything and nearly loss a 40,000.00 machine sale. It took two hours for the quick books people to fix this and then it only took PW

10 minutes to fix the fax issue but then it took 4 hours to scan the networking stopped errors processes they said were needed. I still cannot get through to [redacted] without PW number popping up which happened in the first place. 199.00 later I would like to make sure they don't have access to my company records since I let them in to fix it. I am really upset with [redacted] for not putting their own phone number on their machines to call...Please advise if you have something to say. Now I do not see a Revdex.com good rating. I am very worried.

Review: I was referred to Paramount Wireless and was told they were part of the Microsoft company. They said they would remove viruses from my computer and build a firewall for me to protect my network and charged me $299.99. They are definitely NOT Microsoft and the service they provide is already provided by another company that I subscribe to. I was lied to about this service, about the need for it, and the service they provide. I have called them several times asking for my money back and they have given me a series of excuses, saying I need to talk to the billing department, yet the billing department is always busy. I have been left on hold for extended periods, and after calling back I was told not to call them again. They also use a telephone system that is broken and scratchy, making it difficult to understand them. this appears to be deliberate as they have been made aware of it and the problem still persists.Desired Settlement: I want my money back.

Review: I was redirected to this third party site by [redacted] due to an installation problem with a new printer.

After letting a representative from Paramount Wireless into my computer system, they informed me that my computer was being hacked and invited me to allow them to 'fix' all the problems and sign up for a service contract for one year at $200. So far: (nearly a month later) my computer is working worse than it was, I continue to get registry key errors and my Spybot software picks up problems every time I run the program.

As far as I can tell, they haven't done a thing except take my $200.Desired Settlement: I wish all they did could be undone, but, I know that will not be done.

I had a similar business encounter with a [redacted] company a couple of years ago and my computer is still limping after they refunded most of my money and said they removed all the installments they did. Not true.

My naiveté with computers encounters persons similar to taking a car in for an oil change and spending over $200. for upsells.

Buyer beware?!?!?! The Revdex.com gave them top ratings.

Maybe a posting about Paramount Wireless would assist future frustrations.

Review: We bought an HP printer from best buy that had a number on it to call an hp provided support through a service called cosmicsolutions that then directed us to purchase a firewall for our computer. we purchased a 5 year plan through a company call Paramount Wireless Inc. we were directly connected to this company after our printer was setup. we payed $1050.00 for a five year plan but when we call to get service the 1800 # does not exist. when we looked up other number for the company we got a private number. The women on that number said she would issue us a full refund because she could not offer us any information about the business but that never happend. Since then I have been given 5 different numbers to resolve this but none of them workWDesired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the amount of $1050 because service was never rendered and I do not believe that this is a real company that provides firewall service . It is a scam.

Review: I asked more than once: will I only be charged the one fee or $249.00 for a two year contract. The answer was yes, only $249.00. I repeated, and that is all I will owe you, and he said yes that is all you will owe us, no more than that. So I gave my permission to charge my BMO card. My BMO statement reads that they charged $316.12. I did not agree to this. I have informed my bank and Paramuont. I was never told that the billing name would be Paramount Wireless, so I didn't even know who was charging me until I did some investigating. They have mislead me to say the least! I thought I had finally found some tech people who were on the up and up and would not lie to me regarding anything, I guess I was wrong again. They should have at least informed me what name the bank charge name would be. That seems to be standard practice with most companies if the billing name is different than the service name. Thank youDesired Settlement: I request a refund of $67.12. I was told I would pay ONLY $249.00 total, and was billed $316.12.
