ParaVi Vineyards Reviews (2)

Review: I have had a membership with Para Vi Vineyards for several years and have enjoyed their wines. I have not visited the tasting room since 9/14/2013. I have been charged four separate times since then: October 2013, January 2014, May 2014, and September 2014. I have recently heard that the winery's tasting room is closed and that they are out of business. My attempts to call have been in vain as no one ever answers the phone and the voice mail box is full. Emails to the address on the website bounce back. I have initiated disputes through my credit card company of all charges since my last visit. It's sad to see a family-run business fail but it's incredibly frustrating to have them take my money and fail to provide the product.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $323.36 I was charged for wine that I never received. I am attempting to get this money back through my credit card company's dispute process but may not be able to achieve this as their timeline is 120 days and 3 of the 4 charges are outside that timeline.

Review: My wife, [redacted], and I have been Para Vi (and Primus) Vineyards wine society members on and off for many years. In late 2012, we moved to WI and visited Para Vi before we left CA. At that time we signed up for the wine society again and over the last year our credit card has been charged many times but we have not received any wine. Following is a list of the credit card charges we've received from Para Vi in the last year:11/24/12 $67.201/12/13 99.203/1/13 44.803/23/13 67.20 - credited below5/9/13 (67.20) - credit received for 3/23/2013 amount6/30/13 89.4410/10/13 51.2001/04/2014 - $83.20For the above $435.04 in charges, we have received zero bottles of wine. I would estimate that this represents about 8-10 bottles of wine at ParaVi's pricing. We have contacted the business owner, [redacted], several times via e-mail and phone calls. Periodically we have reached him and clarified that our shipping address information was correct. Despite these efforts and his promises to ship wine to us, there has neither been any shipments nor any follow up. Given we have been going to ParaVi for years, we took Tom at his word. That was a mistake. Our latest attempt at follow up found that the business phone number ###-###-#### has been disconnected. I am unsure if the tasting room remains open or whether this business still is making wine. I am filing this claim in an effort to recoup the $435.04 that ParaVi charged me without providing any wine and am attempting to alert others that significant caution should be exercised when joining ParaVi Vineyard's Wine Society.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a full refund of the $435.04 charged to my credit card. I have alerted my credit card company to place a stop payment on future charges from ParaVi. I am seeking payment by certified check.
