I live in Park Adams apartments, a complex where the building controls when the air conditioning is turned on For the last several months, my apartment has been between and degrees inside (even when it was or degrees outside) One of the building maintenance workers happened to be talking to my husband and my husband complained about the heatTo his surprise, the gentleman said we should request a window unit, to request it soon, and he could have it installed within a day or two He said plenty were available We had never been told of this "amenity," and when I sent a same-day request for a window unit, I was told none were available My husband and I are miserable but my greater concern is my child

The Park Adams Apartments charges $per month for resident parking However, there are insufficient spaces and my vehicle was towed from the lot

issues the past few months. This is definitely something that we would like to have taken Care of if we had known it was so warm in your apartment home. checked through our service log tickets and have not seen a maintenance request entered since November 1, 2016. Unfortunately, we are unable to troubleshoot or repair any problems in your apartment home if we are unaware of them.In response to One of my maintenance technicians telling your husband about a window unit, can neither Confirm or deny what was said during that conversation. I can tell you that we do have several portable units, however they are all Currently being used. We planned to purchase some additional units, however were informed that they will not arrive before we Complete the Switch to AC (Currently scheduled for Friday, April 21). Since we operate on a boiler chiller system there are Several time-consuming steps that must be completed meticulously before the system is switched to avoid any complications that Could further delay in providing AC. We must completely drain the pumps and allow the towers to cool in order to refill the tanks that will generate the Cold Water that will provide AC. During this time we will not have heat or AC, which is why we have to make sure we're scheduling at a perfect time consistent with the weather.Per Virginia law We are required to provide heat to all of Our residents, but not required to provide AC. With that being said, We need to make sure that we are out of the cold temperatures at night to begin the process.This is a standard procedure that we go through every year for the AC switch, as well as every fall for our heat switch.
