They have 100% lied to me and my insurance company. Please take note the the dentist I see/saw was incredibly kindThis is the WORSE dental office. They have 100% lied to me and my insurance company. Please take note the the dentist I see/saw was incredibly kind and helpful, it is their administrative staff who are complete jerks. Repeatedly sending bills for FULL payment on an exam thats covered by my insurance company who they NEVER submitted the correct information to in the first place. So upon calling ....again....to find out why im getting the same bill they stated they tried to run my insurance last week, so I called the insurance company who said they had not submitted a claim in multiple months let alone last week!One of thier office answers the phone as if its her personal cell phone and argues with you if you question her on anything.[redacted] FLAT OUT LIESThey hung up on my insurance company rep twice, they hung up on me they stated they spoke to the "owners" about my claim because it was absolutely not their fault and I would have to call them back with my insurance agent conferenced in, to which they put us on hold then claimed ignorance that me and my insurance rep magically sat on hold for 12 minutes with....no one, I know this because I called back on my office phone where I was told I was not on hold and I didn't call. Such disrespectful people.Rude, and untruthful.Just a warning, they do not adhere to the customer is always right policy no matter what the situation is. They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them instead of trying to correct the situation.Desired Settlementan apology and release of all my dental records.Business Response Park Avenue Dental Center has been providing dental care for its patients since 1995. We take pride on what we do and appreciate any feedback from our patients as we strive to provide excellent service. In reference to the above complaint, our "office policy" in place that has been signed by the patient states the following:"ASSIGNMENT OF BENEFITS AGREEMENT Our office will accept payment directly from your insurance company with the following provisions. It is important to understand, though, that the contract regarding your dental benefits is between you, your employer, and your insurance company. The obligation you have with our practice is to pay for the treatment, regardless of the amount that may or may not be reimbursed by your insurance company. The following provisions identify our policies governing insurance claims:Although we are willing to complete insurance forms and submit claims on your behalf, we do not accept responsibility for the outcome of the transaction. Completing insurance forms is a courtesy we extend to you in an effort to maximize your insurance reimbursement. It is important that you understand that this does not eliminate your financial obligation to us for your treatment...Our office makes no guarantee that your insurance company will pay for any treatment you receive from this practice, or what amount they may pay. We perform routine insurance billing procedures upon verification of coverage. However, if your claim is denied, or paid at a lesser amount than anticipated, you will be responsible for paying the full balance at that time..."After attempts to collect payment by the patient's dental insurance, for services provided, claim was denied. We were told that the patient needed to contact his current dental carrier and update information about his primary insurance which according to them was still in effect. This message was relayed to the patient. Also a statement was sent to him as another way of correspondence. This situation has upset the patient. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, as per the above office policy we have followed standard insurance billing protocol. We will agree that the patient seeks another practice as we have not met his expectations. Thank you for the opportunity to respond!Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They are still not telling the truth. They did inform me it was denied once which was a clerical error and was resolved with the insurance company and they were informed multiple times to resubmit the claim. Months later they sent the bill to me again Not the insurance company. When I called the woman mentioned above told me they resubmitted the claim the week before contacting me and it was denied again. The insurance company did not receive any such claim and even worse the dental office then stayed they never sent another claim and complete ignorance to it every brewing resolved. It is a recorded conversation that I am 100% happy to provide. When asked why she had lied to me in an attempt to collect a debt not owed while on the phone with me and the insurance two she hung up on us both. When I called back to speak to get manager I was told "we don't have a manager is just us girls really". Mind you this is not long after the two had just finished telling me that she spoke to the owners who told her to tell me my claim was denied again the week before. Final Business Response As previously stated We appologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to the patient. Our goal is to provide the highest standard of care, to connect with our patients and be personable. It seems we have not met this consumer's expectations. We will agree that the patient seeks another dental provider/dental office to continue treatment. We will provide all records according to HIPPA regulation and policies. Thank you!
