He did contact us regarding the price of the vehicle and received the correct price from us

I am responding to the complaint filed with your office from *** ***We (Park Ford)
entered into an agreement to lease a new, Ford Escape with Mr*** on December 15th, During the sale process Mr*** was offered figures on a conventional purchase and a Ford Red Carpet LeaseHe had a considerable amount of equity on the vehicle he was trading inHe explained that the dealership he bought his trafrom had "screwed" him over and would never go back there againThe payments were higher than he was comfortable with on the purchaseWe showed him numbers on the lease and told him we would be able to give him a check back for $5,and still be able to keep his payments lowerHe was apprehensive about leasing but really liked the payment and getting the check back, and decided to go forward with the leaseSigned all the lease paperwork and left with the vehicle that dayMr*** on two days after taking delivery and told us he was uncomfortable with the lease and didn't want to stay with the leaseWe told him we would switch the paperwork to a purchase for him and told him again what the payments would beHe said he did not want his payments to be that highWe had our Floor Manager, *** ***, talk to himHe explained leasing in further detail and offered to give him an additional $in trade equity back to try and make Mr*** more at easeMr*** shook his hand, smiled, and thanked him for explaining the lease to him and for the extra $He left that day completely satisfied
During the sale process Mr*** also wanted remote start, Xzilon paint protection/fabric protection, and a Garmin navigation systemHe made an appointment to have these things done on December 23rd, He dropped his vehicle off, and we gave him a loaner car to drive as a convenienceWe installed these items as agreed, and his salesman, *** ***, explained how the remote start and the Garmin workedMr*** at that time told *** that he wished he would have bought it instead of leased it*** explained the numbers again and he left that day completely satisfied with what we did for him*** followed up Mr*** a week later to make sure he was happy with his treatment, and Mr*** said that he was but wished he wouldn't have leased
We at Park Ford take pride in our customer's satisfaction, and our customer satisfaction ratings with Ford reflect that prideWhen Mr*** came in the following day, we not only listened to his concern, we gave him additional money to ensure his complete satisfactionWe feel we have done everything we could to try and satisfy Mr***, and as many times as he said he regretted his decision to lease, he also has said he could not afford the payments if he would have decided to purchase the vehicle insteadHe does have the option to purchase the vehicle at the end of his lease term
I am available to answer any questions that your office may have regarding Mr***'s situationI am also willing to sit down with Mr*** and answer any questions he may have as wellThis is an unfortunate situation, and we understand Mr***'s concernWe could not and cannot, however, make Mr***'s payments as low on a purchase as they are on his lease
