Review: I brought my car to this parking garage at 11:20am on Monday, 12/*/15. I asked the attendant how much it would be, and noted that I am an NYU faculty member (I had heard they have a discount for the NYU community). The attendant asked me what time I could pick up the car, and I told him around 7pm. He said with the NYU discount it was $17 until 11:20am the next day, and I asked again "what time?" to be sure I got it, and he pointed to the time on my ticket, which said 11:20am, and said "11:20am, same price." So since it is easier to pick up the car when my kids are at school, I left the car overnight (I live a block away and normally have monthly parking in our garage, but had loaned it to a friend.) I walked into the garage on Tuesday, 12/*/15 at 11:15 am with my ticket, and there were different attendants, and they told me I owed $39. I explained that I had gotten the NYU discount and was told it was $17 until 11:20am, but they just argued with me and were very rude and said to give them $39 or they would not give me my car. I called the management office, but they just said again that I owed $39; that the discount was only for 12 hours. I could have easily picked up my car the previous evening if they had told me that when I checked in. The people were very rude, and would not acknowledge that perhaps the attendant had told me the wrong time when I checked in. I know for a fact that he said 11:30am because he pointed to it on the ticket.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. The amount of money isn't very much, but if people are permitted to be rude and cheat people, they will continue to be rude and cheat others, which isn't right.
