Amar came out to replace a UV bulb in the furnace and give the air conditioner a spring tune-up. He also checked out the whole house fan, which was not working. All matters were taken care of (YAY), and his explanations were helpful. I will ask for him next time I need help on any of these machines. He did a thorough job, explained things clearly, was gracious, watched out for my dogs when too many doors were open.

IF IT WERE POSSIBLE I WOULD NOT GIVE THEM 1 STAR. IT WOULD BE A MINUS. This is the worst company my husband and I have EVER dealt with......I do not know if I have enough room of my complaints since 2013. I am spending over $5000 after their replacing a former Heat/Air unit. They never put a pan under the heating unit in the attic. Imagine your ceiling falling through? They put in the wrong filter. They never replaced the duct work per contract. Who climbs into their own attic to check when you trust a company? Is this why they never called for a final inspection from the City? They moved the insulation and never put it back and the flue is questionable. Added to the rest they never had a final inspection from the City, which now could cost me more money. I have tried to get them to give me an explanation about the final inspection and no one will return my calls. Surprised? NO.....We are not a happy people with this company, that when Duke and Linda had it, it was awesome. I just wish they had let customers know they had sold.......RECOMMENDATION: Please have nothing to do with this company, as it is nothing but a headache and more. I hate any business to go out of business but they deserve it immensely.

Overall my experience has been good. The quality and performance of the system installed is excellent. The technicians who have been to my home were professional, polite, and know their business. On the downside, the organization overall is lacking in organizational skills! A few months ago there was a no-show for a scheduled repair appointment, and today I was scheduled for my semi-annual inspection of both the HVAC system and of plumbing. The HVAC technician came, and did a great job BUT the other technician was a no-show. I am not taking a second half day off work for the remainder of the inspection so I don't know how Park will resolve this issue.

[redacted] from Park Mechanical did our service today and was very professional. HE answered my questions and was helpful and friendly.

Review: Co. came for a full house plumbing inspection on 07/25/2013. A supervisor from from [redacted] & an employee name [redacted] The sup. stayed w/ me & said I needed a new water heater & tried to sell me a water purification system. [redacted] & my care giver inspected things. When [redacted] took the lid off my toto toilet the said it was all wrong. He stuck his hand in the tank and fiddled around. That night when I went to flush it, it wouldn't flush. [redacted] came back & stuck a screw at the base of the fill tube to hold it until we got a new one. $269.00

He said we needed a new fill tube that was much higher to telescope up the fill valve. I called my long term plumber who came out & said you people know nothing about toto toilets. [redacted] things to do were totally wrong. My plumber fixed it. I tried to reach part owner [redacted] at park mechanical. He returned my call once didn't really listen & then blew me off. This is a man I trusted. What a mistake. Desired Settlement: An apology from the company since I was a 25+ year customer.Reimbursement for their $69.00 bill & reimbursement from my plumbers bill to fix it properly.

$69.00+$231.25=$300.25

Initial Business Response

Customer Service Rep contacted our valued customer, we provided her with a $300 refund which she has recieved by mail, she was happy with the communication from the Customer Service Rep, as a final note we will have the Sales Rep contact the customer to ensure she is completely satisfied. Complaint has been resolved.

Park Mechanical did their review of our equipment. It was great. Service person arrived on time, respectful and helpful. Will continue to use their services.

Chris Wilson serviced my HVAC system in accordance with my "Planned Service Agreement". He was very thorough, and very polite. He was a definite improvement over some technicians who have come before.

I had a question about another one of the company's services. He didn't know the answer, but was persistent in getting an answer from an appropriate staff member./

Review: Park Mechanical installed a [redacted] Elite Series G61 Two-Stage, High-Efficiency Gas Furnace in our home in 2005. We have had no problems. (Park also installed our upstairs [redacted] Heat Pump and a downstairs [redacted] air conditioner at that time.) In 2012, we began paying Park $270/yr. for a "Club Membership" that covered annual inspections and discounts on repairs. They guarantee membership could be cancelled any time with a "100% no questions refund." In 10/13, their tech reported: "found rust on (furnace) burners, HE (heat exchanger) look OK at this time." In 09/14, their tech noted our ducts had "rips, tears, and vapor barrier issues" -- and recommended replacing 2 ducts for $775. He also reported: "all three (furnace) burners very rusty. Also noticed very heavy rust on heat exchanger cells 1 & 2." He warned of carbon monoxide poisoning if the heat exchanger rusted through, and suggested we replace the furnace. He said we might be able to get a few more years out of it if we replaced the burners for $357 and the heat exchanger for $2,800. He also sold us another $180 1-yr "Club Membership" for the furnace. We pointed out there was a lifetime warrantee on the heat exchanger. He said he would call [redacted] to see if it covered rust problems.A different tech came back later and told us the tears in our ducts' plastic vapor barriers were "cosmetic" and there was no reason to replace them. However, he was concerned about the rust on the burners and heat exchanger, and said [redacted] would only pay to replace the heat exchanger once it rusted all the way through.Park called 1 month later, trying to sell us a new furnace. We called a local "Premier [redacted] Dealer" for a second opinion. Their tech said our ducts were fine. He noted: "rust on burner ends -- little rust on inside of burner, and minor rust on bottom of heat exchanger cells." He felt there was no need for any repairs. We have asked Park for a refund of our "Club Membership" 3 times in the past month. They don't return our calls.Desired Settlement: We no longer trust Park Mechanical, and feel they are trying to sell us unneeded repairs -- or better yet, a replacement for our 9-year-old high-end furnace. Their "Club Membership" Agreement says they offer a "No Quibble" Guarantee: "If for any reason, you aren't happy with your Club membership, you man cancel the agreement, and get a 100% "no questions" refund." We want the $180 we paid them in September 2014 for an additional 1-yr "Club Membership" refunded to us.

Business

Response:

Park Mechanical has a 100% refund policy on the our Club membership. We would like to resolve this challenge and would like to offer a complete refund of the requested amount of $180.00. We have some coaching that needs to be done with in our organization and working to ensure future satisfaction.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern. I would welcome a refund of my $180 "Club membership." Park Mechanical's Club Membership Agreement stated:"No Quibble" Guarantee: If for any reason, you aren't happy with your Club membership, you may cancel the agreement, and get a 100% "no questions" refund. It took at least three unanswered calls to their office and a complaint to the Revdex.com, over two months' time, to get them to offer a refund.Do they still get an "A+" rating from the Revdex.com?

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:Consumer states that the business has failed to follow through with the agreed upon refund. They have not received any form of communication from the business.

We've had Park Mechanical in twice, to install a water softener and to repair our heating system. Both times the people they sent in were professional, they asked us before they took any action, and there were absolutely no surprises or hidden costs.

We've used Park Mechanical for some time now for our heating and air maintenance. Richie S. was by far the best service pro they have sent out to us. He was on time, very knowledgeable, and was impeccable in his service! He even cleaned everything spotless before he left! That is not what has happened before with their other service pros. I will ask for Richie S. each time from now on out when Park Mechanical services our hvac and know that if I have specific questions he can answer them AND leave the place as spotless as he found it! Thanks Richie S.!

Review: I bought a water treat system through Costco and Park Mechanical was a contractor to install the system. The system did not work as it supposed to. Park Mechanical technician came out 4 times and could not fix the issues and did not what was wrong with it. They keep sending out technician to test the water treatment system. It does not resolve the problem, but waste everybody's time. In additional to that, they keep changing their appointment time without notice. It was so unprofessional and frustration to customers. I would not recommend anyone to do business with this unprofessional company.Desired Settlement: I need a new water treatment system or refund my money since they do not know what is wrong with this one. I bought the system less than a year and the system never work since day one.

Response:

Business states that they are aware of consumer issues. They are currently looking into the situation and will be contacting customer within the week.

[redacted] came out last week to examine our sewer line. He was very pleasant and professional, and gave a quick and accurate assessment later confirmed by the County squad that had responsibility for the line blockage. Appreciate the sound advice and direction about how to resolve our issue!
