Customer purchased a year old vehicle in condition We performed a safety and mechanical inspection prior to listing the vehicle for sale From this inspection we identified the issues to the best of our capabilities We also advised the customer numerous times that he was welcome to get his own inspection performed prior to committing to purchase the vehicle He declined Vehicle was discounted $1,to help some of the cost of repairs His salesman of record has been on medical leave for months, so probably why he has been unresponsive to the customers e-mails

facilitated the transaction for *** ** *** the then-owner of the ’MustangThe car had an Arizona title with *** ** *** as owner that was turned into ** to transfer ownership to the buyer** handled all paperwork for the sale to *** ***I immediately had problems with the car as soon as it rolled off the auction block at the venue.Park Place Response:If he had problems, he never mentioned them to either ** or Park Place (“PP”) until months after the car was soldThe car is believed to have been driven over miles by thenAfter the passage of time and the number of miles driven any number of things can happen to a collector car having nothing to do with the previous ownerAll cars at ** collector car auctions are sold and wheas set forth in the ** buyers and bidders contract *** signedIf something was wrong with the car *** had the duty under the contract to notify ** and proceed as outlined in the contract(See attached ** contract below) As I file this complaint the car is inoperable due to the ongoing severe mechanical problems I have experienced since it was purchased. Park Place Response:The car has not been made available to PP for inspection, so we have no knowledge of its current conditionAlso see answers to #aboveI have spent close to $10k over the last months trying to get the car running to no avail.Park Place Response:The car has not been made available to PP for inspection, so we have no knowledge of its current conditionAlso see answers to #aboveThe engine needs to be with thrown away or rebuilt at an estimated cost of $10,000. Park Place Response:See answer to #aboveThe car was advertised online and in print as a professionally rebuilt no expenses spared restorationThe car was stated to have a side oiler which is a very desirable, expensive, rare collector car enginePark Place Response:PP acted only as the facilitator and the agent of the consignor, *** ** *** who provided the information for marketing the carPP has been in the collector car business for over years and we have facilitated hundreds of cars at auction for hundreds of customersWe can only rely on the information provided to us by the consignorNothing is added or changed by PPThe car was professionally built according to the consignor *** *** at a cost of over $180,000 Furthermore, I was provided an appraisal that was done prior to my purchase stating the Side Oiler engine Park Place Response:The appraisal was provided after the sale when *** *** contacted usWe obtained it from *** ***, a prior owner of the carThe car does NOT have a side oiler engineIt has a regular top oiler engineThe engine in the car is approximately worth 60% less according to *** in Las Vegas Park Place Response:We did not inspect to determine if it was a top oiler or side oilerWe relied on the information provided to us by the ownerThe car has not been made available for inspection by PPPark Place misrepresented this car at auction Park Place Response:PP presented the car as described by the owner as is customary in such sales, relying on the description provided by the owner *** ***, in this caseI first communicated my problems to Butch at Park Place on 5-20-and have had ongoing dialogue trying to resolve the misrepresentation part of this since that timeThey have been difficult at best in trying to resolve this. Park Place Response:PP didn’t hear about this until the 25th of May when a call was received from **Correspondence from *** followed some time laterAt this time *** was demanding what he had allegedly spent on the car (some $7,000-$10,000)As stated, PP heard about this over miles and months after the car was sold wheby **The car is not worth what I paid because of the misrepresentation and I would not have purchased it knowing what I know todayPark Place denies any wrong doing or misrepresentation in spite of the overwhelming documentation they provided prior to and at the time of sale. Park Place Response:See all answers set forth herein, PP denies any liability*** purchased the car from *** *** facilitatedby ** and PPPark Place has been advised by *** to return my money in full and has been unwilling to do so. Park Place Response:This statement is falsePP has not been advised as allegedI will be filing formal complaints with other agencies as well as bring a civil action against Park PlacePark Place Response:We think *** is trying to bully us (PP) into a settlement for alleged problems for which we are not responsible as he has been advisedSee e-mail from our attorney dated June 24th and ***’s response of that same date (attached)Hereto *** has gone to the extreme with misstatements about PP in social media, and made threats that he will destroy our reputation, and this complaint appears to be following up these threats intending to cause us great harmI have pictures, documentation, advertisements and more that validate the misrepresentation by Park Place. Park Place Response:Any representation *** has were the representations of *** ***, the owner of the car from whom we obtained the informationI am not an attorney but in my opinion this was intentional misrepresentation (fraud) to sell a car at auctionPark Place Response:We deny any “fraud” or “intentional misrepresentation”PP has been representing cars at auction for over yearsWe have literally bought, sold, and facilitated sale of thousands of collector cars and are well known and respected in collector car auctions*** has damaged and continues to damage our reputation in an attempt to extort his demand that we pay him all of his purchase price and all of the amounts he allegedly spent on the car since purchase

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
This vehicle was misrepresented to me as a buyerThe sales person had maintained all along that the vehicle is a one owner 42,miles car in pristine shapeThe inspection was performed at Park Place by my request as I wanted Park to take on the repairsThe generated report only stated oil leak from one of the gasket covers, door locks inoperative and seat memory issuesAlso, the deal at $included painting the front bumper apron which was not performedThe vehicle arrived here and I had it inspected by Jaguar of Newport Beach where they found multiple oil leaks (both valve covers, front timing cover and main seal) as well as radiator and rear end falling apartIn addition, one of the headlights was cracked and it's socket broken, rear bumper has accident damage, and 3/of the car has been repaintedThese were ALL not disclosed by Monte S*** who was my sales person and not disclosed during the inspection at Park's own facilityDoesn't this smell funny? I think I have been taken advantage of for being a trusting remote location buyer and the Business is responsible for making this rightI would like reimbursement for repairs made to all the items that were not disclosedI am happy to provide copies of repair orders already taken on as well as estimates (including reprinting the vehicle)I am sorry to hear that Monte is on Medical Leave but find it also funny that no one is checking his emailsRegardless, I would like to pursue this now with Park Place's management and reach a resolution
Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
One of the previous scans provided the agreement letter which clearly indicates the repaint of the front valance being part of the deal for $Please see attached PDF HPand HPe-mail that indicates valance is going to be paintedI have highlighted the specific areas in blue so better visibilityThe other attachments include Park Place's inspection report that clearly misses several issues including Front Timing Cover leak, Rear Main Seal Leak, severely sagging headliner, broken left front headlight, rotten radiator support, broken U-joints and transmission mounts and rings, and, of course, none of the paint issues were notedIn the agreement letter (scan HP0003, Monte S***, on behalf of Park Place, agrees the car to be in "great" shape except for areas that have been otherwise notedAcceptance of my deposit and consequently selling the car to me based on that agreement in writing (not to mention ALL of the verbal assurances and communication I had with Monte) did legally bind Park Place not to mention provide a moral standing not to mislead an out of state client who was not present at the location when the sale was completedI have also attached (HP0006) scan of the invoice from the Huntington Beach Specialist shop who took care of the basic problems outlines ($2550) in addition to $I had to pay *** *** *** for their repair of the U-joint, Transmission mount, and radiator support which were all falling apart and were not part of Park's report (see HP0005)There are several other texts and documents to scan and post but it is mostly repetitious stating what has been stated alreadyI am not sure who is responding to the Revdex.com notes posted (there is reference to "I" but no name)If this person wants to discuss more details, they can reach me at my cell number or, alternatively, provide a number where I can reach this "I" personThe reason I had to get Revdex.com involved is because Monte S*** has been unresponsive which I learned through this process that he is on medical leaveFact remains, at the end, that the car was misrepresented by Monte perhaps but Monte sold the car on behalf of Park Place. The RIGHT thing to do for park and the person responding is to take care of a customer that has been mislead, on purpose or not on purposeThank you and let's conclude this quickly not to waste anymore time*** ***
Sincerely,*** ***

If the customer wants to send me additional text messages or invoices to have me reconsider I will review them None of the four files attached changes my stance As expressed earlier, If we missed painting the front valence and agreed to do it, please provide me proof to review Regarding the oil leaks, we disclosed what we noticed which was leaking valve covers

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:See attached paperwork. Park Place is listed as the sole seller in the lower left of the receipt from [redacted].Park Place has been given all the numbers, receipts, information to contact and validate my claims about the Mustang and have yet to place their first call. All the marketing materials, ads, brochures flyers were produced by Park Place.Park Place has now sold this car twice so their knowledge and history with the car is well documented..The is not a "one-off" experience. Search Park Place and read the reviews from others who they have done this to.This car has spent 80% of the time I have owned it in the garage being repaired. I have receipts to prove it. The party who is claiming "no expenses spared and professionally rebuilt engine and restoration" was not telling the truth. The fuel system was hooked up wrong, the bearings in the engine we re already worn, the car was barely drivable when I got it at auction, the peddles in the car fell off at 50mph driving down the road. It is my opinion that someone sloppily threw this car together and hopes someone would take this problem off their hands. The previous owner also had the same issues with Park Place that I am having. The car was misrepresented as to its condition and falsely represented as to the type of engine in the car. Park Place has shown no good faith, remorse, integrity and willingness to resolve this matter. Even [redacted] offered to refund all their fees to help resolve this and Park Place has been unwilling to negotiate in good faith or accept any responsibility for this avoidable incident. The contract I signed as a bidder is between me and [redacted]. It does not give an open checkbook to allow sellers to misrepresent cars for sale and that is exactly what has happened in this case.Park Place has left me no alternative but to litigate in Arizona and file complaints with various State Agencies. Sincerely,[redacted]

Customer purchased a 20 year old vehicle in As-Is condition.  We performed a safety and mechanical inspection prior to listing the vehicle for sale.  From this inspection we identified the issues to the best of our capabilities.  We also advised the customer numerous times that he was...

welcome to get his own inspection performed prior to committing to purchase the vehicle.  He declined.  Vehicle was discounted $1,500 to help some of the cost of repairs.  His salesman of record has been on medical leave for 3 months, so probably why he has been unresponsive to the customers e-mails.
