Our Pre-owned Director has spoken with the client and the other dealer and the below repair has been approved

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Even thought I did go see an attorney because I need legal advise I was told to wait until I heard back from the dealershipEven though I was sold a vehicle that is only worth $6K I would have to either work with themAt this time as Mr *** explained below he's not contacted me because of my last reply to himI would like for him to know that I only had to get legal advise because I felt the need to do soI also understand that the information was not added to the CarFax after the fact of me purchasing the vehicleHowever, I have been given the run around and have wasted so much time and energy and refuse to fall back into Depression because I felt I was getting nowhere with this issue. The car was sold times worth it's current valueI did came to the conclusion that I did not want to trade in the vehicle for one of his in the dealership, because I could possibly not afford a higher car note, 2 I wouldn't now be able to afford any maintenance fees if at any point occurred and I would not like to be stuck with a vehicle note say $20K plus the balance of the Camaro I would be trading in

[redacted]In regards to the complaint from [redacted] to the Revdex.com.  [redacted] and I have had several conversations about the Camaro she purchased from our location in Arlington Sep 30TH 2016.  The first was a phone conversation was on Monday Oct 16th, she informed me...

about the report of structural damage from Carfax on the car she purchased from the Park Place Arlington store.  I told her I would call her back after I reviewed her purchase information and the original Carfax that she signed.  From the date [redacted] purchased is Camaro, there was not any derogatory reports on the Carfax.  I called her back and instructed her to contact Carfax and see what can be done, I also informed her that Carfax had a very large national update of their software in mid-summer of 2017 so a lot of unreported information from insurance companies would show up.Our second conversation was in person at the dealership on Friday October 20th.  She showed up and stated that she email Carfax and they confirmed that they had a national update and new reports would show up, but did they did not have any resolve for her.  I then asked her why she wanted out of the Camaro and she explained she wanted a change and would like a 4 door hard top Jeep Wrangler.  She requested that I buy her car back for the full payoff and she would go buy the Jeep elsewhere.  I informed her that we could not buy the car back but we could help her trade the car.  I showed her 11 Jeeps that we had between our Park Place franchises and told her to choose one and I would work out the detail for the trade from whichever location she found a Jeep.  She asked me what other SUV’s I have at my Arlington location and what model of Mercedes SUV’s were available, I told her the model lineup and price range for our SUV’s.  [redacted] stated that she would go home and look on our website for something she would be comfortable in driving. Her email to on Oct 23rd @ 1:20pmGood Afternoon Sir, Hope this email find you doing great. After getting home Friday and sitting down to see what vehicles you had there I came across to this one. Will you please let me know further details (number wise) in order to trade in the 2014 Camaro for this one? Thank you in advance and look forward to speaking to you soon. Regards, [redacted]My response back to [redacted] Oct 23rd @ 4:48 pmPerfectThat car is going through the CPO process right now.  I will have [redacted] run some numbers for you on that car.Later that afternoon on Oct 23rd I spoke with [redacted] on the phone about the details of the 2015 GLK and set an appointment for her to drive the car on Thurs Oct 26th at noon, she said that time would work because should would be driving from Dallas and wanted to finish before traffic was bad in the early afternoon.  On Oct 25th @ 12:16 pm, [redacted] sent a demand letter:October 25, 2017Mr. [redacted],As you are aware, we have a meeting tomorrow at noon to discuss the return of my 2014 Chevrolet Camaro to Park Place.  I have decided that I am only interested in returning the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro purchased from you on September 30,2016.  My expectation would be that you provide a check made out to myself [redacted] and First Investors Financial Company for the payoff amount upon receipt of the vehicle.I will contact First Investors Financial Company to obtain a 10 day pay off amount prior to noon tomorrow.I have decided that I will be searching for a new vehicle that will provide the best value and fit for my family which may or may not be purchased from Park Place.  Please contact me prior to noon tomorrow so I can bring the vehicle in, at an agreed time, for inspection and settlement amount.Thank you for your time and efforts to date as it is much appreciated.[redacted]My response on Wed Oct 25th @12:17 pm:[redacted],Thank you for your email, but Park Place will not cut a check for you and your lienholder.  You singed the AS-IS agreement when you purchased the car and you have owned the 2014 Camaro for over a year.  As I stated over the phone and in person, I am willing to help you into another car but cannot buy a car back because of the mistake from Carfax.   If Chevy is unwilling to stand behind their certification of the car, I am sorry.  I will do my best to provide you with a service from our store or help any of our Park Place stores if you find a car you would like to purchase, but we will not have a check for your payoff waiting. I spoke with Carfax and submitted a data correction report.  They will do research and let me know if the information reported is correct or if it was made on accident.  I will inform you of their findings in a few days. Thanks [redacted]On Wed Oct 25th@ 12:24 pm, I received a confirmation number about the Carfax claim:Thank you for submitting a Data Correction Request on a CARFAX Vehicle History Report!Your Reference Number for VIN [redacted] (2014 CHEVROLET CAMARO LS) is [redacted].[redacted] response to me on Wed Oct 25th @ 12:50 pm:Mr [redacted],   Thank you for your reply. I will share with my attorney. I look forward to hearing back from you in regards to the findings from Carfax. Have a nice day! [redacted] According to our store policy, once a person contacts their legal party we can no longer have contact and we have to let our lawyers take the case from that point.  [redacted] did not let me finish the case with Carfax because she decided to contact her attorney.  I was not able to conclude her case with Carfax and we were not able to help her find a different car or SUV.On Fri Oct 27th @ 11:42 am, I received my first report back from Carfax.  I did not respond to Carfax because I was instructed to let our lawyers handle this from the point of [redacted] contacting her attorney.Good morning [redacted],[redacted] Carr, here with the CARFAX Research Dept. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me this morning in regards to the research request submitted for the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, VIN: [redacted] As discussed, based on research and data received— the damage record for 02/18/2014 is classified as ‘Other Damage’ as the information received regarding the damage is not a result of a police reported accident at this time. Thanks,[redacted]Pre Owned DirectorPark Place Motorcars Arlington[redacted] TX 76018[redacted]www[redacted].comThe information contained in this transmission may be privileged and confidential and is intended only for the use of the person(s) named above.
